Non-human killers

Is is a requirement for new killers to be entirely human/once human? Or can a killer have human-like movements/models and still be in the game if it's not human and has never been human?
Essentially i'm asking if the mindset behind this is explicitly a lore based reasoning or if it's tech based?

You are probably thinking about the leaked sound effects. I don't think so, as long as the creature has some sort of conscience and can be controlled by the Entity to take its hope and make it into a killer, I don't think so.

This is something I've actually been wanting a lot. Some more "creaturish" type killers. They said they wanted to stick to humanoid killers, but they've also changed their mind on many of the things they said they wouldn't ever do. I also wonder how far you could stretch "humanoid" to.

I feel like something like Alien, or maybe the Wendigo from Until Dawn(wait, formerly humans)

Kinda. The devs have made comments in the past about human only killers. But I couldn't remember if it was purely because of the cost of new tech or if it was because of lore reasons. Hopefully it's not because of lore. I HATE when games are held back because of lore.

Look, guys... All I'm saying is that "We'll never release a clown killer." - Them one time.

You know, someone mentioned doing some killers inspired by the old Universal movie monsters, if not the actual monsters themselves, like Frankenstein, Creature of the Black Lagoon (my favorite Universal movie monster), or Wolfman. I think these would all be cool, maybe even do like a Universal movie monster killer pack to get them all in one dlc pack. One can only dream...😍

Devs said that killer past must be humanoid then when they become killers they have theyre own looks and powers i cannot see wendigo or alien in this game since they arent humans
