Make Deafened a Status Effect

There is only an example of Deafened mechanic, the Disfigured Ear of the Hag. I'd like to see more instances of Deafened, linked to killers' powers or add-ons: the acoustic disorientation, the inability to distinguish the nature and the origin of the sounds, could have great potential in the game. Do you agree?

    The problem with the Deafened status is that, along with Hemorrhage, is quite useless. Following what Disfigured Ear does, it slightly muffles sounds. In order for them to fully implement it, it needs to be more powerful. I would love if, while deafened, all sounds (including TR) are completely muted, the only exception being your own footsteps.

    I do love the idea anyway.

    @PigNRun There could be various degrees of Deafened, like Madness: first an acoustic disorientation, then selective deafness (killer's footsteps and terror radius), then total deafness (all the game sounds are replaced by a background melody, to avoid making the game boring to the player).


    Hemorrhage is useful in closed maps or with some perks or add-ons.

    Cannot hear skillchecks because of her scream...

    Maybe she can rise in the air and have a better vision on crouching survivors... maybe I think this one through and will make a post :)
