How to counter Mettle of Men?
Its just that its been so demoralizing playing against it seeing people get away when I'm just there playing like normal.
I really don't wanna just go online to just whine and ######### about it, without learning how to play against it first.

Easy.
Play Legion, Billy, LF, Huntress or Plague.
Only normal M1 if broken or in injured state. Always pick them up immediately so they don't get a 4th injured state.
Thats the only 100% way. M2 attack killers.
You could also do trapper but that would require only traps.

I've been only playing insta-saw Billy since this perk came out so... You should start doing the same if you dont want to deal with it.

M2 attacks aren't available to every killer so no there's no actual Game play counter other than face camping, Ridiculous I know.

Not only that, it's also ridiculous to expect a Billy using m2 against an injured survivor. No point to make downing someone even harder.

How to counter MoM:
Universal counter is to face camp the first hook.
A Mori, Ivory or Ebony allows you to kill them after the first unhook, if the couldn't heal up.
Otherwise if your killer has access to alternative attacks you can deny MoM from stacking.
Instadowns from a healthy state is also possible.
But stacked MoM in injured state is besides bugs or grabs impossible to counter.

You have to be a killer that can bypass it or use perks that do otherwise you just can't unless you use a mori or camp a guy you suspect of using it.

MoM is becoming more popular. When I see it proc, it's not a big deal. Go hit them again.
My ONLY complaint is that it ignores insta downs for Bubba and Billy. Does MoM ignore the "exposed" status effect?

This is why the argument of it being countered by an M2 killer is so stupid. Yes potentially it could be if killer only every M2s in every game just in case of a perk which aside of huntress is idiotic to do and for someone like Billy much more difficult to do.
The perk needs a rework plain and simple, The Devs messed up big time.

Either never hit them, or never stop hitting them. Waste the perk and use the infinite aura reading to your advantage. Remember, next time you down them, the aura is lost.

@FSB75 ANY damage that would make the survivor go from injured to dying is negated once it's activated. M1 hits, instadown abilities, exposed status - you name it. It does NOT work if they are healthy however, so it doesn't matter if they have the perk activated if you hit them with anything that makes them go from healthy directly to dying.
The aura reading part is quite specific too. It only becomes a problem if they tank a hit with MoM, escape the chase and heal up without going down. They can heal up just fine after being downed past the point they negate a hit with the perk.

You can counter Mettle of Man easily.
Its such an overrated perk.
Just dont play killer.
It's simple as that.
Only use billy or nurse.

how to counter mettle of man. watch their aura and then go amd hit them again. pretty simple and if such can not be overcome, this probably isn't your gams.

The only surefire way to counter MoM is to make sure you don't hit a survivor three times with your basic attack. If you're playing a killer who has nothing but basic attacks, this means that once you get a survivor on the hook, you need to camp them until they die. Of course, since there's no way to know if they have MoM or not, this might be a waste of your time. It is, however, the only real counter for M1 killers.

Aside from camping the first hook and mori.... there is no counterplay to it. Which is why it is such a broken perk. Free second chance for a survivor.

If you can actually see their aura, that means you've hit them 3 times to activate it. Possibly hit them one more time which got negated. Then they got away and healed. And now you have to go and hit them 2 more times (3 if you didn't already do the MoM hit) cause they got the chance to heal in order to down them.
If you can actually see their aura, that means they most likely got an extra health state along the way that you have to deal with in addition to the extra hit from MoM. Yeah, you can see their aura from a distance, but if you can, that means something happened to make things even harder for you.

People that complain about MoM dont even play killer thats a fact. They just salty about free state. As a killer in order to have chances to 4k against decent players you need to apply pressure so obviously perk that MAY activate In the middle - end of a game does nothing to killer. Horror movie fanboys are salty that its hard to play killer. For them getting all survivors killed should be easy just like in the movies.

It goes somewhere if a dev actually makes a statement about whether or not the team is going to look at reworking MoM or not. And if they haven't said something yet, they're probly trying to see if this is some kind of wave that will just wash away after the perk isn't new. Constantly arguing is probly the best way to actually make them issue a statement about it. And if they have made a statement on whether or not they're looking at a possible rework, somebody please link me to it.

MoM is not only a OP perk but also unfun to play against and it dosent get better that its locked behind a paywall. But the worst about MoM is that it shows how the devs operate they make a second chance perk on purpose to earn more money with a dlc eventhough they know since years how we hated DS. They dont care about the game only fast money.
The reason why MoM is so rediculus is 4 people can have it so it can net 4 extra hits and you can combine it with exhaustion perks and other second chance perks like unbreakable and DS. The ammount of additional hits you can take via perks or avoid combined multiplied by 4 is what causes the issue. If you couldnt equip an exhaustion perk if you equip MoM i would be fine with it personally. But since that is probably not going to happen better rework it for example like this:

My problem with MoM is not the fact that it is more second chance garbage, but the absolute cynism the devs have shown us by creating it
They pretended to acknowdlege the DS problem by reworking the perk, just to release Ash and MoM a ######### MONTH LATER! it took them 2 goddamn years to do anything about it, way more than the machine gun meta, pallet vacuum and infinite loops
this would be mildly okay if people were able to purchase Ash via iridescent shards (or gameplay) but you are forced to buy him to get MoM
They are going to let people buy Ash and when most people have bought him they are just going to rework MoM to keep the killer playerbase happy and short after they are going to get a new liscensed killer with a new OP perk and every survivor is going to have to buy him to keep up with the meta
i think no one here is a stranger to shady business tactics, and i think this kind of garbage is EA or Ubisoft tier

I’m a Wraith main and MoM hasn’t been a big problem for me. When I’m playing survivor it rarely activates.

there is no counter to it as m1 killer. thats the selling point of the dlc. thats why the devs and mods ignoring questions about it. because there is no good reason why this perk made it into the game except money.

To balance such perks, every perk should only allowed to be equipped once, Would end in 16 different used perks in a team.
