Can we get a complimentary 24hr DC'er ban-wave before the blood hunt?
BHVR has done Ban-waves in the past with great effect against DC'ers, if only temporary. I REALLY WANT to enjoy the blood hunt next week, but am convinced that the enjoyment will be marred by an increased amount of DC'ers who won't bother to "stick it out" for the blood point gains alone, and fallback on their toxic habit. I have absolutely no faith in them ceasing their petty behavior just because we'll be earning more bloodpoints, and I definitely don't want the few games I get to play after work to be nearly pointless as I end up earning less than half of what I would if nobody DC's. It'll still be more BP than I'm earning now, but I project not nearly as much as it should be for anyone... unless these habitual DC'ers get a slap.
Please instigate a 24hr Ban-wave the day before, or on the first day of the blood hunt, so that everyone who habitually DC's when a match isn't going their way won't be present on the first day of the event, or at least will have been warned and hopefully be less inclined to make this the worst blood hunt ever.
I'm so sick of this crap. The dedicated servers and disciplinary committee can't come soon enough.

Heck yeah.. I've lost quite a few BPS or cakes on my survivors because of killer DCs. On my Killers i just end up with a minimum amount of BP out of pity for the remaining survivor.
Don't think its just survivors who DC and are going to disappear.

This I play both and survivors DCing doesn't piss me of as much as killers DCing because I lose my offering if the killer DC's and I know plenty of killers that DC when they see more than 1bps because they think it is a swf rather than a pregame "I am playing bps"

Considering they'll want to see how the numbers do during the event I highly doubt that. I bet they don't do ban waves near events or new DLCs. Just a guess though

They "supposedly" did a Ban-wave a week before Spirit came out. Haven't done one since.

Considering how much of a thing DC's have been, it's very quiet in this thread...

It really hasn't been that quiet on these forums, and there are multiple posts about how frustrating its become, and how its killing the fun of the game. The devs know it's a problem, and are planning to do something about it when the Dedicated servers are up, but they still have the power to do something right now, and I'm hoping they do before the Blood Hunt next week.
Blood Hunts always have the effect of increasing the amount of players during the event, but considering how many players are DC'ing currently during normal traffic... I believe something needs to be done before the blood hunt to remind people that if they are going to ruin it for everyone, then they don't deserve to participate in the event.
Thank you for your support of this request.

They probably should, show them that DCing isn't okay and not ruin the event for everybody else but I doubt they will.

Yes! but this would make queues INFINITES..

Banning them at the start of the event as a "present for the normal players" means they have less players during an event.
And well, as developers, you'd want your game flooded with players, especially during that.

I believe some of the worst players for dc-ing should get banned before it. Then they should notify everyone that they are going to ban anyone during the event who DC's enough.

I doubt it will happen. Behavior wouldn't want their player-base getting inconvenienced by something like a punishment for disconnecting en masse.

That depends on if they do it on the first day of the event, or the day before the event. If before the event, queue times for normal play would see a sudden increase for a day, but then it'd go back to normal or better during the event. If they did it on the first day of the event however, for some reason I believe that the increase in players playing the game will outweigh the ones unable to participate due to the soft-ban, and so we may not even notice a difference in the queue times... unless of course more than 70% of the player-base is habitually DC'ing, in which case, queue times will be higher on the first day of the event, and go back to normal for the 2nd day.
I'm just wondering what would get the message across better: missing out on a day of normal play before the event, or missing out on the first day of the event due to your bad behavior?

Less players yes but a lot less people DCing and ruining games all trough the event, just take a look at how games are now It's hard to find a game where someone doesn't DC and ######### over the rest of the team.
I Agree the Devs want numbers, That's why i think it wouldn't happen.

It's why they balance around the casual players, cause that's where the vast majority is.
Just barely 10% of players reach rank 10 as Survivor, and only 6% do so as Killer.

Dcing intentionally should just give that player a 30min ban.

That would be nice, and on par with other competitive multiplayer games like Overwatch who have strict rules regarding unsportsmanlike behavior. I'm not sure DbD really needs this level of strict penalties, but it would certainly put a stop to toxic DC'ing. The problem is that we won't be getting any action on punishing habitual DC'ers until the Dedicated servers are available for everyone. The devs have the power to instigate a DC Ban-wave right now, which if they did before the blood hunt, would restore much of my faith in them, but i'm not expecting them to despite this post and our pleading. *Sigh* Steel yourself... this blood hunt is going to be a bad one, I just KNOW it is, and I'm not spending a single xp boost offering, or using any good items/add-on's until the DC epidemic is under control.

For those who have exceeded the threshold for a DC ban, BHVR should ban then for the entire double BP event. If that doesn't dissuade them from DCing, nothing will.

@Boss What???? I play casual (only friday night /occasional weekends) and only 4-6h sessions on those nights and I've routinely made it to old rank 1 survivor (and old rank 5 killer but I played this much less) and new rank 5 survivor (haven't played much killer at all since latest updates so around rank 10) I thought I was pretty bad/average at both though, how is the general community achievement for rank 10 only 6% that's crazy given how easy it used to be to rank up, suddenly you just added a new level to why this game is balanced around rank 20... Thanks for this, genuinely interesting +1

Nope sorry bud not complementary thatll be 5.99$ per player you want banned

That's a pretty bad comparison as most endings don't even have a part where it seems like you have to jump.
Also, what i said is just a fact.
You can't play this game offline, so you'll have to earn achievements.
If 10% don't reach rank 10, then 10% don't reach rank 10.

DCing is only a temporary ban. On your 3rd temporary ban, it becomes a permanent ban. I actually prefer the Salt Mines approach, along with those in the Salt Mines not being able to participate in public events.
