Nintendo Switch 2 version

This is quite disappointing, even smaller devs with less Switch player base are updating their games to a Switch 2 version. Could you guys at least consider the posibility of uncaping the framerate to 60 fps for Switch 2 users? Rocket League did something similar by allowing Switch 2 users to have better graphical assets without actually making a Switch 2 version. Or are we just not worth the effort?

In September, they said, "We're not currently planning a Switch 2 version."

In an IGN interview four weeks ago, when asked about a Switch 2 version, they said, "I'm not allowed to answer that." This means the version is now in development and will likely be announced at Nintendo Direct in June (or on the 10th anniversary).

The Switch 2 has DLSS 3.5, which is perfect for Dead by Daylight's Unreal Engine 5. Furthermore, the Switch 2 will surpass Xbox Series sales next year, so they can't ignore it. Don't believe what Mandy says, as if she can just randomly drop a new version on the forum—that's nonsense! 🤣

I pray for this to be true.

The Nintendo switch 2 is powerful & is out selling like crazy which I’m happy for.

Because it gives so much more opportunity to new developers & old.

Like Behaviour is majorly missing out on a big player base & a lot new/old players will upgrade too. When they make a paid Switch 2 version !

    “Free money Behaviour”

(Which has to be vastly optimised & major graphical overhaul, case in point Resident evil Requiem)

Meaning more money for Behaviour !

So Behaviour please wake up on this.

Yeah Mandy responses have been very lacklustre some days on the subject.

(Guess she could be told to hush)

I mean it’s nearly been a whole year since the Nintendo Switch 2 has been out.

(All other new platforms got it day one)

Like I hope they have been working hard on it for at least 7 months for Switch 2 version/paid upgrade.

I mean, they're releasing Star Wars Monopoly for the NS2 just a few days before the 10th anniversary. I'm pretty sure they only accepted this contract from Ubisoft to let developers learn DLSS. So we can be certain that the full port will begin after the anniversary.

Who's aggressively targeting the Japanese market in 2025 with a Tokyo event, Tokyo Ghoul, exclusive manga artist skins, and leaving Nintendo out of it? That doesn't make any sense.

So you can expect a release in 6 to 9 months, unless the anniversary event turns into a technical disaster for DBD, in which case you can expect a delay of several months.

We deserve an official update on the live anniversary stream about an Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD.

Even if it’s a paid upgrade/Game Key Card or Full Cartridge release many of us would happily pay for!

I'm also hoping for an upgrade for the Switch 2. It would be an amazing way to celebrate the anniversary.

Hopefully it’s long overdue at this point.

Fingers crossed we Nintendo Switch 2 players get to celebrate in style.

I don’t mind/ we the Nintendo DBD player base would happily pay for an Upgrade/Cart or Key Card !
For an Optimised/Graphical Overhaul version of DBD for Switch 2.

Even more so for the 10th anniversary!

    🎉

    I understand you & I feel similar.

DBD needs a massive Graphical Overhaul/ Performance updated version made for Nintendo Switch 2.

Be it a full cartridge, game key cartridge or paid upgrade path.

Loads of players would glady pay for this, Me included myself !

Furthermore this needs to happen Behaviour !

You can’t alienate a whole new platform nor the DBD Nintendo Community.

So let’s hope on 14th the 10 year Anniversary live stream,

We get an Overhauled Optimised Version of DBD for Nintendo Switch 2 announced & available straight after the Anniversary stream ends!

Still nothing at summer game fest today. How would Behaviour even manage to squeeze the new graphical overhaul with all the graphics improvements, new character models, lighting and all of that good stuff they're planing on a Switch 1 version of the game? Like that sounds like way more trouble than just making a Switch 2 version and brute-forcing it with the new hardware. This is getting ridiculous.

    Couldn’t agree more on this.

So from today it marks 1 year & one day that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been around.

    Now keep in mind Behaviour,

Yes you Behaviour I’m calling all the big developers/higher ups out !

Now is the time to act because honestly the alienating of an whole Brand New Platform being Nintendo Switch 2

(Which has been out for a year now, Hasn’t got an Optimised FPS/Performance & Massively Improved Graphical Overhaul that it deserves !)

Every other platform got day one patches,
Be from PS4 - PS5, Xbox Series, Stream, Epic, Any PC storefront had all day one optimised versions of Dead by Daylight.

On there first day of a console/platform launch!

Now the Nintendo Switch 2 been a year & still hasn’t!? It’s time to wake up Behaviour seriously. We your loyal Nintendo players/Fans new/old deserve equal treatment!

It's also pretty disappointing that they don't say anything about it. It makes you really angry that they don't Care at all. I'm seriously thinking about deleting the Game. I kept telling myself to just Hang in there until the new Switch came out. Well, it's been out for a year now, and there's absolutely nothing heppening with the Game. They Claim the Switch Community ist too small, which is why nothing ist being released. But why isn't ist as big as the communities on other Platforms? Maybe it's because the Game Looks like something from ten years ago. If I hadn't known dbd beforehand and someone showed it to me in the Switch, I wouldn't have bought it either simply because of the way it Looks.
