I don't think they should nerf it since new players will not face it every match.

I seen it so many times when i get chased and they could finish like 4 gens because the killer refuses to switch target and then i see teemates just running around looking for totems its really bad in my opionion yeha its not every game but when it hapens its really bad

I always feel like a complete douche whenever I run Ruin.

Because when you get down to the basics all Ruin is, is a crutch for Killers who cant maintain the appropriate amount of map pressure to slow down the game enough to win.

I had an idea to make ruin not a hex for this very reason awhile ago. If they did that more survivors would learn to work through it and eventually killers would stop running it.

There is no diffrent between ruin 1,2,3 so I think new survivors are already learning threw it i just think new survivor need to get a better experience. making ruin not a hex that would make my meme build amazing ruin 1, noed 1 xd

The amount of players I see in purple ranks refusing to do gens says otherwise. Btw the difference with ruin is the higher the tier the more gens lose progress for failed skillchecks, for noed you just get more speed every tier.

Ruined shouldn't be nerfed or anything, in fact, even with ruin up, gens get finished at an alarming rate, so far out of 10 matches I played today, 9 of them were basically that gens got finished in 5 minutes even with ruin up, had to secure 2 kills to get some bp, but the fact is gens are easily able to be worked through ruin, and ruin doesn't help much these due to have totems are still out in the open and how even with ruin, gens get done too quickly.

@Sairek it is probably because of ruin but sometimes you pretty much are forced to gen tap. Thanks invisible skill checks.

You are so right. I DC'd a lot as a noob because I thought the killer was cheating but it turned out to be a perk or add-on. Tombstone Myers! #########! Oh, my bad 💀

Learn to hit skillchecks the perk is actually useless vs good survivors. Stop ya whining and google dbd skillcheck simulator trust me you'll get better with rank 20 logic freddy was nerfed into the ground they need to learn to deal with things and behavior needs to stop breast feeding them and let them learn the game ruin is fine stop crying and read the picture below.

    First of all, "OP"...nah.

Second: Why do you play with new Players, when you can run around a Killer for (potential) 4 Gens?

Third: Those players will learn it. When I started DBD, Ruin was horrible for me, but it was not used on any Killer. Basically, when I started, I knew it was vs Hag, when Ruin was in play.

And well... Players adapted to Ruin over time, new players will do the same. It can be frustrating for new, but I think there are other things that are far more frustrating at the start.

Ruin is the greatest teacher for new players.

Learn how to hit Great Skill checks and totem locations with the same perk.

Everything is OP for new players. Because all new players suck. That said if you're new, just do the gen. If you miss the Hex skill check, you miss it. It's not a big deal.

Instead of 'everything is OP', let's think of it for a fresh chance for players to learn right off the bat, wish I knew all of the messes of this game when I first started playing, it would help to become better faster. I ran Iron Grasp and Unrelenting on Micheal when I first started Killer, what a poor choice, using those perks, they only taught me to be okay with making mistakes rather than learning.

@Hoodedfengm1n Yea. If you let go of the gen as you hit a good skill check it will not regress.

    Edit: Good not great.

Y’all got it all wrong. Freddy is, I mean Freddy was nerfed be because of people of rank 21s and above. ;)

Ruin has for the most part exactly the same effect regardless if your new or veteran. Only difference I see is that the veterans have more skill at consistently hitting great skill checks. Biggest problem it poses for new players is almost all of them run off hunting it instead of trying to work through it. It doesn't make gens anymore dangerous, only take longer based on your rng luck.

Everything seems op when you are new to the game. Ruin isn't even medicore perk xD

About everything is op to new players as they typically don't even understand that they have to repair gens in order to get a chance to escape.

I mean all im saying is that i want ruin 1 and 2 to be a bit diffrent from ruin 3 cause most of the times a new player goes against ruin 1 or 2. But that would ruin my meme build tho tbh xd.
