I will respond without sarcasm. My only rule is that I will play dirty if the survivors are toxic (teabagging, flashlight clicking).
8 -
I do whatever I have to do to win. I don't enjoy having any self imposed handicaps at the behest of my opponents.
7 -
Should I read you the survivor mains book rules? Like... It'll take me an eternity... That thing is a Bible..
10 -
I only have one rule to be honest; Body blocking = face camp.
To hell with the rest of the game, to hell with rank and pipping, to hell with the rest of the survivors.
Teabagging/taunting....I don't care, you think it annoys me? I swear to you, it really doesn't. Makes me chuckle sometimes actually. It's just you wasting time, allowing either me to get closer or you're not repairing gens. Either way is fine with me.
Flashlights....part of the game, blind me all game if you want. Guess I should have taken "Lightborne".
Perks...DS, MoM, Adrenaline, ALL part of the game.
Looping....again, I played before bloodlust and Entity windows being blocked. having survived serious window juking...it's part of the game.
No, for me, body blocking is the biggest single immersion breaker. I feel 100% confident that if asked:
Is body blocking by survivors part of the design of the game, to be used as part of a strategy by survivors, or is it an unintended consequence of the collision physics in game.
The answer would be "unintended". The developers just can't find a better solution, or don't care about the issue as much as I do. Obviously they could remove collision....happens when a killer hits a survivor. The killer goes into a "weapon pause" animation, which phases the killer out of the world for those few seconds...BUT you kind of need collision to hit survivors. I'm rambling now, bot short of a direct quote from a developer....nothing will have me believe that the devs are fine with fearless survivors running up to the killer with every intention of just standing there.

Great ! Now I know why I get facecamped for no reason!
1 -
The only "rule" I have abusing voice is cheating.
0 -
Read much? I provided a reason. A very specific reason.
Body blocking...no biggie.
Body blocking while I'm attempting to hook a survivor....face camp.
And don't go patting yourselves on the back like I'm going all try hard neckbeard German gaming kid.
It's more of a "matter of fact" attitude.
"Well, you're on the hook until death".

It is your rule, it doesn't matter what others think.

One rule... MoFuggas eat dirt.

Rule #72: Always run Devour Hope.

In my opinion, these are the only "unwritten rules" any player should follow:
1 - Play how you want to play and enjoy the game.
2 - Respect is akin to Newtons 3rd law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Ergo, if you show no respect, don't expect any.
3 - The Killers role is to kill, the Survivors is to survive... Both by any means necessary. Hate the game, not the player.
4 - When the gates are powered... Anything goes.
5 - You paid money for a multiplayer experience, and thus aren't entitled to win every match. Anyone who takes umbrage to this should stick to single-player games where-in you are entitled to win for the money you paid. Being salty because of a lost match is unbecoming, embarrassingly juvenile, and toxic to the communities reputation. We're all people pitting our skills, strategies, and knowledge against each-other. If you lose and have nothing good to say: Leave a "gg," calm down/lick your wounds, and move onto the next match.
6 - (For PC players anyways) Post game chat can be closed using the ">>" in the lower right of the chat box, and will remain closed until you either open it again or restart the game. No one deserves abuse, so if you find yourself frustrated over excessive endgame chat toxicity: Just close it, and continue enjoying the game in peace.
7 - This is a 4v1 Lobby and Match style Multiplayer game. When you queue up to play a match you are committing to seeing it through so that everyone can enjoy the game, and everyone else who queued up is depending on your commitment to the match in order to experience said enjoyment. The acceptable reasons for Intentionally Disconnecting from a match are as follows:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Report these ones after leaving the match)
- Influences and situations outside of the game that make your disconnection unavoidable in order to deal with said circumstances.
Disconnecting from a match intentionally for any other reason is a practice in bad sportsmanship that Ruins the experience for all other players. Disconnecting over petty reasons doesn't do anything other than piss off everyone else, and makes you a worse player for it since you don't learn how to play any better by quitting. Too many DC's from too many players can also result in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love. If you are frustrated with how a match is going; Take it in stride as a learning experience, see it through to the end, take a break, and decide if you want to queue up for another match. We all bought this game in order to play it with others despite how each match goes, and the majority of the fun this game offers is in the variation of each individual match.
Don't be a petty DC'er.

Had a new one to add to my survivors rule book today.
Rule #251
~ If the killer swings at pallets and windows 8/10 times, they are boosted
2 -
I have no "if you so this I do that" I just play and adapt to what happens in the game.
2 -
I only have one rule, play however you want and I'll play however I want. That's it, no one gets special treatment or anything unless they're obviously being toxic. No I don't mean playing the game toxic I mean ACTUALLY being toxic.
0 -
My only rule is that if I fail head on then you’re a bad person.
Jokes aside I have no rules.
2 -
You have my curiosity....what's "toxic"? Pointing at you? Flashlights? Looping?
0 -
Sellouts get tunneled or camped I don't care what you're doing I hate people who sell out their teammates
2 -
That's okay. Continue to get flustered over a very effective strategy. It only helps your opponents.

I used to have the commandment "Thou shalt not suffer a DS user to live"
It is now: "Thou shalt not suffer a MoMy boy to live"
0 -
My new rule is: Never press 'Play as Killer'. In fact, its not even that. Now it's: Never re-install Dead by Daylight.
0 -
Rule 665: If I play Leatherbutt I will insidious camp you in the basement. It amuses me.
Rule 666: If I catch you while playing Leatherbutt, I will camp you. It seriously amuses me.
0 -
My rule is simple: I play Dead by Daylight because it's a PvP Game. That means my goal is to kill the opponent. That is my only goal. Now, whether or not my method of achieving said goal (which will vary from killer to killer) is fun for my opponent is the least of my concerns. I'm here to kill survivors.
And yes, I expect the same from my enemy. They're here to complete generators and get out the gates. Use whatever means necessary.
I surely will.
And no, I don't expect to win them all. Hell, some nights I don't win any. Nature of the beast. If I want to win them all, I'll go play WoW on that night and run PvE instances against scripted A.I. Or go play Jason in F13 offline mode.

Survivor mains book rules
Rule number one: Assume every killer thinks claudettes are toxic
1 -
@FSB75 I mean genuinely being an arse, by that I mean constantly t-bagging, farming your teammates, following me around being useless to your teammates, going clicky clicky with the flashlight. I dont consider perks, styles of play or specific items toxic, only the player
0 -
That's the point haha
0 -
i will farm with the survivors, if 2 or more quit / immediately killed themselves.
EXCEPTIONS: the survivors being a toxic group, me having a daily to sacrifice survivors, or i generally am in a bad mood.
the last point of the exceptions sadly applies to me right now, as i a m really annoyed by the current DC rates. "Oh No! ThE KiLlEr DoWnEd Me! QuIcKlY, Dc BeFoRe He CaN HoOk Me!" in the lasst couple of days ive had exactly 2 rounds without a DC. every other game i played, at least one Survivor immediately quit when something didnt go as they wanted it to.
at this point i am really tired of farming .-.
