MMR Rework Still Needs to Happen
I know the devs said this has been put on the back burner, but we need to keep talking about an MMR rework and keeping pressure on this topic.
Players with thousands of hours being paired with newer players creates matches that are un-fun for everybody.
Stop prioritizing queue times over actual MMR, because it's creating a system that is destroying the fun of this game.

Where did they say it was being put on the back burner? Mandy recently said this:
So it sounds like it's still being worked on.

MMR should be very strict at top MMR. those people who run 100+ winstreaks should be put against top comp ready players only. also blight needs to be 4.4 and he should lose 3 tokens when breaking pallets while his own cooldown(basekit) should be 2sec longer and his fatigue should be 1sec longer. the best way to make the strict mmr is simple, make strict(rankmode) mmr mode and casual mode, people who want to play like today could still do it, while people who want to play rank, should be aware of the fact that they aint gonna get high streaks anymore, make the rank mode ultra strict and fair.

I'm not going way weigh in on the rest of your comment any more than to say I believe the top killers should see some nerfs and the bottom should see a bunch of buffs, but I absolutely agree that MMR needs to be stricter.
I've been matched against Lilith Omen a couple times recently when he was doing a Blight win streak, and I just have to wonder why on earth that happened. Why am I, a solo queue survivor who's only slightly above average in terms of skill, being put up against one of the best Blight players in the world? And I repeat: a Blight player who was doing a win streak, so we were all dead at 3/4 gens both times because he was obviously going all out to ensure his streak kept going.
I remember Behaviour made MMR stricter for a brief period not long after the system was introduced, and a bunch of content creators and others at high MMR complained about having to wait longer to find lobbies. I understand that must suck, especially if someone is a streamer and has an audience they need to keep entertained, but it shouldn't come at the expense of 100s of innocent solo queuers just hopping on for a few chill matches. It just leads to matches where the survivors get decimated, then on the other side of the coin, the next match those survivors could get matched against a brand-new killer and the killer gets decimated. Matches that are genuinely close are much rarer nowadays. It's usually a complete stomp for one side.

What makes you assume players with a 1000 hours are good? See, this is the problem with the MMR discussion. P1000s are often the worse players I get matched with.

Imagine being top MMR waiting 30 minute quques just to get either gen rush swf which finish the game in 3 minutes or hard slugged at 5 gens XD

Yes, this is stuff which can happen. Most of the time it is because of backfilling. A Killer dodged and so the Survivors get a new Killer, just with queuetimes favored over fairness. Most of the time it is a less experienced Killer who gets thrown into a game which will not be fun for them, because someone else was entitled and dodged and sometimes it is a far better player.
But another thing is simply the soft cap of MMR. Once you are over the Soft Cap, you basically have random Matchmaking. Lets say the Soft Cap is at 1600. And once you reach 1600, you can face opponents who are also at 1600 or those who are at >3000. Because otherwise the latter would never find games.
But this just leads to inconsistent matchmaking, something which should be prevented by MMR. Like, my SWF-Mate and I sometimes get Killers which dont know if they play DBD or Minecraft and then in the next game, we go against gamma_ssg, who is one of the Top Blight players. You went from one stomp to a totally different stomp. Yesterday we had a player who had almost 300 hours. I am on almost 11k hours, my SWF-Mate is on almost 8k hours. It is not fair that someone gets backfilled in our Lobby like that.
Which is also why every change to MMR needs to come with a punishment for Lobbydodging or the removal of the pregame Lobby. Because most frustration comes from dodging, at least this would be my assumption. But I doubt it will ever happen.
@Topic:
Dont get your hopes up for a MMR-Rework. If anything happens, it will be very minor. My guess would be that they count the Survivors as a Team instead of Individuals, e.g. if you die but the other 3 Survivors escape, you gain MMR instead of losing it. I think this is the only change which will happen.
As I said, they should do something about Lobbydodging, but they wont do it. They would also not make MMR more strict, because this would mean that Streamers would have a harder time finding games and if you have someone like Otz who streams for hours a day in front of a few thousand viewers basically doing Lobby Simulator instead of his challenges, you would have really bad advertisement for the game and the Devs dont want that.

ye i get u, im on 25+ winstreak since yesterday, im rarely losing games because i nolifed this game for too long, it would be fun to get lilith in my lobby often, the last time i played against that guy he used iri tag with 20% movement speed and we beat him but he was tryharding really like dude played like its pub comping, we did the same tho so the match was pretty even. we got 3 out tho, but the thing is how often i get him? once a year? it would be really good for the health of the game if u throw the sweatiest people in our lobbies, the issue is u know they will complain about it, not every1 is ready to lose games often. im getting back to comp dbd this april, there is nothing left for me to look for in pubs, i tried to have fun, but its either i go with my 4men top team and stomp every game, or i go with randoms and struggle vs medicore andy's, the best solution would be a rank mode. dbd rank where all the sweatiest players can play with rewards, and leave the casuals for normal lobbies to enjoy themselves, they can try to win in those casual lobbies of course but there would be less of a reason to be mad, people would not be mad for losing in pub lobbies as they would in rank, but what im worried about is the cheating problem, the cheating problem will only get worse, so many good games died to cheaters.

The MMR rework needs to happen sooner than later. It should be top priority.

MMR its one of the biggest needs in the game right now. Hope they add an option for a fast and a more precise MMR matchmaking (better for SoloQ)

far too many games have one side being greatly outmatched by the other.
what's the point in playing a game where the entire team of survivors can't survive in chase for 5 seconds? every time i take a long break from this game is always after spending a day playing nothing but those types of games. or on the flipside, what's the point in playing against a killer that struggles to get a single hook all game?
where's the balance BHVR? i know there are restraints but this aint it.
