Can we draw a line in the sand?
It has been days since the curtain call certification for PS4 has been sent out to Sony and has yet to be accepted. Yes, it is acceptable for us all to be mad whether you want new promised content or your pockets are filled with shards we all have our fair share words to say at the devs but it isn't their fault. We want to put the blame on them but it isn't their fault. The devs has sent their certification to sony for the patch and have yet to get an answer not because the update will break PSN but because sony has yet to answer back. Whether the update gets accepted is completely out of BHVR's hands. Sure updates don't take this long for other games because most other games that have gigabytes worth of updates are triple A titles and they of course don't take as long to be accepted because well they are big companys. And why would sony care about a small indie title that takes up more space on servers due to the 4+ gigabyte 2.0.0 patch. So in conclusion it isn't BHVR's fault you aren't going to get compensated for the time you have had with filled shards (you aren't the only ones who want to use the shrine.) So stop blaming BHVR as this situation is completelyout of their control I mean come on this is sony we are talking about...They blocked cross-platform play for Fortnite the bastards.

Only reason patch could take this long is if it got rejected due to terrible bugs or performance, probably twice at this rate. And BHVR is much bigger than you appear to think.

Nice pitch to be BHVR's new PR person but, i still blame them and you can't convenience me that it isn't their fault.

I mean F13 had no problem getting through a whole new engine upgrade on PS4 and certfication was done in under 2 weeks. (6GB)

I just think it’s at least partially their fault. This happened during lullaby chapter, with patches being rejected due to FPS being tanked. If they are literally unable to produce one good not buggy patch, revise the freakin code already. It’s already known they use code that’s almost as simple as spaghetti code. That’s why bugs happen in unrelated stupid spots.
No properly coded game should have left behind trigger alwaysveven with all people alive, from altering a sound glitch. How the hell do you manage that

How is it out of BHVRs hands whether the patch gets certified or not? They have Sony's certification guidelines, they know what they have to do to get certified. It's not like Sony keeps things a secret and springs surprise rejections on companies. This is entirely in BHVRs lap.Yes but I was making made the paragraph under the impression that after how long the certificate was out for that the bugs and glitches would have clearly been fixed by now given for how long it has already been out. And if it is clear of bugs it is out of their hands past that point.

Thats the thing is they fixed the bugs for Xbox you would think that they would have already fixed the bugs for PS4 also and if thats true then yes it is completely on Sony whether or not they accept the certification.

Well to be honest if the Xbox certification failed due to bugs then you think they would have also went back into the PS4 update to rework any of the same bugs and glitches found.

Sony’s limit is 10 days, it’s failed cert, most likely TWICE. All because they refused doesn’t mean it’s their fault. Say someone wants a product. You produce a highly defective product, and they refuse it. It’s not really their fault. Yeah it was a chance a the product, but again, it was flawed, broken, and not what it was supposed to be.

Why would you assume that the bug affecting DbDs interaction with PSN an XBL would be the same?
You realise the certification process is to prevent the game negatively from affecting PSN and XBL right??? They can't allow an update that will crash PSN. How is it Sonys "fault" that they didn't allow that to happen?

I'm not blaming them for blocking the certification if it had bugs but it has been a long time since then so if there where bugs within the files of the patch they most likely would have been fixed by now and if they are fixed all we can do is wait until sony does eventually accept the certification.

They can't accept something that can't pass cert... It's all on BHVR that they can't submit decent code. Who knows how many times it has failed at this point or when they will submit passable code. Quite possibly the worst certification attempt I can remember seeing in a decade or so.

I don't get how waiting a few days can make you guys so mad to be honest. I understand it can be a slight annoyance, but... It's ######### BHVR ? We waited 1 year and a half to get the sound fixed, waited more than 1 year to get scratchmarks midly fixed, waited more than 1 year for the vacuum to go, waited more than 8 months at release to get infinites to halfly-get away, amongst other stuff.
Yet, you guys still act surprised and stuff about "having to wait".
It's just their policy at this point, they're not in a hurry, will never be, no matter how people complain. It has always been the case, and always will. When you ask them, they just say "it's an on-going process", even tho they could tweak their games in a matter of weeks rather than years for obvious reasons, since most fixes only requires a few changes on numbers rather than on the core scripts, and everyone knows that.
On top of that, I'll just add that some devs just said that the game would be very different if they were the ones taking the decisions (especially when it comes to ranking, rewards, competitiveness and such), but the decisions are taken "way above their paycheck".
BHVR is a full marketing company, that is going for the most cost effective situation : low efforts, high rewards. People being "midly happy but still sticking around" is the way marketing works. That's even how most ISP do work. They do not want people to be "truly happy with the service", they want people to be "just happy enough so they don't leave, and they don't have to pay an extra cost".
(Btw, if you ever get a survey from your ISP, always answer you're rather unhappy, or they may slightly restrict your lines over the time for you to be "too happy about your service", it has been happening too much time to count.)2 -

The main thing I can say is this thing, as a longtime dbd player :
Play the game casually, and don't expect things. If you do start the game with expectations, you're playing the wrong game, because it's never ever gonna meet decent standarts and you'd better consider actual polished game, such as :
Cuphead
Darkest Dungeon
Monster Hunter WorldTo name a few.

They do not want people to be "truly happy with the service", they want people to be "just happy enough so they don't leave, and they don't have to pay an extra cost".
(Btw, if you ever get a survey from your ISP, always answer you're rather unhappy, or they may slightly restrict your lines over the time for you to be "too happy about your service", it has been happening too much time to count.)0 -
If the initial patch to PS4 (sony) was buggy would you be happy with it coming to console or would you just like to wait til a less buggy version came out? Me personally i'd rather wait til the least buggiest version, I mean i'd downright wait for the most recent release than play a broken game.

Seems like everytime TBH. But hey ho. Not a thing we can do about it.We all got screwed at some point. It's not like they're known to be a reliable (or even a great ?) company tbh.

We are talking about the same console that blocked fortnight accounts.....
Such a shame - I was a rabid Sony Fanboy years ago. How far they've fallen lately.
I won't sully my house with another Playstation until they get off this cross-play high-horse.

I mean F13 had no problem getting through a whole new engine upgrade on PS4 and certfication was done in under 2 weeks. (6GB)I'm so sad they've stopped developing DLC now for F13 because of the court case between the director and writer of the original film
(not related to the topic at hand but the mention of F13 made me think of this)

So in conclusion it isn't BHVR's fault you aren't going to get compensated for the time you have had with filled shards (you aren't the only ones who want to use the shrine.) So stop blaming BHVR as this situation is completelyout of their control I mean come on this is sony we are talking about...They blocked cross-platform play for Fortnite the bastards.Nice block of text.
Try using the enter key if you want someone to actually read that eyerape.
