Dead by Daylight Chapter Concept: The Sith Lord (Darth Vader)

This is a fan-made killer/chapter concept for Darth Vader in Dead by Daylight. I think Darth Vader would be one of the best licensed killers Dead by Daylight could ever add, not just because he is iconic, but because he genuinely fits the tone of the game.

Vader already has everything that makes a strong Dead by Daylight killer: an unmistakable silhouette, terrifying sound design, relentless presence, and a level of fear that begins before he is even seen. The breathing alone would make him feel like a threat in the Fog. His armor, mechanical movement, and sheer inevitability would make every chase feel tense in a way that naturally matches Dead by Daylight.

What makes this idea even stronger is the lore connection.

A great way to bring Darth Vader into Dead by Daylight would be through Lord Momin’s portal within Fortress Vader on Mustafar. Instead of feeling like a random crossover, the Entity’s black fog could begin leaking from the portal itself. Vader would believe he is dealing with another dark side phenomenon tied to Momin, but in reality the Entity has found a way into his world through the corruption left behind by that gateway.

The most important part is the lure.

The Entity would not need to control Vader directly. It could tempt him with the one thing he has never been able to let go of: Padmé. Through the fog and the portal, it could whisper the impossible promise that she can still be saved, restored, or brought back. That false hope would be enough to draw him in. This is what makes the concept feel so natural. Vader is not taken randomly, and he is not reduced to mind control. He is lured by grief, obsession, and the one wound that never healed.

That setup makes the chapter fit perfectly:

Power Concept:Vader should feel like a slow, oppressive killer rather than a simple fast attacker. His power would center around the overwhelming presence of the dark side, allowing him to pressure survivors in a way that feels relentless and intimidating.

One part of that power could be Force Choke, giving Vader the ability to briefly seize a survivor and interrupt them with raw power. That alone would make him feel dangerous up close, because survivors would never feel safe simply trying to slip by him or greed one more action.

The second part could be a lightsaber throw, giving him a powerful ranged option that punishes survivors trying to create distance or escape through open areas. That would make him threatening at more than one range without losing the heavy, unstoppable feeling that defines him.

Together, Force Choke and lightsaber throw would make Vader feel like a killer who is always applying pressure. He would not need to be fast to be terrifying. He would feel like a steady, inescapable presence that closes in, disrupts survivors, and punishes mistakes with overwhelming force.

Why he fits Dead by Daylight:He is not just popular. He is one of the few crossover characters who naturally feels like a horror villain. His breathing, armor, movement, and constant sense of inevitability match Dead by Daylight’s atmosphere extremely well. You would hear him before seeing him, and that alone would make him feel like one of the most memorable killers in the game.

Mori Idea:Vader lifts the survivor into the air with the Force, slowly choking them as they struggle helplessly, before ending the Mori with a clean lightsaber strike.

I know the license would be difficult, but as a dream chapter concept, Darth Vader feels like one of the most believable and exciting killers Dead by Daylight could ever add.
