End Game Rework (1v1s)

I think End Game is a really good idea but the way 1v1 situations happen is often too one sided for the killer so I had a couple ideas to fix this and Im not gonna say anything about the key because you shouldn't have to rely on a item to escape the game

Idea 1: It has been said multiple times but im gonna say it again Fix. The. Gate. Distance. Doors often spawn way too close to each other and this gives survivors no chance to escape

Idea 2: Have the hatch reopen at the halfway mark. Sure killers can just stay right next to it and close it again but at least this gives the survivor a small amount of time to open the gate to have a chance to escape

Idea 3: I saw this in another thread but I can't remember who came up with it

they had the idea to make it so the amount of generator charges you do reduces the time it takes to open the exit gates so something like every 60 charges reduces it by 2 seconds (obviously the numbers can be tweaked around)

If anyone has other ideas I can add them to the list

Thoughts?

I think it's fine that a 1v1 is in the killer's favor. It's an asymmetrical game, that's how it should be if you find yourself in a 1v1.

@Orion problem is you often find yourself in situations where survivors D/C or kill themselves on first hook which you have no control over

Those are different problems that the devs need to fix. There's no reason to balance around unintended behavior, be it from the game or from the players.

    Wait, I must get it.

You made this post, because you lose vs a killer 1vs1?

    Just a little info.

    DbD is a 4 vs 1 game.

@ShyN3ko no because its ridiculous to have a 1v1 if the killer will always win

@legion_main As I made mention in one of the several other 1v1 threads, the killer does not always win. In a 1v1 situation where EGC has begun, I escape roughly 30% of the time, either via the gate or a key to reopen the hatch. Escape can and does occur. It shouldnt be easy, the power of the match has completely swung to the killer. But it can be done.

Even then you have to be extremely lucky for the gates to not spawn right next to each other

Also we should not be basing it off items we are talking about it as just its base

@legion_main I have escaped a few times with gates right next to each other. I escaped at the very last second but I did. Again, it can be done. It can be done without keys to reopen hatches. To say it is impossible is incorrect. You also are not taking into account maps that clearly benefit the survivor in a 1v1 EGC, such Lery or Game. Yes, a bit of luck is involved. And sometimes the spawn screws the survivor, but sometimes it screws the killer as well.

Still pretty ######### to get screwed over by ######### teammates that dc as soon as they get down or dont do anything the whole game and die

I just want something to reward the person that ACTUALLY did something the whole game

@legion_main If you are in a 1v1 situation before the 2nd gen is powered, both you and the killer are in the same situation in trying to find the hatch. Now it is a race to get there first. Previously in that situation, the survivor was literally screwed. Now they have a fighting chance. I do agree there needs to be a min/max on gate distance though.

Now if you are in a 1v1 situation with the 2nd gen powered, more than likely, the killer will know exactly where the hatch is. DONT GO TO IT. Find a gate and sit. If there killer has not kicked it yet, more than likely he is running NOED. Go work on a gen. If the gen pops, more than likely the killer will kick the hatch and head your way. Go to gate and begin opening. Hopefully you will have enough time to get gate open and escape. Vast majority of the time, you will die. But you have a chance to escape if you play 1v1 situations smartly. I find them very thrilling and fun to play as both killer and survivor.

Wake up is kind of a joke perk... the speed buff is so insignificant it's better to pick literally any other perk over it
