I thought it might be fun to share our newbie experiences when we just started playing the game. How we completely misunderstood something or did something the complete opposite way we'd do now.

Feel free to share your funniest newbie moment.

Mine was when I just started playing the game, and I got a key out of the bloodweb and I went into a match starting to already look for the hatch. Was looking for a solid 10 minutes then started working on generators as I couldn't find it. Later found out generators had to be fixed in order for it to spawn.

    I remember I was running fire up back in the day and I said "Wow! This is honestly a really good perk, you can really notice the difference!" I also played doctor and spammed shock everywhere even though that does nothing, I learned after a while

    I prestiged claudette twice cause teachable self care wouldn't show up. I realized later I somehow missed it.


    You can imagine how much of a grind that was.

    No bbq, no bp offerings, newbie me getting 15k bp per match. :(

    Ah I’ll share my first day playing when it released on console I was playing Dwight (Dwight main btw) so I was crouching everywhere and I’m like what are we supposed to be doing? All my teammates died lol I never touched a gen! Never saved anybody! I was literally walking around the map Lol

    First time I played I somehow managed to survive til the end. I was the last person remaining and saw (what I now know as) the hatch icon pop up. Had no clue what it meant until I looked it up online.

    This is only funny because it was a joke with me and my brothers. I didn’t know skillchecks had a warning so I always missed them so we had a running joke that I was the killer. XD

    I thought that if you got something out of the shrine it was in your perk slots already, not needing to get the perk in the bloodweb

    The first time I faced a Myers.

    A match before a friend told me that sometimes the killer can be friendly.

    I saw myers standing there and stalking me and I was like "hey, he doesn't attack. I think he is friendly"

    My friend: "He is stalking you to get stronger, run away!"

    Oh #########! Moment.

    And I also couldn't hit any skillcheck
