Hillbilly chainsaw spam and power creep.

This one isn’t going to be popular with the killer mains who play him but this post is a long time coming. Billy should not be able to spam his chainsaw all game long considering how much smaller maps are getting, loops being more fair to manage as killer and pallet density has been nerfed with even some pallets being generally unsafe.

My suggestion to fix Billy and make him much for fair for survivors to go against him? Chainsaw charges like Leatherface to give Billy a proper cooldown to prevent killers from just spamming chainsaw all game long. Yes it is a nerf but a fair nerf. I like the idea of him keeping his overdrive mechanic the hotter it goes the faster you run and charge the chainsaw.

Look it’s not a matter of what “FEELS GOOD” or is BORING” it’s a matter of giving the survivors a chance without zero counter play when Billy can just immediately try again once he misses without getting a charge back. I am not at all survivor sided I’m just trying to be fair. It’s like Oni who has access to his power all game long in this current Billy meta.

I’m sure killer mains aren’t going to be happy with this one, but that’s my opinion.

Yes I do remember the overheat mechanic. It was implemented to prevent using constant power spamming. Though it was clearly unpopular, but I understand why they did it. His chainsaw back then and today is by definition power creep being able to use it non stop with no downside. That’s a problem… imagine having Oni’s demon dash all game long. Thats pretty much what Billy is essentially. Just maybe slightly harder to use.

It was met by high praise because most killer players nowadays only find things “enjoyable” if they’re clearly very strong and if it’s not their excuse it’s “boring”

I’m not asking for the overheat mechanic to come back, but chainsaw charges to tame the amount of times people just spam chainsaw everyone microsecond.

Excatly he is what "S-tier " should look like (meaning s-tiere here because if he would be strongest killer in the game ofcourse he would be in s-tier even if he would not be broken as nurse or prenerfed blight was). Billy requires lot of mechanicl skill and its not easy to curve, he has build in counter and its just hold crouch button, he must be very direct with his saw hit compare to many other killers. he is one of most map effected higher tier killers where his mobility is map dependent and windows counter him simulary as leather face but his speed is what makes him be able to play them, still bamboozle is needed perk lot of times.

There arent many addons used on him like lopro got nerfed and isnt worth it so his mains only use iri carborator for speed (same as bestmarks in its effect for his power which bubba mains use speed > charge time) plus boots for his turn rate not being so bad.

Billy is what high tier killer should look like be strong but hard at the same time and fair you cant just say he isnt fair because the skill player needs to be good with him and landing shot isnt small is one of highest in this game and he has plenty of counters.

    Oh yes cooldowns

    • Walking during the Chainsaw's Cool-down: 1.84 m/s

    Chainsaw Cool-downs:

    • Hitting Survivors: 2.7 seconds
    • Hitting obstacles: 2.5 seconds
    • Hitting nothing (miss): 2.7 seconds
    • Breaking Breakable Walls/Pallets1 second

So he makes 4,6 meters distance in 2,5 seconds or almost 5 meters in 2,7 seconds now give it to survivors base running speed which is 4m/s and thats 10 meters of distance when he bumps into something and 10,8 meters when he swings into nothing meaning he just cancels his chainsaw.

    Thats is huge distance indeed.

I never said that, haha. Point out where I said that please and thanks! Having a form of not completely spamming a killers power is a completely terrible implication, huh?
