I'm ok with Endgame Collapse

if survivors get a slight hatch buff where as soon as the 3rd dead survivor dies the hatch opens instantly without the long ass animation. I've had this happen way too many times either leading to a hatch standoff or death, because all this will do is give killers and instant win if they can run back to the hatch during the animation and just close it then camp the exit gates for 3 minutes.

I expect you will be disappointed then. Which is unfortunate because I think they did a fantastic job with the endgame collapse. It's fair to everyone. In truth the hatch has always opened as soon as the second to last survivor dies. The delay, if any, is really short but most players don't seem to realize the the survivor isn't truly dead until the animation is finished.

Think about it. When you get sacrificed, the screen doesn't fade to black and send you to the post game results until the entity carries your remains off into the sky. You typically hear the sound of the hook falling even. Until you are in the post game screen, you are still "in game".

I would actually like to do a test now that I think about it to have a KYF match where the survivors finish all the gens and the killer and survivor locate the hatch together. Then the killer does a mori to the second to last survivor in view of the hatch to see exactly how long after the animation is finished before the hatch opens.

The animation lasts longer than 3 people on a generator... you could do a totem with thrill of the hunt active with time to spare. I've had killers literally cross the map in the time that animation takes, I've had a wraith chase me, uncloak, and hit me twice before that animation finished.

If the killer has found the hatch, remembers where it was and can make it to the hatch before the end of the animation, then they should get that win.

As a survivor, what I do in this situation is I hide next to the hatch as apposed to standing on top of it letting the killer know im there. I would talk about how I try to trick the killer into leaving the hatch for standoffs but this will be gone soon.

It is fair, but proposing a survivor buff on these forums is like shouting "I AM A THIEF" in a police station

Seven seconds. The time is exactly seven seconds, from when the survivor hits the hook, until the hatch opens up. That's not even enough time to finish a totem WITHOUT Thrill of the Hunt active. Please at least do some research before you make yourself look like an idiot. @akbays35

@Dreamnomad The hatch opens as soon as the mori animation is over. Because the survivor is kicked from the game as soon as the mori animation is over.

exactly, it's the longest animation time ever for anything in this game and I think it only serves the purpose for hatch delay and to waste survivor time getting out of lobby.

It's only half the length of the Clown's mori. So you're wrong again, it's NOT the longest animation for anything. Hatch opens when all but one person is OUT OF THE GAME. That's not going to change. Don't like it, get a key?
