Question about Haddonfield

Will the map ever get redesigned? So many people complain about it. It's the only map I actively DC on as killer because every time I get it there's four balanced landing Claudettes.

Yeah i hope this happens at some point as well, alot of killers insta dc when they get this map and it gets pretty annoying at times, i don't blame them, it's understandable with how bad this map is, i just wish it was more balanced.

It's even worse when you're playing a slow killer like Huntress. The survivors don't even have to go IN the houses, they can run huge circles around a house and you can't catch them. :/

I never DC but I do play some KYF on that map to learn some strategies, helps out, like force a Survivor to jump the window on the stairs and then run down and smack them where they jump after going back down stairs and hit them, lots of loops and too much space, I don't hate it but I don't love it, Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Hex: Ruin and probably Surveillance would buy you a lot of time.

I suggest to DC every time when this map spawns, the loop in strode's house is ridiculous

No, it's my fav map. Really fun with trapper, you can glitch traps in the stairs (they get invisible)

@Arroz I had this happen on Lery's stairs in the treatment theatre (didn't know it could happen on haddonfield too)... but it was the whole match my traps were invisible. I kept stepping in my traps by accident in some areas and a King literally got stuck facedown in the stairs bc he was trapped and every time I tried to pick him up the trap would snap and he'd get buried in the floor again. I had to try 5x to pull him out...

Oh I remember this glitch, is really old, (I think it's from 2.5.0) they already fixed it, but what I mean, if i place trap perfectly it can be invisible like down of the stairs

@Arroz I was like it was only a few months ago then I looked at 2.5.0 release date you mentioned. I took my dbd break soon after, glad they fixed it though bc trapper on lery's with invisible traps in narrow paths is not good for anyone. Yeah, I get what you mean now, a lot of trappers try for that sneaky one on the stairs.

Don't worry, I do. Considering every killer I play can't do anything at all about the houses.

See, I've tried to mindgame the houses multiple times. It NEVER works. They're so braindead easy to loop that unless the survivor has two braincells you're just going to be infinited.

Haddonfield is the only map I will willingly DC on because of how broken the loops are. It needs a rework ASAP.

How would they rework it though? I'm not really sure there's much they can change about a neighborhood street, unless you're referring to the house interiors or backyards and driveways. As a Michael Myers Halloween fan, Haddonfield is easily one of my favorite maps in the game, needless to say, but I must admit, there is just something about they layout that is so unique from any other map in the game, that something just feels slightly off about it, gameplay wise.

I personally love Haddonfield as both Killer and Survivor, but the nap dies feel way to cluttered and easy to Bob and weave through.
