Generator Parts: Optional Objective
IntroDUCTION:
Generators are the most monotonous task in the game, you just sit in the same spot while you're doing some QTE (Skill Checks). It's why most survivors like to find the killer because it's more fun than to be chased rather than doing generator simulator for 80 seconds. Therefore, what would you say if there was a optional objective that required you to move around the map?
Introducing Generator Parts:
Generator Parts are a new mechanic in Dead by Daylight, they allow survivors to reduce the repair time of individual generators by 20 seconds, up to a maximum of 60 seconds.
More information:
In every trial, 5 metallic boxes will spawn with each of them containing 3 parts each. Only the killer will be able to see the auras of all metallic boxes.
- 1 will spawn in the basement.
- 1 will spawn in the killer shack.
- 3 will spawn somewhere else in the map and cannot be within a 32 meter proximity from other metallic boxes.
Survivors will grab a generator part whenever they are beside a metallic box, and it will not count as holding a item. However, they will drop and break whenever they are attacked by the killer. Once a survivor is beside a generator with a generator part, it will take 5 seconds to install into the generator.
Perk Changes:
Note: These changes are added upon what already on the perk.
Ruin: Survivors suffer from the exposed status effect while holding a generator part.
Déjà vu: See the auras of all metallic boxes within a 16/24/32 meter range.
Corrupted Intervention: The Entity blocks all metallic boxes for 60/90/120 seconds.
Surveillance: Whenever a survivor has taken a generator part from a metallic box, receive a visual notification at that metallic box.
Add-on Change:
Renamed Brand New Part
Brand New Part => Professional Repair Kit: Keeps its same effects and its rarity is reduced to very rare.
That's basically it, I know the numbers aren't perfectly balanced but it's enough to give you the idea. Feedback is appreciated, and yes, I know that many people suggested this but I added some pictures to show y'all what it would look like in-game. :)

I've been pushing this idea for quite a while now. I've even playested it myself with a group of red rank survivors.
In my version each generator only requires one part, but that part is required to start repairs. This was simulated in playtests by finding and looting a chest in game. This padded a few more minutes into the game where the survivors had to move around the map. Which helped with chases. Everyone I've done this with in KYF have enjoyed the games so far.
Also Brand new part would simply replace the need to find one part, making it a strong add-on, that isn't super OP, even if everyone takes one.

Only change to it add in the bnp skill check to them so people don't spam use them at once meaning of u mess up it breaks but have the new toolbox work as a stop gap for one extra try

Hook to changes also if people run OOO then there aura revealed to the killer at the standard range but some survivor affects it as well
