A ridiculous idea on how to "fix" tunneling/gen rushing (hear me out)

In the current game, one gen is equivalent to about 2.5 hooks, lets round up to 3 for simplicity.

Let's change the game to only a single generator can be worked on at a time. The moment the one chosen generator gets done, all gens are blocked until the killer secures 3 hooks. What do survivors do then you might ask? Well nothing, they get to "play the game" as the most common tunneling complaint is. They can walk around the map and cleanse a dull totem or open a chest. If the killer has not secured 3 hooks before the first gen is done, then he can take his time and try and get those hooks. After those 3 hooks, then all gens are unblocked and this repeats.

What if the killer secures 3 hooks before one gen is done? At this point, all survivors become unhookable and unsluggable. Survivors can be put into the injured state, but they cannot be downed. A big invisible barrier is set around the generator being worked on and the killer cannot get close to the generator, to allow the survivors to work on their gen.

We repeat the above until either the killer wins or the survivors escape, now everyone is happy and can "play the game" :)

One person on a generator with no interruptions and zero skill checks (highly unlikely) takes 90 seconds. Successful skill checks add around 1% extra progress. Hook stages are currently 70 seconds each. Your maths is wrong from the get-go unfortunately.

Genuinely what kind of idea is this? Why would anyone want to not play the game just because someone is a little behind, not to mention this literally doesn't solve tunneling as tunneling takes guess how many hooks. 3! I get this idea is seemingly sarcastic but even then, you could try a little harder.

How to fix tunneling: make it so the killer always gets 12 hooks by the time 4 gens are done.

    …Sure man, why not?

I think this is a terrible idea to be honest, and it doesn't sound fun. While tunnelling can be an unpleasant experience for the survivor, it is a tactic used by some killers for several reasons: Lack of killer experience, toxic survivor, survivor initiated chase for gameplay advantage such as distracting the killer. If tunnelling is an unpleasant experience for some players, I would use in game items such as pallets, windows. I would also use perks that could help with the in-game experience.

With aspects to gen rushing, I'd like to know what the problem is? If gen rushing as some call it is a bad experience for the killer, then I would suggest the killer adopt new playing styles to counter gen rushing. There are perks available that can assist you with that such as blocking generators.

Simply put, there will always be portions of the game that survivors and killers will find to be unpleasant we as survivors and killers need to adapt and adopt during our time in Dead by Daylight. I wish you the best of luck in the fog, hope to see you in the game sometime.

For context I am a killer main (p100 blight who loves tunneling) and was just offering an absurd idea to appease the survivors who claim they "cant play the game". I know it's a terrible idea, getting rid of tunneling all together is terrible as well.
