Greetings everyone! I figured that it's high time we all started stockpiling all of the survivor wisdom we can into one great big thread so that when new players eventually check the forums they'll have a plethora of tips and tricks waiting for them.

To start things off with a bang, here's a link to Pain Reliever's survivor tips playlist.

So come on folks, show me what you got for survivor tips, tricks, and tutorials in general.

Look for metal boxes with blinking lights on them scattered around the map and hold down m1 next to them to get points

I LOVE painreliever, this dude's video on killers helped me a bunch and for survivor his "8 ways to make space during a chase" vid was exactly what I needed to start going above my current rank as survivor. Only because I never used to think of making space, I only used to think of looping then hiding in hopes they lose me it and wasn't enough sometimes. But now that the general understanding of "making space" is engraved in my mind I just combine that with everything else I learn and stuff's been so good. I ruined a legion's 3 v 1 game (Ended the game by doing one of 2 close gens he was gaurding after tons of chases with me from the start and then rescued his 2 almost kills he had been slugging and guarding by one of the gens and they escaped then I grabbed the hatch while he was camping the exit gate open in desperation) the other day just by no longer thinking escape is only possible through looping and hiding when possible.

if a survivor is on the hook and you get chased, move directly OPPOSITE the hook, making the killer work a little harder for their kills can be the difference between escapes or deaths for multiple survivors.

On the same note, if you get downed near a hooked survivor, crawl away and preferably out of the line of sight of the killer, otherwise it's a free camp and you wont be able to fault the killer for doing so.

Try to maximize pallet usage, the game can get considerably harder once there's few pallets, especially if the killer has an -endgame build. Turn corners as tight as you can and use priority pallets around loopable locations (killer shack) as a last resort.

Also, don't go back for ur teammates if they're hooked and being facecamped. Do gens and leave.

Update, this awesome guy PR I learned some tips from DC'd against me yesterday. I dunno why but he had bond/spinechill/balanced and some crap and I think its cause of havng crap teammates from matchmaking but seriously I'm tired of YTers and streamers DCing, it makes it seem ok to their following. But hey, at least that means his tutorials work! 3 people dc'd 1 killd themself.

@Kurisataru Well it might have been a forced DC. If the DC was accompanied with a sound then your anger is warranted. Though if the DC was silent then you're being angry at him for a network issue.
