Seriously its almost always.

Badham Preschool

Nostromo

Midwich

and lerys

9/10 its one of these 4

variety is the spice of life and getting the same killers is one thing but getting them on the same maps is just getting stale

Is map selection bugged or what is going on

    I just wish for once they'd make me stuck on Fazbear's or a map I actually like playing. Feels like all I load into is Midwich, Dead Dawg, and Lery's these days.

    The weighted maps do get tiring very quick. Doesnt help that the current maps that are weighted arent that good. Quite the killers row of maps we get to play on.

    Completely agree. For me its:

    BHVR could fix this by just bringing back Map Offerings. Otherwise we will continue to be stuck in this "Random" cycle of the same worst maps in video game history. 🤷‍♂️

    it wouldn’t be bad if they didn’t remove the variants of the maps it’s torture I refuse to play nostromo and badham

    yeah even just slight varients would make badham feel nicer to play but i understand badham is very survivor sided and 2 of the varients even more so. so i see why they removed 2-4

    My map variety on normal queue latest 27 matches. (Would be 30 if not the last three playing the new map in its queue.)

    The Game = 4 (offering used to get = 1)
    Treatment Theater = 2
    Nostromo Wreckage = 2
    Eyrie of Crows = 2
    Toba Landing = 2
    The Pale Rose = 2
    Midwich Elementary School = 2
    The Underground Complex = 2
    The Shattered Square = 1
    The Temple of Purgation = 1
    Raccoon City Police Station East Wing = 1
    Raccoon City Police Station West Wing = 1
    Wrecker's Yard = 1
    Gas Haven = 1
    Garden of Joy = 1
    Badham Preschool I = 1
    Coal Tower = 1

    Seems quite random for me The Game is the most common but one of them was map offering one.

    all i want is red forest more, its such a good map. i also like the map wit the temple in the middle

    Good idea. I'll also do 30 and post a record when done. I could track other stuff but maps seem to be the big issue these days.

    Map offerings are bad btw. Now the devs have control which map you are getting sent to.

    this is the first game i personally seen where i cannot play what i wanna play, map offerings should be at least 50% at worse case scenario and should stack, and black ward shouldve been a purple addon, but it would be better to make new purple addon and make it into the same effect of black ward while making blackward into something else since people got thousands of those already since they are brown addon and easily farmable, maps overall are small, loops are small(not talking about the new trickster map), there is no reason to fear maps in dbd, 3gen spawns are even closer than before. people just coping about map offerings, instead of blaming their skillset they blame the maps, year i get it some killers have bad maps but thats not a good reason to shut down map offerings and turn them into 20% chance and non stackable, i stopped using maps because i had times where i spend 15 games with the map offerings until i even got my desired map which makes no sense.

    So now top place is shared by The Game, The Pale Rose and The Underground Complex. Still quite even but the weighted maps are more common but never in a row and closest I have got the same map in the row is after four matches funny part is that I got The Shattered Square, The Underground Complex and The Pale Rose in the same order twice but there was four matches in a row that were in different maps before that three repeated.

    It's terrible, I 100% agree.

    I love the new Trickster map, and I haven't played anything but the Tricksters Delusion game mode since Tuesday, I refuse to go back to normal gameplay because the constant same crappy maps are unbearable.

    Exactly. BHVR took away the only free choice the player base had in Map Offerings and shifted to their 100% Map Offerings on the same worst maps in the game! At least when the player base could choose, there were always methods to counter with another map offering or anti-map offering add-on. Now we have no choice or any method of map selection and are subject to a cycle of constant Autohaven and corn map Hell!

    Still seems to RNG the maps quite good. Did not get a repeat in the new 10 matches at all and got the new map in the normal queue too.

    Its not because of map offerings that you have same maps more because of devs each week or month or in what time window they do it boosting some maps so they have 100% more chance to be chosen than all other maps like all have 3% chance or something like this 2,75% and 6 chosen maps have 6% chance thats why people get maps like the game or badham, nostromo because they are boosted maps and have higher chance to be picked.

    With map offerings being 100% I had as killer and survivor just 6-8 most survivor sided maps all the time because in every game there was one guy that used some offering like for erie,badham, the game, garden of joy etc.

    I'm at the point to permanently leave a map offerings in my addon slot (auto or macmillan) and cross my fingers everytime I queue up that 20% is on my side.

    The difference is when you had the player base using map offerings, there was always the ability to counter or prevent the map in the next match. Now you are guaranteed to get those 6 - 8 "Survivor-sided" maps with no ability to prevent them. I used Map Offerings - specifically Midwich and RPD - in every match as both Killer and Survivor. I enjoy playing on those maps regardless of what side I was on. But I rarely had more than 2 at a time and other players would sometimes counter or block my map offerings. I just think the previous system was such a great feature to have in the game, especially for those of us with 4,000+ hours that have nothing to spend Bloodpoints on besides Map Offerings and the choice to select the maps we really enjoy spending our time on. If Behaviour wants to continue this "Random" feature, at least tell everyone in the lobby what the next map will be so we can choose to leave and try another server before the match starts. Or implement the "Featured Map" dedicated server that they tried out a few months ago. That would make everyone happy.

    I dunno why i'm constantly getting nostromo more than other maps. I'm sick of seeing it it's awful 😭

    You arent guarantee to get them but only have higher chance and be honnest not all boosted maps are always survivor sided now only badham and the game came ho my mind. To counter guarantee map offering you needed to use hand but that didnt meant that map will be chosen and killer can only use one offering compare to survivors where one was just enough to get map and rest could be what they wanted so unless you wanted to be on survivor sided map all the time than you had to use only one offering which isnt much tho and makes this game stale in experience. I had problem with offering not as killer only but as survivor too playing on same maps with killers fearing they will loose because of bad map so they sweat more than now was somehhing very enjoyable experience.
    Maybe 20% is low especialy for that map quality but having map offering guarantee or stack is a problem especialy due to balance of offering options (all 5 players offering have same weight but one side has 4 of them and can tell each other which they will use or someone can use and other has just one with hope of not getting some nasty map offering, this wasnt well done).

    Map shouldnt be that muvh of a guarantee because of DBD balance map is one of the most important elements which shapes and influence the match and to killer variety some are very map dependent like billy is strong (top 5 killers) but on map like larry he drops down or ghostface is playable on larrys but total bum in open map and so on, so lets not fool ourselfs map doesnt matter because map is very important thing like getting badham or haddonfield (back when it was option before removed it) was huge difference or farm map to the game (gideon meatplant), such huge difference that favors one side more than other and kinda decides match outcome from the start ( you will be lucky to get 3k with pig on game map compare to farm map etc.).

    Map isnt only thing shaping the outcome of match but we cant denny it has huge effect on the match.
