Are sounds even more messed up?
Seriously, I was playing a few Spirit games with my normal settings, and everything was a lot quieter than usual.
The injured sounds, footsteps. Whereas the chase music and generators were still obnoxiously loud.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Also Spirit is still bugged, It’s quieter but still bugged.

Some things are messed up yes, but its still better than 3 months ago. *Cough* Lampkin Lane Ear ######### *Cough*

It awes me how Behavior can break the sound of the game with every patch they release.
2 -
@Unnamed_Freak You really shouldn't be. They do this all the time.
1 -
I mean .... seriously. How much spaghetti-code is required to break the sounds, even though patches dont feature any sound adjustments at all? There hasnt been a *single* patch in the last year that did not break any kind of sounds.

@thatguyinktown There are a lot of sound bugs with the Spirit. The big one was fixed, that does not mean the others are all gone.

There are actually no footstep sounds at all now, other than your own.

Sounds are busted. Again, and even worse than last time.
I really don't understand. Is it on purpose to boost survival rates? I don't know why would they blast chase music so loud.

@Kaelum I was able to hear footsteps earlier. Specifically it was in the building in Macmillan estate. I could hear the footsteps echo on the upper portion which helped me track someone with iron will and calm spirit.

Maybe it was because sound works differently on the metal areas?

@NuclearBurrito that’s possible. I haven’t played killer since patch day because of this, and I didn’t have anyone running up there when I had that map once. Not even The Game had and footstep sounds, and I had my volume up as loud as I could tollerate.
1 -
@NuclearBurrito what big one? If you’re talking about the cracking when phasing, that’s still there, it’s just quieter.

Yup the sounds are borked again, injured survivors sound levels are inconsistent , I barely hear them when they are near but sometimes I hear them when they are hiding pretty far away from me. Footsteps sounds sometimes work, but not every game.
Hooks sounds plays on loop , vault sounds are very inconsistent and loud at times and the music is way too loud.

we've had sound issues before.
dont worry, they will be fixed in the next 5 months or so.

There is supposed to be a crack sound. The bug was that it was playing multiple times at once and could be heard by survivors.
So the sound being quieter means the bug was fixed and it's now just an audio que for the Spirit's ears only like it's supposed to be.

These issues keep getting worse but has anyone heard the weird noises coming from hooks and the odd random breathing it's really trippy as both surviour and killer but hey might be me I'm a huge sound ######### been programmed into me since call of duty lol

Hooks creak, i noticed.
But not wood creaking, it sounds fleshy.
As if the Entity's already there, waiting for a Survivor to be hooked.

Thank god I thought I was tripping out lol glad to see this has been noticed lol yeah it's a really weird noise

Yeah there are still audio issues . I've had it against a billy whose chainsaw noise was stuttering then go completely silent along with his TR and then pops suddenly back on when he is close .
And with a Legion with the Part that affects the entire map even when he was just in a chase it activated and it was too loud.
So yeah there are still audio issues and expect them to happen in the next updates too

It looks like something that could be made intentional, but it's not in the notes, and it's just weird to hear flesh from wooden & metal hooks.

Tin foil hat time what if its to do with an soon tbc hellrasier chapter makes sense as that weird sculpture thing he was in made similar noises
But that's a dream so want pin head lol

@NuclearBurrito oh ok, nice! The crack is still inconsistent for the Spirit though.

good luck chasing in corn fields. You absolutely 100% can't hear the chase.
1 -
Yeap, the music is awfully loud now.
1 -
I'm not surprised at all by this point. You have to wonder if this is being done on purpose though.
Please be kidding. Please.
Glad that actually got fixed. Was it in the patch notes? I don't remember seeing it there.

It depends on the map for Spirit. Yamaoka Estate is terrible. I noticed survivor cries "bounce" around side to side in my headphones on that map. Very hard to describe, but it's definitely off. I'm going to make a bug report thread about her specifically on that map.

@SnakeSound222 I wish that I was, but there aren’t any survivor footstep sounds at all. There might be echos of footsteps on the metal grids, but not the footsteps themselves. I was playing on PC today and had 3 killer dailies. Not once did I hear a footstep in any of those matches. I normally play on PS4 and only got the PC version for PTB access. Plus, Monitor & Abuse is on the shrine, so I’m getting it for my Hag. :)

I think it became a general rule that whenever devs try to adjust "something" in sound issues, they break "everything" again.
Another rule for killer sound issues: if it was 100% before the issue, and it gets "fixed", it will be below that 100% afterwards.

Idk about you guys but gens repair sound it's more bugged after every patch. Sometimes you have to be right next to them or they don't emit any sound. I guess this habit of messing up audio will continue to happen.
Also footsteps are rarely heard and there is something weird about injured survivor cries.. sometimes it's difficult to know the direction of the sound. So i most of the time rely on scratch marks.

Yeah the sounds are pretty bad. Idk how the sounds get screwed up after every single patch they do, it's quite frustrating, especially for Spirit players.
