What is the intended way to play the killer?
Devs say that the new legion and pig are the intended way to play the game by this is too limited. You play with one maybe two ways and that it no matter who much you love your killer you only have 2 way to play him/her. At the same time, the emblem system forcing you to play a more "fun" way in order to consider a good killer ( i know the same problem have the survivors too ) and even if you play this way you may not have fun as the killer. So i ask you and the Devs what is the intended way to play is to play the way we want and have fun or play base same rules?

Anyway you want honestly.
I've face camped.
I've tunneled.
I've gen jockied.
I've done all of it.
I've done none if it.
There is no correct way, and each killer had different advantageous strategies.

They said in the QnA that they want Legion to run around tagging multiple Survivors, but they are too scared to give Feral Frenzy the necessary speed and duration to make that viable.
I've been playing double Duration add-ons on the PTB and Survivors are still simply outrunning FF if they have any kind of headstart. Then you can't use FF for ages afterward because you need a full charge and there are about 100 different way to lose the charge without even using FF.

I wasn't aware that was the way Frenzy was intended to be used until I saw that stream the other day...and there lies the issue with Feral Frenzy. If I'm using this power to go after a survivor I've found, why would I hit them once and let them get away in order to go find someone else, who could frankly be on the other side of the map for all we know? The power seems to serve a purpose, but only in the off chance that you happen to find yourself surrounded by a group of survivors, which is almost never, at least in my experience.

Collectivly there's no correct way to play killer, You can slug, camp tunnel all you want.
When they mentioned legion and pig I think they meant how these certain killers are meant to be played.
For Pig they want you to use traps while generators are still up, the traps are meant to slow the game down a little, not actually be used to get kills.
Legion is another story, they designed him and want him to be a killer who spreads out damage to multiple survivors. But his powers and how they work most of the time don't allow him to do this putting frenzy on a timer and giving the survivors location information to only be in his terror radius makes it so most of the time it's detrimental to leave a target. This is what made the previous version of legion so annoying, he would just keep attacking the one survivor till they went down, This is still a problem with the new legion but now they've limited his capabilities in doing that giving more room for counter play. It still wont be viable to keep switching targets especially when survivors could just spread out knowing it's legion and counter that whole playstyle.
The Problem with this way of thinking from the devs is they limit a killer's potental by forcing them to a playstyle. Pig was good because she had the option of when to use her traps and could be played different ways but after the changes she can now only be played how they want her to, Legion is still and will never be what they want them to be.

Let survivors loop you for atleast 5 minutes otherwise you are a toxic cheating tryhard also dont play Nurse,spirit,huntress because survivors cant loop these killers safely. Legion is not a problem anymore since he is an m1 killer. You can play legion

One thing I never understood about the Legions FF, so you run around the map and put everyone in deepwound. Congratulation, what now? By the time you tag the last survivor you almost can start with the first survivor again...so you just run around and tickle the survivors until they manage to finish the gens, open a gate and tbag at the exit?

@Cymer Ideally the survivors will have to mend and heal which should take up a lot of their time while you chase the last survivor you tagged. Only really works if the survivors are grouped up. Just like against the Plague survivors don't tend to heal and just work on gens.

The thing with the pig really just annoys me simply because it goes against everything they've stated before.
They stayed they want to see unique and fun takes on play style and endgame piggy was probably one of the most viable and strong to let the pig tool
While her slow down abilities are good them being based on rng and limited to 4 severely crippled its ability to be a full main game tool.
It's while my personal. All of the add-ons Dad give status effects to people who are wearing the bear traps are pretty crappy.
Are there essentially saying screw other potential place tales of the killer we want you to play this killer one way and we will NERF the other methods to the ground if you don't play it the way we want it

i am a real killer main, and DEFINITELY not two survivors in a trench coat. In order to play like a real killer main, you need to nod at survivors and let them do gens. Dont forget to help them farm BP via WGLF too. remember, wait 10s before the next hit so that the safe unhook goes off.

To kill. Get as much kills as you can no matter how.
As survivor : either allow more escapes as you can or do anything to let yourself escape

Honestly, if they want pig to use traps during the early phase and not the end game, they should let you apply traps with ambush.

As far as I can tell, the devs have created two killer categories.
One is intended to be played by people who play the killer role to actually kill; let's call this category "killers".
The other is intended to be played by people who just want to goof around; let's call this category "non-threats".
Killers are intended to be played just as the name implies - they're efficient death machines. Non-threats are intended to be played to provide the illusion of danger, without any real consequences for the survivors, unless the survivors are complete potatoes.

@Peanits can we get a statement from the devs what is their optimal vision of the way a killer should behave and act inside the game?
I know, you cannot force someone to play like the devs wish for and we know things like 360 was not intended by the devs but still a fun expression of skill inside the game.
It would be helpful to understand with what concept in mind the devs are creating and balancing the game so we, the community, can better understand your intend and give relevant feedback.
Yes we understand there are plenty of different play-styles and with less points for close proximity to hooks the devs do try to incentivize the players to play a certain way.
So for clarification what would be the desired play-style, the one that would resemble the original idea of the devs. How should the killers behave?

@DarkGGhost I mostly play to maximize my points. I will however camp and tunnel someone if they follow me around with a flashlight and leave everyone else alone.

Gen rush the killer and ignore all the dull totems or chests, and when you get the job done, go to the chest and search it safely. I just can't understand it.
Either take your time and search chests before completing all the generators or go for the chest in endgame collapse and risk yourself.
No, they need to pressure the killers as much as they want and when the generators get completed, they can go for the chests before opening the exit gates and starting the end game collapse.
