The Scream DLC will be a better Legion DLC
In case you want to see the vid I'm talking about, I'll post it here.
Some stuff that isn't covered in this vid is that since we picked up on this, the tweets have all been removed, but he (the man in charge of liscensing ghostface) posted a bunch of stuff to twitter hinting at ghostface coming to DBD. including how he wants to put Ghostface into a successful running horror game. But check out the vid for more explicit clues. It should be time stamped to start right before he shows the tweets.
So, Ghostface.. Ghostface was a couple guys killing other people as a team. What kind of power would he have? Well... Just look at the killer we already have that's a group of people in a masks.
I know what you're saying. "okay, but we hated that concept."
Yup. And instead of re-envisioning the power, they did what? Made him an M1 killer that's going to rely on his CD add-ons. I think they did this because if they changed his power much, it would end up being to similar to a DLC they are already working on.
What do you think? What do you think his power will be? I'm hoping his power scales through the match, maybe as he stabs people.

You are talking about the sound files. Those sounds don't exactly point to pinhead. They do kinda sounds hellraiserish, since they sound electronic and not made with real instruments like scream did. But i think that's a studio choice that people are reading to far into. Plus the sounds could work for Scream as well.
Add into it the tweets from the liscensing officer for ghostface stating that the guy asking for ghostface to be in DBD will have a huge ghostface announcement at the end of next month because he keeps his promises... Then pulls them down a day later?
It smells like he got a little to excited and BHVR was like "hey, let's get the dlc done first"

Agreed, I'm not buying into the Pinhead stuff either. I feel that it could be fake, not saying that it is, but there's a good chance it could be. Compare that with all the evidence we have for Ghostface on the other hand, which is far more convincing. Still, I just don't know what power Ghostface would have.The only thing I can think of though, would maybe be something where if he's at a distance from a survivor, you activate this power, and basically highlight a survivor, and press another button to select them. Then, the survivor would hear a 90's cell phone ringing for a few seconds, and Ghostface would basically appear right next to the chosen survivor, if that makes sense. Something similar to the Nurse's power, or the Hag's jumpscare ability.

@TheShape78 oooohhhhhhh.... Not a bad idea. You could tie it to a generator even. Kinda "calling it" and appearing there after a couple seconds of eerie music/ sounds.

Ok, let me clear this up. Yes, last year R.J. Torbert (who owns rights to the Ghostface mask), responded to an individual on Twitter who basically said "Hey R.J., you need to try to get Ghostface in Dead by daylight". To which R.J. Torbert responded with "Working on it...stay tuned. In fact, when it's ready, I'll let you announce it, how does that sound?" followed by a wink and smiley face. Flash forward to this year on April 1st (yes, I'm well aware that happens to be April fools day) R.J. Torbert posts a message on Twitter saying the name of the individual who asked about Ghostface being added to DBD last year, who he had promised to allow to make the announcement, basically saying this.."(name of the individual he allowed to make announcement) will be making a major Ghostface announcement on May 28, always keep your promises." Again, referring back to last year when this individual asked about Ghostface being added to DBD, and thus being allowed to make said announcement. To make this even more credible, May 28 just so happens to line up perfectly with the release of the next DBD chapter, which would be teased with this announcement on May 28, tested around June 4, then released around June 18 or so. If that does not convince you...nothing will.

I'd look forward to a Scream chapter, but aren't the in-house Chapter updates all original content? I thought things like Leatherface and Meyers were just added in whenever they were ready. Or am I wrong? I don't know if they came according to schedules or anything. I've been with Scream since the beginning, so I'm not opposed to getting it at all.

Found out about this on Reddit. Apparently, someone dug into the Dead by daylight game files, and found this icon of a graduation cap, and it seems to be for an offering, which would suggest it could be related to a high school map...Woodsboro high? 🤔

it does look legit. Usualy the fake icons that surface are to clean. BHVR offerings and such have a grainy feel to it like this one does. So I feel it's legit. But knowing the source would be great.

@GrandpaBill24 I'm sold that it's scream. The sounds found don't match up to hellraiser like the halloween sounds match myers, or the freddy hum matches freddy.
I'm still wondering what their power will be though.

@TheShape78 In wiki, there is a killer that is not released into the game (@DocOctober thanks for putting it into wiki) called "The Teacher" which had a survivor with a nuisance hat on and used a ruler blade as his/her power

Dunce cap, you mean. Completely different cap then this one, I've seen both files. This graduation cap was not in the teacher files before. it showed up recently.

The thought of "ghostface" as a killer just doesn't excite me honestly. It feels like Legion already fills that role. But who knows, if they come up with something clever enough then I might be interested.

I am more interested in survivors tbh since I can play them like all the others. Even if ghostface come out decent they will just nerf him eventually. I lost faith in devs regarding killers.

The Scream DLC would be great for the game. No one wants Hellraiser. That franchise might be cheaper to acquire in rights, but it's dead in the water and has been for 20+ years.
Scream had a movie like 7 years ago. While it was average, it was still something.
I did think that Legion was their version of scream, just how Hillbilly is somewhat their version of LF... before they got that license.
A Ghostface DLC would be really interesting. A power where their auras blink like phones or something with the earned right would be cool.
He's have to be a 110% killer with the ability to travel in 120% spurts or something. It could be awesome if done right.

@PaulieEsther This might be a stretch, but haven't they've been trying to get Ghostface added for over a year now according to the tweet from the guy who holds the license? If so, that could maybe explain why its been in the files for so long???

It really pisses me off that people keep saying stuff like "we already have Legion and that would be Ghostface's power!" Like what the hell, you really think just having a knife lowers the options for powers to "It HAS to be stabbing and similar to Legion."
Leatherface and Billy both use chainsaws, and looking past the actual balance of them, they're still distinct in their gameplay. Hell, Myers and Legion both have knives but that doesn't make their powers remotely similar.
Personally I'd love to see Ghostface with a power revolving around calling people. Imagine like 90s style phones on a small table as a prop (like Jigsaw boxes) that he could call and survivors would be forced to pick them up or suffer debuffs near them if they don't. He could laugh when you've answered the phone, hiding his terror radius to the survivor who answered or reveal their position. I dunno, there's TONNES of possibilities that would make him more distinct in the game than the tryhard squad.
I also like the idea of using phones as it would make sense to name him "The Voice" as it's usually what the voice actor of Ghostface is credited as anyway.

If you look at the item in the files it says that the Graduation Cap was created on September 18th, 2018. So that means the cap came in when the Spirit DLC went live.
The Ormond map damaged photo map offering on the other hand was created December 11th, 2018
