Killers should NOT be rewarded BPS for EGC if no Exit Gates are open.
Killers are utilizing the new EGC in a very unpleasant and UNINTENDED way.
Killers are closing the hatch and then playing Monkey in the Middle with the Survivor until the EGC kills them.
Basically, the Killer extends the trial/game for no reason other than to troll and abuse the newly implemented game mechanic.
Thus, I propose that if there are no Exit Gates open and the Survivor dies by EGC, then the Killer shall not be rewarded any Bloodpoints.
This will heavily discourage the temptation to troll.

What if the survivor has unbreakable?

Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the three years of Survivor holding the game hostage indefinitely.

Seriously, I play survivor a lot and this hasn't happened to me even one single time, not even in the first days after the EGC patch.

So survivors taking games hostage for hours is OK but being "forced" to wait 3 minutes tops until the next game isn't?
Those double standards, yo.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

You already get less BP from an egc kill. Unless you mean the killer gets 0 bloodpoints total in which case that's a stupid idea

A monumentally stupid idea
I think OP is referring to killers intentionally not ending chases to get more Hunting category bloodpoints: running after survivors (that in turn are just gonna run around the same pallet / vault over and over) but not attacking to not give the survivors the movement speed boost they get when you hit them. OP wants killers to not get bloodpoints for the entire duration that the endgame timer is active (= EGC) to encourage ending the game faster. This is obviously a bad idea which becomes even worse when you consider that survivors will then just extend the game as long as possible to drag out the amount of time that the killer doesn't get any points for

Poor.... Poor... Poor... OP
You have failed to see the glory that is before your eyes.
The Collapse has brought forth with it, a new mini game within Dead By Daylight.
We first had the Chat, then the Forums... we also have the Game itself.... And now... The EGC. The End Game Challenge.
What Challenge you ask?
Simple... As Killer.. Kill 3 rabbits in your match.... Then hold the last one until the Entity eats them. Pretty simple right! But you need to record your challenge.. and make sure the last rabbit is thanked for their participation in this glorious event.
As Survivor... Your challenge will be to last survivor, with at least 1 gen left, and no gates opened before the Killer closes the hatch to begin the challenege. Will the rabbit make it out.. or not?... That is the challenge.
Remember everyone...

This. Thank you.

If they consciously extend the match like that, i highly doubt they do it for the BP, which is already less than just hooking btw.
This won't stop anything.

Playing smart to accomplish a goal is not trolling.
Initiating a 2 minute countdown isn't extending the game for no reason.

Just happened 1 out of 3 games I played right quick... lol

I get what you mean, we could do with an option to just end it when you are down and the last person. Killer gets the bloodpoints and sacrifice and the next game comes quicker.
To the people saying "survivors took the game hostage for years" not every survivor did. That's just as bad as the people who say all killers lagswitch or they all abused legions mechanics. It's that kind of attitude that got legion nerfed hard. A lot of us just want the same as you.

@NeaJovovich the screenshot speaks clearly about the real issue: disconnects. The fact that a killer can troll and prolong the game BY THREE MINUTES TOPS in the EGC may be annoying, but MUCH better than the previous situation where survivors could prolong it INDEFINITELY.
What you describe is really a non-problem. Yes, in this game the killer has the opportunity to gain an upper hand over you, in some cases so much that he can do with you as he pleases. It's by design.
