If it does not effect things that influence gameplay.... sure, just another way for people to support the game if they choose to spend $$ on cosmetics.

The pass BS does NOT belong in a game like this. Just because all theses BR games have it don't mean DBD should have it.

I wouldn't mind if it gave me a crap load of more BP, new skins, and priority in queue times, servers closer to me and early access to DLC's, and rewards after every season.

I've just come back to the game after about 3 months not playing. I got so tired of other games recently because of Battle passes and loot boxes. I hate it so god damn much. Please do not put this in the game. There have been multiple games that fell off due to the community backlash of implementing such tactics to grab more money. Hell, half the community in this game is already mad about the amount of cosmetics shoved out so quickly. Take the recent ones for example, it feels rushed and Hag and Kate's skins are just hideous.

No.... it would be away of decreasing the grind and making money at the sametime.... which is lazy... they need to fix the game the right way.... DBD is prettymuch still in beta form theres so much lore and other things that they could implement into the game to make it better that would attract more players thus increasing their profit

God no, have you seen what the battle pass did to other games?
Rather than adding a battle pass they could just improve the daily rewards system or the store.
Also i really doubt that IF they do make a Battle pass they probably aren't gonna add any new stuff, besides upcoming dlc.

as if implementing a battle pass would make devs not work on other things. if its just a typical battle pass itll just only consists of cosmetics and possibly emotes and other things.if you dont like more cosmetics then simply dont buy the said battle pass and move on with your life, simple as that.
also i would like to know what the battle pass did to "other games" battle passes only gave devs more money, made fortnite more popular so PLEASE. tell me what battle pass did to "other games"

The main problem is they won't be able to create enough content for it every few months.
They would need to expand their team or add stuff like perks.

I would like more but I don't think they'll make enough money to hire enough people.
They'd make more money just creating skins and selling them.
Rocket League, Fortnite, Call Of Duty and Apex all have big enough teams to keep up with the demand.

Has there been any further information on what they mean by a Battle Pass?
To me a Battle Pass is like a Premium Account in Waragaming's games, you get 50% more XP and credits in your matches. Whereas a Season Pass is where you get all the new content but at a cheaper total price than buying them all seperately.

Until they actually get their act together and fix a lot of outstanding issues, I'm not inclined to give them additional money. Not for new DLCs, and especially not for a Battle Pass

As someone who has aspired to design and make assets for video games since 8 years old and soon will, I get deeply irritated by people buying into this idea that you are giving these little background creators "more money" to do their job. No, when you buy a battle pass you're letting yourself be scammed by greedy publishers and developers.
(EG not associated with bbb)
Even desperate kids and broke people who can't afford to let themselves be scammed instead by "hackers", "account sellers", and "glitch/bug/bypass know-it-alls" and websites generating click/ad revenue for their false advertising.
I watched a video not long ago (few weeks ago) about how fortnite got itself probably a good 25mil annually in scams. Not sure if that includes the independent scammers in it's community but I highly doubt that. But you're not going to see the little guys getting famous and rolling in dough for being part of stuff like this, if anything they just have more competition to deal with getting in the industry and still average salary. Subscriptions should not exist unless you're just paying to use the server imo. Paying for cosmetics, bonuses, etc is taking things too far and unless the company develops and publishes their own stuff and has a good reputation for making great content, taking care of their customers, and paying their employees great (Blizzard; although its getting shaky recently) they should not be making so many microtransactions.
BHVR can calm down with all their freaking "tournaments" ideas and new skins and work on balancing the game, fixing the server as they've been promising for years before they even think of adding a battle pass. And players need to stop throwing around that they're giving more support to the little guys for paying for this kind of crap. This is why we'll never see ethical practices in micro-transactions; because the gamers themselves just take the finger up the butt.

Agreed. They release what 5-7 skins every patch yet this game has no depth. No new in game mechanics for all. No balance so at high ranks we see more than 3 killers. they want this to be an esport but cant balance jack. The pass with the crafting system will mean 1 thing and one thing only, Purple flashlights and BNP as far as the eye can see. No thank you.

Battle pass in itself is already a very grind based system
Dead by daylight has a very grind base system mixing them together does not bode well
That's like saying I don't like how much cheese this pasta has let me fix It by adding more cheese

At first I thought it was a bad idea but then I thought about having missions or something to do will give me a reason to play other killers/survivors along with using perks I wouldn't use. I think it would be good to have a pass system in the game but I guess it depends on how it is and what the rewards are for it.

DbD is a greedfest already. We don't need a Battle Pass to further cement it.
