Killer's Rage DC'ing is getting out of hand.
Everyone loves to complain about survivors DC'ing and I get it if it's premature (some survivor bots are better then the actual player tho). There's nothing like playing against sweaty killers you just hate and I personally don't dc until the mori scene cause "they never change and I've seen them all" but lets talk about these salty killers Rage Dc'ing because they can't catch-n-kill anyone. There needs to be a very high penalty for that. It doesn't just eliminate bp's for killer it also eliminates bp's for survivors and closes out the entire match. Depending on how soon the killer dc's it could be a huge amount of bp that they know they are denying survivors and it's wasting the time of 4 other people. At least when survivors dc there is a bot that replaces them. Honestly I would love to go up against a bot killer (given that the bot cannot detect a survivor without them setting off some indication or being in a certain distance to claim chase) But no one is going to get better by dc'ing. Playing killer is freakin easy!!!! My killer main is Myers and without out breaking a sweat I can get 4k every freakin match, even against a 4man bully squad without using lightborn. (Frankly, they bring out the best in me, game on.. lets do this) I don't want to throw shade so I won't go on about entitlement or the lack of skills in these killers but perhaps practice arena's for those really needed to learn to play. The tutorial is very brief but for killer a full on arena with 4 bots and the match is in stages that teach strategy or.. perhaps I am just thinking too much and a simple MASSIVLY HIGH PENATLY will prevent these salty killers from Rage Dc'ing just because they can't catch or kill everyone. Seriously, there is no excuse about it being hard. Practice makes perfect. Keep going and get better. Games have gone from lasting well into the hour to "i cant catch or kill anyone so Im'a be salty and Rage DC cause to hell with them" within sometimes the first 5 minutes of the match. Absolutely zero of my friends play anymore because its just too irritating to deal with.

It is frustrating when killers do that. DC penalties should be harsh across the board imo. Always winds me up when someone DCs early game survivor or killer.
Idk why they dont have killer bots instead of just instantly ending the game. An early dc by a killer does deny a lot of game play. Recently had a skull merchant dc in the first few mins of a match because i pulled a clean pallet save against her. And on the other side I've seen a few survs instantly dc when they realise I've been running lightborn as killer which is frankly pathetic.
I get that some people accidentally DC legitimately because of bad connection but the vast majority are obviously ragequits because someone went down early. It's really something BHVR need to crack down on. Really ruins the game.

We need Killer bots in the game so it does not just end if a killer dcs but agree in regards that the double standard in the community when it comes to killer dc and survivor dc is extreme.
I see it in content shorts. their was a killer dc on a survivor and everyone was just blaming the survivor for bulling the killer. meanwhile you see survivor dc clips and people in comments are complaining about the fact they dced.
I've seen people want killer to be able to abandon when the gates open meanwhile complain about survivor abandon options.
seen some killers who dc on maps they don't like which is basically the same as dcing on a killer you don't like but killer side does not get called out nearly as much for it .2 -
As a survivor main, I don't care if the killer DCs, for a few reasons.
1. When they DC, the match ends and the survivors win. No time wasted, you can just go queue for the next match.
2. They are alone on their side. If they get looped so hard that they feel like they are out of their skill level, then I don't mind if they leave if they give up. I very much prefer this over them just AFKing somewhere while we finish the generators.
On the other hand, when survivors leave, the match continues and the remaining players are forced to play with bots. Personally I don't want to play either with or against bots in a multiplayer game, and I don't know how anyone can claim "bots are good". What? They actively work against you instead of being useful. They follow you around like a lost puppy when injured. Even if you're on a generator, they'll spam crouch next to you to ask for heals instead of just joining you on the gen. They'll actively sacrifice team mates while they are in a chase. Their behavior infuriates me more than any rando ever could.1 -
I'd like to see it go in the opposite direction and revert the penalty system entirely back to where it was before. It's cruel and unusual as it is now. It makes an example of you. This game is very tilty and fatiguing, so it's going to happen. It's also incredibly unserious (no ranks, no stakes, just lost time and patience). Just totally inappropriate.

In regards to bots.
You can point at gens and the bots will do the gen.
Same with healing you can do the come emote and they will start healing you first if both you and bot are injured rather then begging for a heal first.

doesnt matter to me if the killer dc's. I do it sometimes, would be hypocritical of me to make fun of someone who doesnt want to play anymore when i'm guilty of the same thing. Sometimes the game just goes wrong and you just gotta admit defeat and check out early. Nothing wrong with that.

Which causes me to have to interrupt my actions to try to micromanage the bots.
So i could be on a gen, bot comes up to me and starts spam crouching next to me.
And with my luck, if I tried to get off the generator to emote, I'd probably get a skill check and blow up the gen.
Also from my experience doesn't always seem to work.
Even then, I would rather play a match with actual people instead of NPCs.0 -
I get great satisfaction out of killers DCing. Me laughing at them behind my screen is enough of a penalty. The match just ends, survivors get escapes, and that's a wrap.
Though I don't really care about DCs overall, it's different on survivor if you do it really early, because you could be prematurely screwing your teammates. I've had two matches recently where all three of my teammates DCed within 2 minutes. It wasn't a great feeling, being left alone with zero consideration, with killers who were still determined to kill me. As killer, you're just you, so I think those DCs are much less impactful.

See maybe one killer DC every 40 matches so its not that common and usually its even more matches in between. Some cases its clearly connection loss and sometimes its clear intentional DC.

Just pointing out that your post of four pictures of end screens does not invalidate what I stated. So don't know why you quoted me when you could have posted those just normally. Still none of those pictures prove those are intentional dc's either.

And looking at the points the Survivors got in those screenshots, they don't look like early game DC's either. Those look like the normal bloodpoint games from playing out a match. If it was early game, the Survivors would have little more than 7k bp.

For me it's more how they're handled. No catchup for Survivor + instantly failed Adept (which was an update they added, for whatever reason) is what makes it more harmful. Otherwise I couldn't care less.

Ok? DCs happen, yeah. No one said otherwise. I have a whole folder of these if you'd like me to dump them.

3 times DC in a row

Yeah that should be fixed. Hopefully we'll get some weak bots to fill the empty space one day. But I'll be a little sad because I'll have nothing to laugh at.

Again, OK? Nothing in the screenshots indicates time passage so they're just random screenshots. What is your point? That killers DC? We know. Someone simply stated their experience. I had two killers DC in a row yesterday, but for the most part, it's fairly rare.

Lately ive seen atleast 4 killers get force dc'd by the server itself as theyd be mid animation or carrying me to a hook and then 'poof' You Escaped!
Otherwise when playing killer id rather just stand in place and stare up at the sky or go around breaking walls/pallets/ kicking gens till its over rather than disconnecting.

You can just find another game? If a killer is out of their depth/doesn't want to get bullied and farmed/has to take care of their child/dog/flooding basement I don't think crucifing them is the best option. You get the bp you earned playing up till that point, just queue again. Sounds like you're just mad that a killer doesn't want to let you farm bp honestly.

True 😭

I had three matches in a row where the killer disconnected yesterday. I'm not blaming the player, it's the MMR. It's shockingly bad.

Im not OP but their is a huge double standard of if a killer gives up verses survivor in the community.
We could say every killer that complains about survivors who give up are just mad they cant bully lower skill survivors. why complain you get your bp after all.
The community seems to want to punish survivors more then they do killer which isn't fair, if its ok for one side to do it its ok for the other.
the comment before yours said they prefer to afk rather then disconnect, if someone said that in the context of survivor they would be crucified.-1
