PS4 so every game is an SWF, but that's not the hell. I'm playing Hag, and CONSTANTLY GETTING THE FRIGGIN CORN FIELD. DELETE THIS DAMN CORN. I mean not really delete it but it's terrible playing as the hag with all this damn corn. It's all I friggin see.

    Over the last few days I've seen a lot more of that cornfield then I really want to - and I like that map. I'd love to see a bit more variety.

    I had 2 where I killed 2 early(of course one disconnected when I picked them up in both), and then it took me like an hour of playing trying to find the other two on one, and like 30 minutes on the other. The gens were pushed up where I could moniter them all, I just couldn't see any of them because they were all crouching in the corn and I was Hag so I couldn't see #########. Each game one was a Claudette too. I ended up 4king on both, it just took me an hour on one, and 30 minutes on another trying to find them and patrolling gens.

    That's why I think maps in the game should be somehow revamped/changed. Some maps directly favor one side - Killer/Survivor, but even if the map is killer-sided, it doesn't really mean that evey Killer will perform well at this map. Coldwind might be perfect for the Hillbilly, but horrible for the others. Lery's is great for stealth killers, but terrible for Nurse/Hillbilly etc. I would be able to give even more examples on that, but we all know how it looks.

    Believe me or not, but you aren't the only one affected by the corn blindness, its a very common disease and the only known way of preventing it are the map offerings.

    The map randomization is frustrating at times as both killer and survivor. You gave some good killer examples, and there are more maps that favor or hinder certain killers for sure.

    From a survivor side too playing Game or Lerys against the Dr is just annoying and not even fun. Playing Haddonfield with Balanced Landing makes the perk 100% better it feels. I guess that's part of the fun but it's also super frustrating when every factor seems to go against you in one game.

    It's especially annoying when you know you're likely gonna 4k, but the game just drags out forever because they're just crouching in the corn and healing each other when they get hit, or have self-care. I was thankful one game where I managed to get an Adam because I could see his coat in the corn no matter what, got him in the basement and then everything was easier because they were coming to me.

    I've actually come to like this map as a killer.

    Tip for those who can't find survivors in the corn: climb one of the tractors and look in the general direction you know the survivor to be, the corn will move even if they're crouching. I've caught a few Claudettes (and others) this way.

    Try bringing in a map offering for one you wouldn't mind? I've been seeing The Game multiple games in a row and whenever I see it's the snow map, I die a little bit inside. Auras are really hard to see on that map.

    I am certifiably corn blind so I feel your pain. I always wanna D/C when I get Coldwind maps.

    It’s a shame when you feel a certain sense of dread when you get a certain map. Dread comes over me when I get Coldwind, Ormond, or Yamaoka. Only map I feel dread as a survivor is Shelter Woods. I feel like nobody likes Lery’s unless you are Scratch Mirror Myers.

    @Marcavecunc

    I tried that when I was playing, but I was playing Hag and couldn't see OVER the tractor, and when I'd just get a little bit of height, I felt like I didn't have enough height.

    @fluffybunny I was using puddings, and I didn't think I'd get it several games in a row.

    @MegMain98

    I actually don't mind Lery's as Survivor. It's a little cramped, but at the same time the doors are in totally opposite directions, so if it ends up being a hatch game and the killer closes the hatch, and I know which door is the closest to the killer(which is the one they usually go for), I can go for the one farthest away, giving me a free escape where on another map it'd be a complete loss for me. Yamaoka for me is just kinda eh. It's an "I'll take it" but not a "Hell yeah!" for either killer or survivor for me. It's kinda small so as killer I feel a little okay with it, and as Survivor there are okay places to hide if I know where the killer is coming from. Ormond as you said is definitely one that I hate. I can barely find my hexes on that map as killer before they're gone. Really the only map I completely dread is Coldwind though. That corn is hell, especially when I'm playing Hag because I'm not tall enough to look over it so my screen is basically 95% yellow.

    @DudeDelicious

    The problem is, I had 2 survivors left in those games, and I'd hit one, they'd get away and self-care, or heal each other, then I'd go looking for them, hit another, they'd get away, repeat until FINALLY I managed to down one, close the hatch, and force the other to go for the door in the first game. The second game I can't remember because it only took me 30 minutes instead of an hour, so the hour one is more prominent in my mind, but I managed to 4k in both, it just took a REALLY long time because of self-care and them healing each other in the corn. A 15 minute game can be fun, but a 30-60 minute game is just torture. I was actually hoping they'd just get the gens done and leave but at the same time I didn't want them to win just because they could crouch in corn and I couldn't see them. I had one I saw pass by, did a double take, and lost again. I knew where they were going, it was just hard finding them, so I'd try to get higher ground, but that didn't help either, I could just go and stop them, they'd run off while I was cleaning myself after a hit and then we'd be right back where we started. If I was taller I could see the corn move, and I would hear them sometimes, and look around for them, but I could never find them.

    I propose a new addon for Hag (and Pig, and maybe some others): Periscope.

    Would help out a lot in corn and the swamp.

    Corn hasn't been...too bad for me as Killer but I have noticed a HUGE increase to getting Corn Maps as both Survivor and Killer. Sometimes 2-3 times in a row, it's kinda ridiculous

    If you have corn blindness, play 10-20 matches in a row in the corn and start looking for the odd colors. I absolutely hated playing in it while I was running my Hag up to P350, then a Survivor suggested I use all my Coldwind offerings and learn it better. You need to learn to differentiate the colors and find those oddball colors (Survivor clothing) that "almost" blend into it.

    Once you can pick that out, start looking at the tops and bottoms of the stalks instead of in the middle. Don't look for movement (that has never helped me), but look for colors. You will be surprised at how much easier it is if you have serious corn blindness.

    I still lose people in the corn, but nowhere near as often as I used to. I absolutely love catching that slightly off color out of the corner of my screen, turning and taking a healthy chunk out of a crouching Claudette. You can almost feel the jumpscare. Especially if you walk slightly past them, then turn and take a swipe. Pure joy and satisfaction.

    @Mringasa Yeah I was trying to see the colors that weren't in the corn but it was really hard. Perhaps I do need to play that map like 20 times in a row, sadly I don't have that many coldwind offerings. The issue mostly occurred after hitting them the first time. I'd try to find them but they could get so far away and there's so much corn it was impossible to find them the second time to the point they could self-care back up a health state before I'd find them again.

    For real. The Game and Lery's straight up take away a large part of Spirit's ability to track (grass). Also, her footsteps on hard floors tend to drown out the survivor's footsteps.

    I don't know if this will help but I've found that running the combo of Bloodhound and Sloppy Butcher has helped me track down people in the corn as Legion. The bright red stands out against the yellow corn.
