An idea for side objectives

More about how they could work...

The idea is to mainly effect SWF.... since solo isn't really a problem (yes there's badass solo survivors out there but 95% of the community knows SWF is what needs to be hit with the nerf hammer as hard as bhvr hit freddy 2 days after he dropped)

The idea: when there is a SWF in the match some additional objectives will be added in that must be completed before all gens can be completed.... the amount of additional objectives will vary from the amount of SWF.... so a group of 2 and 3 will have less than 4....

Objective ideas: this is where things get tricky... obviously the best way to do this is have different objectives for each realm (farm objectives being different from auto havens etc...) this would keep them as fresh as long as possible because obviously hunting around for gas cans will peak and go into bore kinda fast...... unless bhvr finds a unique way of doing it which bhvr can do things outstanding there is no denying this..


This is mainly the idea of how they could work... because if bhvr goes ahead and throws in objectives they could hinder solo quite a bit... now if they only exist when SWF is present solo may be okay....... maybe

    I've said this before and so I will say it again.

    Someone who want's to play in SWF will also know this exists, since this game isn't huge it is fairly simple to simply join and leave lobby's simultaneously until all 4 people in the SWF group are "Solos" especially if they are a similar rank.

    Thus directly punishing people for playing SWF is not viable. Not to mention it throws off the gameplay loop as a whole.

    This is why they NEED to go about this by buffing solo's instead. Since unlike nerfing SWF, buffing solo's is actually possible since some forms of information are useless to SWF due to VC making it redundant but critical to solo's who don't HAVE VC.

    Turn every skill check into tournament level sudoku puzzles. Solving in 2 minutes is a great skill check. Solving in 10 minutes is good skill check. After 10 minutes it's an automatic failure.

    This will buff ruin as well

    BHVR needs to either add comms to every game and balance accordingly or make a separate game mode for SWFs that has some incentive (bonus bp) for the killer to face them and a buff like an extra perk or two or added objectives for the survivors. As of rn, trying to balance between SWFs and solos is the root of most tension and inbalance imo.
