Lights Out is terrible balanced. Thanks for another survivor sided event

Survivors get:

Windows of Opportunity when holding a lantern

See nearest gen aura when holding a lantern

20% bonus repair speed on generators

Extended endurance off-hook

No scratchmarks in any scenario

Most pallet dense map in the game

Killers get:

No terror radius

Franklin's basekit (which is a buff for the Survivors because the light would actually allow the Killer to track the survivor instead of giving them just a free speedboost to disappear into nothing)

I don't expect to get my hand hold but why are like 90% of the "special" modes just "Survivors get 49201 things to help them even more then normally"

I know the Anniversary Events the last few years except this year were killer sided but common at least try to pretend to balance it so both sides have the same chance.

  • Like 20% gen speed why? Another change made by dev who barely touches the game and then endurence looks like 30 seconds or more which applyes in endgame which is beyond busted.

Again changes by devs that dont even play more then 3 hours per month are truly the luxury we can be glad to enjoy.

  • i don't care i just wanna let survivors experience the joy of Lights Out Xeno

  • To be fair, we're fresh off Chaos Shuffle which will basically always favour killer, so it clearly goes back and forth.

Lights Out also just isn't all that good, overall. It'd be much more interesting if it were JUST a no-loadout, stripped back UI mode without the darkness filter.

  • Bruh…did you actually try the previous lights out? miserable as surv, nobody wanted to touch it for a reason

  • And still no sane survivors even thinks about playing the game mode. Ask yourself why.

  • Lights Out is terrible for both sides. I strongly disliked it the one time played it and will never touch it again.

  • Can't even use cakes. At least slap a big fat 5x BP multiplier on this thing.

Light's Out was one of my favorite game modes to play. They've butchered it so much it's just straight up terrible now. Leave it to BHVR to completely ruin something.

It's called LIGHTS OUT not Lights On!

It's a different game mode and it's meant to be… different. Not "a bit darker and I can 4k anyway". When killers are playing the role of a creepy in-the-dark killer, hiding behind things and grabbing survivors, it's fun. A BP multiplier would be good, though.

Lights out has proved to me one thing though - Jason can win with no perks and his eyes closed, easily.

  • My issue with this gamemode is that you must camp the gens if you want the W. I think the fun part is chasing the survivors relying only in your eyes and ears, but with that dumb repair boost you get gens done mid chase
