Why can't Killer bots come to the game in customs?

Why can't you guys just add killer bots to customs? if you want to help the new player experience than bots in customs would help alot, or a dedicated bots mode as a separate queue, however I'd say that bots queue could be heavily limited, as we want players in the regular queue, and disconnecting bots as well, I'd rather be able to finish a match than waste an offering for a killer dc.

I am one of the biggest advocates for this. It is such an incredible resource and the fact that only one role has access to it really frustrates me. We all want survivors to be better, but there are over 40+ different killers with different counters, add-ons, along with all the killer perks, survivor perks, and map knowledge. At some point it begins to be unreasonable to expect players to not only absorb all this information, but successfully be able to utilize it to make the best plays with no way to actually practice. For the survivor role it is trial by fire every single game.

I also want to see killer bots added in part so killers could leave games after gate power. That being said, it won't be done. Partially because of how people dislike the idea of that exit-gate situation, but more over because of what you said. "There are 40+ Different killers with different counters, add-on's, along with killer perks."

For a survivor bot you just code a standard bot who interacts with the objects and perks appropriately. It becomes plug and play. For killer however you have to have a dramatically different bot for each individual killer. Instead of making 1 bot, you now have to make 40. It's a huge amount of work.

It’s absolutely is a huge amount of work, I agree with that. But killer bots do already exist in 2v8, so it’s not an impossible technology. Whether or not they will ever deem it worth the time or effort however remains to be seen. I know that it may never happen, but I won’t stop advocating for it because I believe it’s an important resource that should be shared amongst all players, not just one role, and that it would help newer players/returning players immensely. I don’t think there are any downside aside from the effort and time.

I would honestly settle for a Trapper bot with full access to every map and Survivor perk so that we can at least explore tiles and map spawns at our leisure without the pressure of a real game. I want to be able to scout out set ups to loop around while the bots slam the gens. I don't think that's too much to ask for a mere 10 years into the game's lifespan.

I've played the Survive with Bots mode more times than I care to admit to practice my looping but that's only one single map on the MacMillan estate. Yes, Trapper bot is very stupid and he constantly whiffs at air, but he's still better than having nothing at all to practice against.

I would advocate for it, but having seen the way the bots are tweaked in 2v8 makes me wonder if the task isn't self-fulfilled failure. I think there's a solid reason BHVR hasn't just solved the us vs. them arguments by fully botting the killer role out and only balancing accordingly - the bots are just vastly overachieving in X Y Z, but under achieving in M N and O. Nothing that couldn't be hashed out individually of course, but I have my doubts.

I still advocate for it of course, but I just don't think survivors would much enjoy playing against bot killers, even in the event of killer leaving. I'd love to be wrong, as it would create a window through which to avoid alot of the games inherent toxicity.
