Jes saving friends especially on the basement without SC while your injured.
Believe me or not but how i was saying: Medkits like the Purple + the add-ons you mentioned.
So what if the Killer runs Franklins? What if the killer hitted you multiple times because you want the iridescent Emblem or because you want his attention at you and not on your Mates because they doing something efficient Things? Or you just have a bad Day and the Killer keeps finding you?
And how about you cant always have a purple Medikit + addons or how about you want to plug in toolboxes or anything else which is more efficient? Believe me or not but Medikits doesnt live enough for multiple cares. You cant always have a purple Medikit or Medkit itself especially when you say you dont run SC and you bring instead of it a Medkit?
You have to repair 4 Gens + obsessed totem + exit gate to have iridescent emblem on the Repairing skill one. Idk if its bugged or on purpose. Saving friend jes and when they are on Basement or the killer is patroulling. and you dont have SC ? your just pretty fked both. Not very efficient on a SWF Team or Solo.
And of how your friend was mention about the Claudettes perk seeing others injured Aura and healing them: It takes even more time than SC does, trust me. You have to find a save spot with your buddy running this Perk.
At its current state. Lol nobody complained about this Perk itself. I just think its better when its a ability. Thats the thread for its not about a Nerf or Buff.

Ye, and like I already said, you can run self care if you want, but if you dont think it's worth it then you dont bring it. As for Franklin's and the other stuff you mentioned, learn to play around it, not every match can go your way, adapt to the killers perks and playstyle similarly to how killers adapt to survivors perks and playstyle, the side that adapts the most wins. Also, I think it takes less time to get healed by a mate, because you know exactly where they are with the perk so you dont have to waste time finding them and healing is already faster when being healed by a mate then with self care

You have to find first a secured place and your teammate can't always follow you like a dog. Your teammate see you when your not chased but doesn't mean the Killer is not searching for you etc. And your buddy nees to go of gen if hes on it, i guess so because yo group telling your ultra gen rushers n #########.

If you run self care you can heal yourself after a hit and successful escape without searching for another survivor and take them off the gen. It's more efficient in gen repair/genrushing.
If the perk would not exist survivors waste time finding each other and heal, preferably not in the open or next to a gen or the killer get a easy two for when they patrol the gens.
One survivor SC while 3 survivors can potentially do gens vs 2 healing and 2 doing gens.
If 1 SC and another loop the killer, 2 gens can be done vs one gen can be done.
1 hooked, one SC, one rescue and one on a gen vs no one on gens.
Yes SC takes longer, but still you can get so much more gen pressure and combined with MoM you can 99%, take a hit, complete the heal and take 2 more hits until down. Like a item independent instaheal.
Either I am totally playing and understanding the game wrong or you missed something.

Self Care is NOT a good perk. Just run adrenaline and work on a generator.

If you'd rather have that slot free for something else, just don't use sc. I stopped running it and it improved my gameplay to the point I find it useless except for a fast wakeup vs Freddy.

Unpopular opinion: Self-Care is overrated and not as useful as people think. I'd rather run adrenaline and I do. Even Bond would be better as you gain general knowledge where your teammates are located and you can approach them to heal you.

I don't use Self care. It makes you inefficient and you waste a ridiculous amount of time healing. It's better to injured genrush the killer. Even if it was base, I'd never touch it.

Some time ago i read about bulid in ruin as base kit for killer in that case if you want sc as base kit i want ruin as base kit.

This is the worst idea I have EVER heard, if this became a thing, killers would be forced to chase a survivor down until they downed them or resolve to never get them on a hook.

The new “self care is bad cuz you arent doing gens” idea that I’ve seen pushed on here and reddit is silly. It’s not the best perk and obviously you shouldn’t blindly selfcare regardless of circumstance but the ability to heal on your own without an item is extremely useful and it’s def toptier.

I get the thought but honestly they aren’t comparable. Self care has great uses but likewise can waste a ton of time or just not be important because of the situation. Ruin is always great and never has a downside or cost outside of the risk of it being cleared.

So it does have a downside and cost. Ruin is only active as long as the survivors say it is, and then you're left without a perk for the rest of the trial. Self Care is permanently active and can't be taken away from you unless you're playing against the Plague and willingly get yourself Broken.

I’m speaking about the use of it. Self Care requires thought to be used safely (am I concealed/away from Nurse’s) and optimally (is healing smart rn). Ruin is passive and always good so I’m saying comparing free SC to a free Ruin isn’t fair. It’d be more fair to say “if all Survivors got Adrenaline for free, all Killers should get ruin for free.”

SC is worth for good loopers. It actually takes very little juke time to make healing worth, to which SC still is the most efficient way. A good looper can carry games with one health state, beeing injured limits your playstyle.
But please, go down 5s in the chase and let me snowball. Who needs healing right

No. Self care is already incredibly selfish and makes survivors waste time healing themselves when a team mate could do it faster. Its meant to be a perk. A base ability would be so boring to play with and against

Only if it's like the level 1 version of it, and even then it would be pretty broken and would make being healed by others useless since self caring is more optimal since it means others can still do gens and not waste time on healing.

Did you read your post? You said a good looper could last out in one health state and then said “but sure go down in 5 seconds”.

When I do play survivor, I rarely run SC anymore . Easier to find an ally or med kit. I run BK without SC if I'm going with a rescue build.
SC nerf a while back made it not worth it. Rather work a gen then spend a minute or so healing. So many killers running Sloppy and NC, just not worth it.

Most survivors are not good loopers.
See it this way, the reason why repairing gens injured can work, is because a good looper is occupying the killers time, so everyone can do gens even if they are injured.
If everyone is injured though, no one can loop to their full potential and the killer ends chases quickly, forcing you off gens or can quickly catch injured people at gens. This yolo genrushing is not very smart, unless the game is about to end or you really cant last in a chase whatsoever.
If you dont go down, everyone else can do gens. If every survivors does this, the survivors win.

Tbh if you’re going to play the way I do then you need spine chill. I’m pretty decent at looping so staying wounded doesn’t hurt me too much, but you’re right. Most survivors aren’t good loopers.
