BBQ reduces camping. The killer has to hook everyone once, in order to get 4 stacks.
Campers won't get those stacks.
If BBQ has only 1 use, then guess what's gonna happen.

They literally reworked legion's power because survivors complained about no counterplay and soooo broken frank's mixtape.
MoM has no counterplay for M1 killers

30.000 BP for unhooking would result in survivors farming each other.
WGLF was nerfed because no one played normal. Everyone farmed their teammates.
Which resulted in survivors complaining about survivor perks.

All this killer crying about MoM is pathetic. I've noticed no real difference in my kill rate, rank, or BP gain due to MoM. One killer says to get better so you don't depend on a second chance perk, I say killers should get better and stop blaming a simple perk for their problems.
EGC was just implemented and I've had only 3 of 20 matches where someone escaped at all, yet MoM is a problem? Pansies.
Before anyone says Nurse, I main Trapper and tend to enjoy Pig and Hag all of whome are M1 killers.

So few of these posts are helpful. Most are nothing more than grade school name calling.
At some point, we need to be concerned with too many killers and not enough survivors. Que times already suck. We need to attract new survivor players, or there will be no game.

Oh no my two free escape the perks that I have to put no work in work and was very difficult to counter play are getting nerf
Coming from someone who also plays both sides if you constantly have to rely on perks like old decisive strike and MoM you were just a bad Survivor.
You don't need ds or MoM to survive hell I normally run a no mither gen jockey build and I still escape most my matches

@xChrisx Give me CONSISTENT counterplay to MoM. Also, killers can no longer block basement stairs. I'd say that's a killer nerf, the Legion was changed to have more counterplay, DS is still good, just situational. How is the EGC killer sided?

The nerfs to these overwhelming perks needs to happen before killer balancing can occur. It's largely due to said perks disproportionately affecting some killers over others. Like, I'm dying for some Hillbilly nerfs (especially due to Spirit Fury + Enduring/BBQ), but I knew that could never happen when DS was singlehandedly winning games for a lot of survivors against any killer.
And then DS is nerfed. Hooray! But lolholdmybeer, cause here comes Mettle of Man to dunk 75% of the roster.
So, yeah. Once perks are more evened out and balance is equalized on that field, we can look at killers and map designs again.

Lol endgame killer sided. That's so rich after the years of free hatches beiing handed to bad survivors. Now killers who do really well are rewarded by having real chance of getting last survivor insted of beiing forced into standoffs.

Changes in meta are necessary and they are inevitable. Dead by Daylight is a LIVE game and what does LIVE game means? It lives, changes and evolves.
We adjust balance primarily for the health of the game and to match our design intentions. There is no injustice or organized attacks on a side or the other, we care about the PLAYERS as a whole.
The changes we make might have a direct impact on your playstyle and might require you to change the way you play the game; adaptation is the key here. Find new ways to face the issues, find a new perk that could help you out, see it as a challenge. If you don't want to do that... well that's on you, ultimately, changes will happen that's the reality of a live game.

I'm kind of split by your explanation of how changes work.
If adaptation is key, as someone who plays both sides I've adapted to many of the changes you guys have presented, but didn't think this perk was such a big deal, so why the need to change it?
You hit it right on the nail with that last statement, but it needs to apply to both sides not just one or else it becomes a double standard. This is Ash's strongest perk so you can see why it becomes a big deal for some players who use it.

Okay as soon as I saw the MoM news I knew this would be coming. MoM is going to be changed so you have to do something to earn it. Not just “I got hit too many times, bonus” I’ve literally never played with this perk because of how broken it is. It’s not like it’s disappearing it’s just changing. Even with adrenaline you have to get all the gens up. With NOED you can break totems. MoM wasn’t healthy or balanced especially when combined with certain perks it can body a killer. I’m glad it’s changing. I basically main Ash right now, and I’m not disappointed. Also to those who say it’s ash’s best perk like I didn’t hear anyone saying that about Laurie when DS was changed... also I play Mikey and I’m not going to pretend DL, STBFL, or PWYF are useful for me (but are useful on other killers, like most perks, hence teachable)
It’s literally still going to exist. It’s just going to have prerequisites like every other powerful perk...

Sure even though I’ve seen killer mains agree with survivor perks buffs/QoL changes and I’m a survivor main who thinks this change is for the better. Both sides have their polarised posters sure but most on the forums are just over people complaining the second something is hinted at changing, they’re only testing it right now. Don’t pretend MoM was fair/balanced

It makes the lowest tier killers have to work that much harder. Those that are against MoM changes are uneducated in high rank play.

An extra 30 seconds of looping from 1 survivor that should have been done without MoM is huge. 30 extra seconds for each survivor, that's 3 gens being more than 33% complete, as the Wraith/Clown/Freddy shakes his head in dismay. MoM gives you an extra "life" which is a pretty monumental. You shouldn't just be handed it, you should have to earn this advantage. If Deliverance did not require an unhook to be able to unhook yourself on the 1st hook, would you still say it was fair and balanced? Its the exact same situation. No one in their right minds would defend that, why are there people out there defending MoM? Because they have had success as killer against it in any rank that is not specifically rank 1? Because they rely heavily on this crutch and don't want to lose their extra free life?
Cool dudes, keep crying over the loss of MoM. You same people that threw sand in Legion mains faces when he got adjusted. That was a good move and so is this. Any reasonable individual can see its much, especially for my poor Wraith/Clown/Freddy.

What goes around comes around. Over-zealous feedback ruined legion to be extremely unfun to play as, being incredibly slow now. While I’m glad deep wounds is in now way shape or form exploitable, the rest of the nerfs don’t at all feel necessary. He’s slow and it’s sucks.
Now the same thing is happening to MoM, it was deemed annoying before anyone tried to learn it’s counters. Not that MoM actually has any counters besides a bypass via billy chainsaw. Tolerance for these perks is low because killers keep getting nerfed without any compromises. Poor pig is now 100% unable to use her traps to apply pressure. Legion, while moonwalking thankfully has been eliminated, now feels sluggish and slow and it’s unbearably uncomfortable. Now MoM will get the same exact treatment.

All I can say is [ Borrowed Time ] better bloody trigger MoM pip progression post nerf otherwise what's the point of taking it if your supposed to put yourself in front of the Killer to protect your allies while rescuing.
And before this nerf goes live fix Killers being able to abuse Sneak Attacks to bypass triggering MoM pip progression. In fact make it so EVERY type of M1 hit triggers it or the perk just becomes so situational it's not worth taking.
As a 'nice to have' if you've progressed MoM to rank 3 the next M2 (or one shot M1 hit) that would have downed you gets absorbed.

@not_Queen If what you say about live games and adapting is true, then how come the killers who are crying don't adapt? I main Trapper and I adapted. MoM hardly effects me at all. Much less than pallet looping and other meta perks. Heck, when you look at it, MoM is not even that good of a perk. I never find any perks that work only once in a match to be that useful. That's why I never ran the old DS when I used to play survivor. Use it once, and it is no good. I prefer perks that keep giving me a benefit as killer or survivor.
In the big scheme of things, MoM is a weak perk and I never really ran it on the few occasions I played survivor. I find survivor to be nearly insufferable anymore. It used to be fun, but the changes now shoehorn survivor activities into M1, pallet loop, and leave. And now, I don't count "living" as fun in the game. That's why I went to killer and have stayed there ever since.
Perhaps you give it more time for the crybabies on this forum, which represent a very small fraction of the actual killers in the game, to adapt to the perk and realize it is a joke.

Oh well when the nerf rolls out I'll just go back to rocking Blendette with Alert + Spine Chill and go ultra immersed toxic stealth mode so all good.
