The upcoming rework for Trickster feels like 20% actual rework and 80% nerf.

every other trickster main who played the new trickster called it a buff.
everyone else calls it a nerf because he, no longer isnt a braindead 4.6m/s projectile anti-loop killer
…which those trickster mains mentioned before, hated the design.
when it first came out, when trickster was being reworked to 4.6m/s, no one played him because it was another oppresive killer that forces survivors to run into him for m1 hits rather than loop him normally and completely avoid being downed like any other killer.
even blight and nurse doesnt have this kind of thing, the only other killer that has this in similar counterplay,
was kaneki chasing you, without biting you.
but hes also the most hated killer in the game.
so i rather listen to the people who actually main and play him 24/7.-4 -

For bad tricksters it’s a nerf and for good tricksters it’s a massive buff

Basically this. I think that most people who say that Trickster got nerfed hard are not really good with him and see the point that his movement speed is reduced as the biggest factor. And since this is indeed the biggest complain, you can assume that people who complain about the changes are not Trickster Mains and are in general not that good with him.
So yes, if you are good with Trickster, you will be happy about the changes, if you are not that good, you will struggle. And I am actually fine with that, I like it when Killers are not dumbed down and that you get really good rewards if you are good with a certain Killer, because you put in time and effort to learn them. I am certainly not one of those people, I am not good with Trickster so the changes for me will be bad, but luckily there are over 40 other Killers to play. And so in the end it is fine that not every Killer in the game is for everyone to play.

In the future, the Huntress's Terror Radius will likely increase to 24m, and the ammunition required will decrease to 2.5 rounds.
The speed for Unknown and Artist will also change to 4.4 m/s.

As someone who plays him quite a lot, its mainly a side grade that has the potential to make him better with a few tweaks.
His lethality has increased quite a lot in open areas, and the faster draw speed helps immensely at high wall loops to quickly throw a knife around a corner which sort of compensates the reduction in movement speed. The problem are places with long sight lines where a survivor can just hold W. Being 110 and making him slower while throwing knives means he loses a tone of distance even if you happen to hit all your knives. Trickster already has this issue on live but its gonna be even worst and thats the biggest blow he's gonna suffer from. Main Event is also just really underwhelming. It being just flat out longer instead of dynamic is nice, but you move so slowly that it just makes it extremely awkward to use.
Personally I would make it so you no longer automatically throw knives while activating it, so that you can at least gain a bit more movement speed. I would also keep his current movement speed while in the throw state but still gradually slow down. Right now I feel its a bit too much when also paired with him being 4.4
