questions on how to use twins
ive had twins for ages but never used her and now after years(lol) of owning her and not using her i decided to give her a try. I fully expected to get noob stomped but ive done ok so far. 2 3ks and a would be 3k but let one escape and another 2k and a 0k
Not bad for learning her on a blank slate.
What i am unsure of how to do so far is that i was under the impression is that victor gave the guy hes holding on to killers instinct but its only someone else who is near them?
I see victors aura for a few seconds but then it goes away so i dont know where victor/surv is. is this intended?
when using victor and latching on, if im on the other side of the map, it takes 5 minutes to prance on over there and by that time the moment of oppurtunity is gone.
while the damage potential of victor is good and fun, im not very clear on what i should do with charlottes side to actually synergize with victor on claiming kills

- Twins is a killer that can somewhat be in 2 places at once
- Victor can be planted as a detection device in an area while you are using charlotte (camping, generator/totem defence/ looking for survivors in an area etc)
- Victor can grab uninjured survivors, and slug multiple injured survivors making his potential at downing multiple survivors very high if you keep multiple survivors injured
- Victor almost cannot be dodged if he pounces at very close range
- When victor latches on it shows you long enough to get a general idea of where his target is going, but it can also be use as a means of just injuring people for free on 1 side of the map while charlotte chases someone on her side of the map
- If someone is looping charlotte in a main building for example, victor can also be placed in the main building for detection to tell charlotte what the survivor is doing through the walls. Though your more likely to just try to down them with victor in that case

Ideally you want to get the first hit with Charlotte and have Victor down them and work your way to everyone being injured and Victor getting a quick 3-4 man slug. If you do get the first hit with Victor the aura is there for a few seconds for you to predict the patching and cut them off with Charlotte. While the twins can operate independently you don't want them on opposite sides of the map most of the time. Keep Charlotte either in the middle of the map or on the same side as Victor in case you do need to act on a Victor grab. You can also block pallets and windows with Charlotte's body and then chase with Victor.
Also aiming tip with Victor his hands sort of make a crosshairs for you with his pointer fingers and thumbs. Keep the survivor in the center of those four points and you should always hit barring any collision nonsense from the map.

Adding to the good advice above, twins really benefits from anti healing builds. I believe victor has addons that add haemorrhage and/or mangled (not 100% sure, haven't played twins in a while and cba to check right now 🤣)
I quite like going for scourge hook builds, pain res and weeping wounds synergise well together.
Thing with twins is they can apply a lot of pressure, particularly via slugging, not a popular tactic but hey, twins kit encourages it. Even without slugging, if you down one surv and instantly latch another with victor (say when you catch someone healing for instance) you tie up half of the team for a time. One hooked and the other running off and trying to remove victor, then requiring a heal, probably from another survivor, leaving only one to try to unhook. Really slows the survs down.
Info perks work well too. Bbq is good for sending victor out after a hook so you can proxy camp it with charlotte, pressure a surv and instantly pressure hook when you get the notification. Discordance, gearhead both very useful for ambushing survs on gens with victor.

Thats some good tips, ill definitely be trying some of that out!

I'm no expert at Twins, but the biggest piece of advice I've heard is to really take advantage of the fact they can sort of be in two places at once.
Whether that's keeping Victor in hidden spots at one end of the map and patrolling the other side as Charlotte - taking advantage when you see survivors running towards his end to get free injuries and downs, or keeping either twin nearby while you're chasing a survivor and eventually sandwiching them between the two of you.
Also going into a custom game and practicing with Victor's pounce to see what can and can't hit over probably isn't a bad idea either.

A question I have is this: Sometimes as victor i see gen auras and other times i dont but i am not inflicted with blindness. what causes this? I do not see this listed in the power and it makes it difficult when im trying to move to a gen but i cant see the aura
editing: just completed a match and as victor i couldnt see gate switches and when i went back to charlotte i could see my totems but not the gates either. im assuming this is a bug?
