How to see in the corn (Coldwind)? Any tips?

Title. I usually have a VERY hard time playing on cold wind farm when I'm nurse, or huntress. I lose sight of the survivors very easily there. Any tips?

Not much you can really do except look for movement in the corn or trough the tiny gaps in hopes of seeing the survivor, that or scratch marks.

Corn is awful to deal with I wish they'd make it more sparse so you don't have a screen full of corn half the match.

low settings helps with vision because of brighter picture and brighter scratch marks

Yee... like what the others say.. use LOW settings. I strafe around in the corn so if they start turning left or right I can keep them infront of me... Also lining yourself to the rows of corn helps too rather than running against the grain. I like to try and move the survivor around to where I want them to go in the corn.

And keep an eye on the blood... Being able to track the blood is a huge help, cause i find the blood easier to follow when the scratch marks start criss crossing everywhere.

Align you camera with corn rows and move diagonally with WASD, this way you minimize the impact of corn on your fov.

Follow the shaking corn movement, not the survivors themselves.

Outside the chase, search parallel to the cornrows, not perpendicular to see through them. So you look through them this way "I I I" instead of this way "---"

If you're in console, and relatively a new player, I've noticed that the recent downgrade in graphics in favor of better framerate has made looking through corn even harder than before. Hopefully they can address this issue with the optimization patches they've promised.

If you're not in console, or a new player, ignore my comment :)

Idk. The Cornfield is pretty bad. I usually can still chase the survivor through it, but it's still very difficult to see.

If I'm on a corn map, I absolutely HAVE to play with the graphics settings on low. It's a million times easier to see through the corn with low graphics.

I usually stop for just a second and note the movement of the corn / survivor. Its much harder to notice movement when you are also moving.

    • Look for shaking stalks.
    • Follow bloodstains or scratch marks if necessary
    • Run parallel with the rows, not against them
    • Use hills or combine tractors to peek above them
    • Learn to follow with sounds. If you're not already playing with a headset, it's a good investment to make.

Color recognition. It's just like finding Claudettes on the old MacMillan. Remember the shades of color, and their shape against whatever you're looking at.

Also, the game has a tendency to just up and start the chase music if you happened to move in someone's general direction.
