2026 Stats are HERE
The Dbd stats of 2026 are here and I'm gonna present them to you
Sable is the most picked character of 2026 but is it really a big surprise?
Ace players in that high MMR are doing good
Ghoul with a Staggering 8.1 pickrate reallying showing how we see Ghoul 4 times in a row in matches. Huntress claims the global spot our queen of hatchets
Krasue takes the top spot of Killing machine but I'm not really surprised her overinflated stats are after everyone quit playing her. The First in second place which is kinda a funny joke given the name with twins in 3rd and ghoul and lich in 4th and 5th.
In the broad ranks Lich takes number 1 in public stomper will lich be receiving a nerf soon beating the known noob crusher Freddy who's in 2nd place while Sadako takes 3rd place good job girl I'll pin your ribbon on your well and finally Dredge and Pinhead take 4th and 5th well done fellas I'm pleasantly surprised.
That concludes the stats of 2026 are these stats what you expected leave your comment down below.

When the Ghoul has a higher pick rate then sable 😬 We getting spoiled tho, stats again so soon.
Shout out to ace mains who have the highest escape rate and the 10 Quintin mains they used for data to get him to second! 😂
Also shout out to ghoul again, for maintaining such a high pick rate while being able to maintain a over 60% kill rate. very middle of the road I would say! /s8 -
I'm honestly surprised to see Krasue there in the high MMR, I kinda wanna see how top players play her. She's always far too clunky for me.
Not too surprised to see Kaneki up there, but honestly Lich is a welcome surprise. I enjoy the mindgames with him.
Also, Sadako still being on the top 5 in broad hurts.0 -
"Broad MMR" 😂
It's OK BHVR, you can call us low MMR. It's not gonna hurt our feelings.
The original BHVR post listed "high MMR" as being the top 18% of the player base. A surprisingly big bracket, tbh. I can see there being quite a big difference between players at the bottom end of that 18% compared to those at the very top.
As much as I appreciate these stats, I feel like they don't really tell us a lot. There are 42 Killers and 52 Survivors in the game at this point, can we at least get a top ten? I could have guessed most of these stats. We don't really need official stats to tell us that Sable/Kate/Feng are popular Survivors or that the usual suspects chosen by competitive Survivors are the ones that escape the most. We already know. The stats might be a little more interesting further down the rankings.

Krasue is a really strong Killer, but also an unpopular one. So only very few dedicated Mains play her and since those are good with her, her Killrate is high. Meanwhile players who might be bad with her are not playing her.

Oh I agree, but I also think there are other killers far stronger than Krasue with less issues.
But, it's more likely as you said, less people playing her compared to more popular killers giving interesting stats.0 -
True, but since more players are playing those, they perform overall worse. I mean, you can see it quite good with the Survivors IMO.
Top 5 popular Survivors at high MMR are almost completely different than highest Escape Rates. And if we look at someone like Ace, this is a character often used by Comp-players, so it checks out why his escape rate is the highest. Aber Tapp, Quention and Adam are super rare and so you only have very few players who are good with them who boost up the stats.
Same for Killer. Years ago we had Pig with one of the highest Killrates, simply because she was rare and there were some really good players on her.

I'm not sure how Lich is surprising when they're 115%, four different powers with individual cooldowns, a bug that makes his ghosts spawn within his ankles instead of the correct height that's never been resolved, and chests acting as a mini side objective.
5 -
Mainly because there are other killers I'd see much higher than him in a general sense.
Aside Lich's counterplays, which newer players will absolutely struggle with (I'd know, I play Sadako), there are plenty of other killers that have confusing kits and confusing counterplay, or straight up more lethal without knowing every counterplay.
It could also be the same case as Krasue, as Lich is still a bit of a rarer killer to see so their dedicated players are carrying the weight. Heck, I'd argue all 5 killers on the Broad MMR side aren't very common. I'd still love to see overall pick rates compared to their kill rates.2 -
Considering how often I see people state they’re in high MMR, I’m surprised to see 18%, rather than like 30%.
Aside from that, these stats don’t surprise me too much. I think the jump from the average of regular survivors escape rates of 43% to 47% in the top 18% in comparison to averages of regular killers being 65% to top players 67% is pretty interesting. Even the average regular killers are pulling success rates that are pretty close to their highest MMR players. Well done!

bearing in mind what we know about DCs and the Abandon feature, we should take escape and kill rates with a pinch of salt.
-1 -
I'd love to see the numbers including the DCs, considering half of Ghoul matches seem to have at least one.

If people paid attection they would easily find out that every stat release the killers that are on broad mmr kill rates top are lich, freddy, sadako, pinhead and it has been like this for few years some killers even longer like freddy.

Stats are from some date to some x date (till this years february) so people should pay attention to this because is this time window krasue was released in super broken state and mayers got in same patch his rewok and his pick rate was way higher than new killer krasue.
These stats are from last half of the year just like previous where hardly dominated freddy and some smartheads were here going crazy that freddy is op but it was mainly because his long time awaited rework happened and people picked him a lot and devs took stats from that time.
Personaly Im more surprised where is blight like kaneki got now kinda nerfed plus fixed at the same time and blight got buff with his dash hitbox being bigger as it should be (by devs) so its kinda interesting why he isnt there when in last stats he was dominating even nurse was there in high mmr stats.

seeing lich at the top genuinely makes me happy

So since BHVR released official kill rate stats that are showing some killers overperforming, when can we expect some adjustments to these killers?

Bear in mind that if "top 18%" is defined as "high MMR" and you compare that to the elo distribution of chess then it equates to around the same elo as around 1950 elo. Which is what we would consider to be a "high skilled casual player" in the chess world. Like, the hustlers you see in public parks, type of skill level.
Also keep in mind that this accounts for a recent rating boost that FIDE did in 2024. If you look at the distrubution before that, it would have been around the 1600 range.

Are we also going to buff nurse because she's often the lowest kill rate? Just looking at only the numbers doesn't tell the whole story.
For example, look at all of the killers performing the best in the broad category:
- Lich
- Freddy
- Sadako
- Dredge
- Pinhead
What do all of these killers have in common? They have a power that is difficult for a newer player to understand and/or a secondary objective.
Lich chests are confusing to new players. Waking up is confusing against freddy. Sadako tapes, dredge nightfall, pinhead box. Pinhead also isn't available anymore, so players will play against him far less often.
All of these killers have mechanics that you have to play against them several times to really fully understand what is going on in order to deal with them.
Similarly, if they released the bottom 5 killers, i'd suspect they would be something along the lines of:
- Nurse
- Hag
- Doctor
- Huntress
- Skull merchant
Now skull merchant would likely be there just because she is legitimately a bad killer at this point. Doctor would be there because he is a favorite killer for those afk bots that just spam shocks for bloodpoints. And nurse hag and Huntress are going to be there because they are killers that are quite difficult to play without using their powers, and their powers are difficult for lesser skilled players to use.
This doesn't necessarily mean we should just buff all 5 of these killers (probably SM needs buffs, and i'd say doctor might need a slight buff [maybe just make a few addons basekit or something]) But do the others need buffs too?

They make a DC Rate list for Killers and Ghoul will have a 50% dc rate
0 -
They just don't wanna hurt your feelings by calling not calling you baby mmr but seriously we have a ton of killers 42 of em we should probably get a top 10 killer rates

I want to see kill rates by platform, or ideally, input device.

And an 80% KR

I've played online chess on and off for years and I managed to grind my way up to around about 800 elo in Rapid. I wouldn't be that strong these days because I've not played for a while. Anyway, I'm a low rated player but believe it or not, that's still high enough to put me in the "top" 20% of players. Someone around 1900 is in the top 1-2% and would absolutely destroy me in a game of rapid chess. I wouldn't say they were a casual chess player at that level (especially not if they have an actual FIDE rating).
But then again, I would never be matched up with 1900 rated player because online Chess has a ranking system that actually works and is meaningful. Chess is played by millions of people worldwide, so naturally I can easily find appropriate opponents around about my skill level, but DBD only has thousands of players siloed onto local servers by necessity and it doesn't have such a luxury. Mismatches will be common.
So yeah, I do think there probably is a huge difference between top and bottom of "high MMR" for DBD. Not that I think DBD and Chess are really similar at all (because they're not). The only thing they have in common imo is that to be genuinely good at both games, you need to be very dedicated to learning. It's not enough by itself to play and expect to improve beyond a certain point.
