yes it's raining but i want to see like lakes....snow....lightening....maybe even an area with boats, like a dock?

Yeah I'd like more diverse maps. Some of my favorite ones are the ones with very unique assets like Lerys and the Game

Random pools of unmoving water are not very exciting and so far there hasn't really been a reason to have one in the game

Water with physics is expensive and would probably cause massive FPS issues on console, and water with very simple physics looks cheap and bad

Then you'd have to decide if survivors could swim.

    Or load water graphics, hahaha.

@Madjura if Friday 13th did it i am sure dbd can do it :)

See my post above, if it has physics then that will cause FPS issues on weaker machines and consoles, if it doesn't have physics then it will look very bad

A temporary hiding spot (pool of water) that kills you if you stay in it for too long would be cool however

The maps are not large enough to have bodies of water. I would not mind seeing small puddles in the Red Forest or maybe an actual swamp like environment in the Backwater Swamp. Beyond that, the maps are not big enough to fit it.

yes...i mean it slows survs down ((sorry to my survs peeps)) but the killer moves quicker...i mean i dont know maybe mix it up with the game, make things a little harder, esp if there is a gen near there or a surv has to pull a leaver to let water out while someone does a gen.....i just wish to see this game go into the future

    Ponds are a possibility

A map with a beach and an ocean would also work, instead of walls around the map you would have the ocean as a barrier

Rivers and streams would work too

yes....just even more larger puddles, doesn't have to be a lake...i mean if we had a docks, doesn't mean they have to go in water but least hae it there as a back ground, a different realm

I wonder if water would hurt the frame rate more? 🤔

Technically there is, in the form of mud and rainfall.

It'd be cool to have like ponds or something.

Tbh, I'm all for more map customization. I'd love to see new props that could replace pallets. Sorry, but having pallets appear out of nowhere in a hospital (Léry's) is dumb. I'd replace them with something else, like small, empty medicine cabinets that would act like a pallet.

Also, I've noticed that the devs are experiencing with cool vault spots. I really like the broken stone fence vault spot on Yamaoka, this could be used in so many other maps.

One of my friends asked where all of the water in The Swamp was... well... where is it?

Don't care much about that, except... I'd love to see a mori where you push Dwight's head under water until he stops twitching :)

@FeelsVeryBadMan oh yes, I was thinking the same about the Temple: what the hell are pallets doing there? Shouldn't there be something like carved stone blocks or something more in style? Not that it effects gameplay, but a little off.

    @George_Soros

    Yeah, another good example.

Springwood and Haddonfield are the same, why are just some random wooden pallets in these towns? They could be replaced with like picnic tables or something.

Well, I guess it'd be a lot of work to creat a whole lot of new props to perfectly fit certain maps, so we'll have to do with pallets. Although... I wonder if the devs have ever seen a real pallet. I'm not sure what size they're using in Canada, but standard EU pallets are way too small to effectively stun someone.

Oh, sorry @Mushwin , I know I know: water. Right.

@Milo yes i know there is snow there...a little...i meant like falling snow like the rain in red forest :)

Anyone saying that water physics and the like mess with Console FPS... GTA V and numerous other open worlds would like to have a word with you.

I know they have more optimizations but Dead by Daylight is getting there. Also allowing survivors and killers to swim or use the water to their advantage sounds amazing. It just isn't possible as of now. But maybe soon enough.

The lack of water keeps all of us thirsty for myers.

Survivors must be suffering from major Dehydration at this point.

perhaps instead of a lake you could do a flooded house or something with knee high water.

How about knee deep waters, would avoid all the issues
