Don't listen to Crujoh.
Totems are extremely hard to cleanse and gives the killer TONS of time to find survivors while they're out not doing gens.
It's better to focus on gens and hope the killers aren't running NoED.
Most killers probably aren't since survivors dislike the perk and often hurt the feelings of killers who run it in the end game chat.
tldr: Don't bother cleansing totems because it's too hard.

How hard is it? There are 5 fkn get them. Most killers are panty bunched and running noed. Do the fkng totems people!!!

Detective's Hunch and Small Game as well a map helps when you suck at finding totems.
And yes NOED punishes genrushing, buts it's a gamble like with every hex perk.

I was a little triggered when I posted this after my 3rd time in a row dying due to noed. The next match I made sure all 5 totems were cleansed. Yup I did all 5!
but spacecoconut does bring up a good point. Main focus should be gens, but if a damn totems visible, GET IT NEXT!!

NOED punishes GenRushing but people do not care and want it nerfed because they "Don't want to cleanse totems"

I wish Hex perks had a distance spawning from objectives like chests and generators, I have had totems that are at the most 8 meters away from a gen, literally right next to it in a barrel, another thing I believe should become of hex totems is they only spawn when active, like Hex: Devour Hope, it should only light up when you get your first stack.

How to counter NOED if you don't cleanse all the totems : leave through the exits or cleanse the hex totem

I don’t mind the extra objective in fact I wouldn’t mind more objectives added to the game. What irritates me is being on a survivor team where lately majority of them aren’t doing any totems.
