Will The End Game Collapse Make The Pig/Amanda High Tier?
Hello everyone. I want to play a game with you. Is called the End Game.
Now for those who've been sleeping under a rock, there is a new End Game change that will make all survivors have only a 3 minute timer to escape the game. If you fail to escape in the 3 minutes, you're automatically sacrificed.
Now like I said in a previous discussion, I only got good things to say about this update, but one thing was brought to my attention when this update was introduce, Pig/Amanda.
Now for those unfamiliar with the killer. The Pig/Amanda is one of the licensed killers in Dead By Daylight from The Saw Chapter. She's a sleathly killer who can in most cases get the first surprise hit on a survivor, and when she downs them, she has the option to put a reverse bear trap on a survivor. Forcing them to search for boxes to take it off, otherwise they'll die and be counted as a sacrifice. Sound familiar?
The new Endgame does the same thing in a way. It forces the survivors to leave otherwise they'll die.
So what would happen if we were to put the Pig putting bear traps on all survivors in the end Game? Then it turns to another objective the survivors have to do before getting out of the game, prolonging the game much longer, and forcing survivors to try and be lucky and search boxes.
End Game Pig (NOED, Bitter Murmur, Remember Me, and Blood Warden) will become much more powerfull with this introduction of the end game. Literally making The Pig the most powerful killer on the very end of the game. If she uses her traps on the end of the game that is.
Combine this with add ons that shorten the death timer, and the add on to force them to take longer to search for boxes, and everyone (unless they're lucky) will be lining up for sacrifice.
Now the End Game does last for 3 minutes, and of corse this is base off the assumption that Pig gets everyone with a bear trap, the potential is still there. I wouldn't be surprise if people started playing Pig/Amanda like this on the higher ranks using this tactic. This new End Game, might actually increase her viability from the straight up middle tier she is currently to a high mid tier due to this one yet very powerful potential for the End Game.
So I guess you can say, "The End Game has begun, and I can't wait to play this game with you. You'll be surprise the tools you can use to save a life. Pick your path, make your choice."

Seems like Pig will be getting a change.

A little sad, but you know what I think is fair. Pig is already a beast in the end game. This change would just make hell for survivors.
0 -
Wait, what, why?!
There is not a single reason to touch the pig.Not. A. Singe. One. She is already low-tier-ish, and the new endgame collapse would finally bring some strength to her.
Seriously, why am I not surprised that the devs want to nerf low-tier killers even more. Mettle of Man already nerfed M1 killers big enough.

@ABannedCat Just nerf every killer until only Billy and Nurse exist.
Who needs variety when you have top tier?
1 -
They sure hate variety.

I think closing the Hatch is a potential reason to want to at least take a look at RBTs.
1 -
Omg here we go again.. more nerfs.
1 -
not necessarily.
rework can also mean "buff" or simply a rework of how the power works with no balance changes.
like the wraith rework, or the spirit rework.
1 -
Well i hope it doesn't change her very much. I didn't like the augmented terror radius change they did, it ruined the fun with M&A.

This is why killers are weak.
1 -
And like the ''update'' for a Legion, huh?
1 -
Sorry but more often than not update means a nerf for killers. And remember that potentional buffs must have nerfs to compensate.
Gawd am i salty this week.
0 -
Pretty much. It doesn't matter what update comes, a nerf for killers will always compensate just so they stand no chance against survivors.

Yep

He uses the word "logical".
My guess is that Pig won't be able to trigger end game collapse herself if there is an active RBT. Either survivors have to do it or the trapped guy needs to die/remove the trap.
0 -
"Logical change" You mean buffing her to be viable when compared with half the killers in the game?
0 -
So much for end game pig

Can we please wait until they announce what the change is to complain about it? I'm ready to complain if I think the change is bad, but I'm not gonna do so preemptively.
1 -
I am not surprised. It makes sense.

Fair enough

Ok, If she is gonna be nerfed, you buy me a beer :D
0 -
Amanda was never Low-Tier, and the Endgame Collapse would've broken her. Changes had to be made
0 -
Better get used to it now, people aren't going to stop complaining about legions changes until the PTB
0 -
Legion deserves that nerf :)
They were bs all the time. BY using exploits. So why not?
0 -
No, because I don't feel like placing a wager on something neither of us have knowledge of.
0 -
This would make the end game fun and a lot more intense. They don't need to nerf it really, that would mean that she has to watch the gates and puzzle boxes. It will be fun.
0 -
Normally, I would agree with you, but knowing the developers of Dbd, they WILL ######### her up beyond rocognition. Better prepare yourself sooner than later.
0 -
I don't see the point. We can speculate and doomsay all we like, but we won't know until we find out.
0 -
That's the point. At least let us have fun with how broken it is.
0 -
That wouldn't help much for the last Survivor, if at all. As long as the Pig can shut the Hatch and defend the boxes, the last Survivor is as good as dead if they've got a trap on unless they're very lucky.
0 -
We’re not even sure that pigs even getting a nerf, for all we know she could be getting a buff
0 -
-When the Pig closes the Hatch, all Reverse Bear Traps immediately trigger and kill the Survivors wearing them.
1 -
If they nerf my piggy I'm gonna be pissed.
