Can BHVR tell if someone is cheating just by an "Ingame Report"?

If so, that would be nice. You use to have to send in videos.

A recent customer support email has said "The most effective way to flag cheaters is by continuing to use the ingame reporting system, which send important technical data to us and our Anti Cheat Partners. Also feel free to share any video or screen shots of the incident if you have them, don't worry if you don't as we can still process the report without them"

Also, what Data on the other end is being shown that says "Hey! This guy is cheating or abnormal gameplay"

Huh. That is certainly new. I would start reporting people again but the last few that were blatant with evidence i never got feedback for :/

I've reported so many cheaters that I feel like the report feature just doesn't work. Cause I have run into the same cheaters, weeks apart.

Easy Anti-Cheat runs on Kernel Levele, so it SHOULD be able to see Cheats. Previously the ingame report was mainly needed to flag the game and to match it with the Support Ticket you have to send. But it was also required to include any evidence, e.g. a video. Which is IMO such a big hurdle, because not everyone has OBS installed and not everyone wants to go through the hoops to record a video and upload it to Youtube.

If this got changed, it would be a good sign. But I am questioning what exactly will be able to be deteced. I had two Cheaters in the past week, one a few days ago, one today.

Today: Dwight with a very suspicious Build (Hyperfocus, Fast Track, Deadline, Built to Last). In general, Hyperfocus without Stake Out always rings the alarm bells for me, but that Dwight was also mirroring the Killer perfectly while not having line of sight on them. I did not record a video, but Easy Anti-Cheat SHOULD be able to detect something like a Wallhack.

A few days ago: A Wesker who lagswitched. When using his ability, his Ping spiked to over 350 up to 600. Which makes it impossible to dodge his ability, since you are somewhere else on his screen. This player had 10 hours, only DBD on his Steam Account, multiple comments that he is cheating and his main account was recently banned from a game (with again, multiple comments on the main account that he was cheating). Is Easy Anti-Cheat also able to detect a Lagswitch?

Regardless, if this means that you dont have to take videos or screenshots or, even better, dont need to write a Support Ticket, I am all for it.

No idea to be honest. Which is also a reason why I mostly dont even bother anymore to report Cheaters. And I guess I am not the only one. E.g. one of the most obvious cases was years ago for me. It was a Billy who was running Kindred. And yet it was required that I have proof (e.g. a Screenshot), while it was completely obvious and should be noticeable from just the ingame report that someone is cheating. Especially because a video might not even help at all. Cheaters can also affect other players, e.g. a Cheater can make other Survivors jump of the Killers shoulder instantly. For the Killer it is not obvious who is the cheater here, so a video would not even help.

I mean, reports via the Support Tickets is fine for some things. E.g. you will not be able to see things like holding the game hostage or working with the Killer when it is just reported ingame. But EAC should be able to identify cheats without a Support-Ticket just via the ingame Report System.

I recently learned that even if cheaters are banned, they also have programs that can "spoof" your hardware? (I think that's what the term is called, I can't remember...) But they can trick the system into thinking that their hardware is completely different, so they have ways to bypass hardware bans. So after this, I don't think there will be any victory in the war against cheaters and hackers...

For those who need ways to record videos, I could recommend MedalTV. It records your gameplay in the background, and then you press a button to save the last 30 seconds (or you can adjust the length up to two minutes). It's pretty simple to use and you won't have to clutter your hard drive with gameplay recordings.

In game reports do almost nothing its based on how many people report that palyer and than devs take action (I naively though some year ago it does something but it doesnt almost do anything), the key work of ingame report is to catch cheaters that are clear from the start like flying god like dwight screeming every second and making every gen explode and than opening gates instantly etc. or killer bot that downs and hooks all survivors before 1 minute off than match.

The report (Idk if its on forums or the report side thats new) is where you fill it whith info but you need some evidence like record of the time they cheated.

So if its survivor (you can see they are from other platform by that globe mark mostly epic) and they are cheating like speeding etc. and other survivors dont pay attention to it well it takes ages before they get banned and some subtle cheaters that are very clever (avoiding majority of players that come in contack with them by hiding their cheats good) are almost impossible to get rid of thats to that great way of dealing to cheaters so yeah only the ones that are bold enough can et banned fast the rest stays for long time and than when they get banned (maybe in next decade) they buy another account on epic with price around 2 dollars and they are good to go again.

This game isnt survivors or killers paradise but cheaters one just for 20 euros mothly or waht it costs you can do so many things for so long time and ingame systems wont stop you, great for others that dont cheat and want to play game normaly indeed.

Not to mention i encountering more people play in swf teams it seems (perks and and names or getting them few days again) and having cheaters or cheater in team to feel good.
