Unpopular Opinion: Killer Falling
Killers should be stunned like survivors when they land from a fall.

Why?

They don't suffer from stun...
2 -
Yeah, no

You cannot expect to get positive reactions when you ask for only a slight Killer Nerf.
The only time when I wonder about it is when they carry a Survivor, because routes to Hooks can be cut quite easily. But I dont think that it does matter that much, overall.

Unpopular opinion indeed. Can't tell if serious or just trying to farm the down votes.

The problem with this idea is that perks like balanced landing that reduce the stagger turns maps like disturbed ward turn into absolutely horrendous loops and against some killers - literal infinite loops.
This idea would only make this problem worse on already problematic maps and would be unnecessary. Ontop of this when a killer falls from a height they also move way further away than a survivor does due to their higher movement speed which already puts enough distance between the killer & survivor as it is.

Balance Landing ^^
3 -
Balanced Landing already turns several maps into infinites are you want to slow down Killers after falling?
How about no? There is a reason Survivors got a stagger from falling and Killers did not.
6 -
Yeah that's a no from me
2 -
No
3 -
Killers not being staggered from falls make no sense.
3 -
@thrawn3054 survivors not being killed on the spot by a chainsaw makes no sense.
10 -
Lmao, oh hell naw. Back to the Fog with you
2 -
@TreemanXD True.
3 -
If you want realism, let's have all survivors take only one hit to be put in the dying state. Chainsaws are instant death. No more hooks - killers can kill survivors on the spot. No more on-hit sprint burst. No more killer slow after an attack.
Need I go on?
3 -
Mildly off topic, but a realism game mode would be interesting.
1 -
Okay, now you people are getting way too defensive. It makes mo sense for survivors to be staggered when killers aren't.
2 -
@lasombra1979 it’d honestly be funny to see. XD Pallet camping/Billy Meta.
1 -
Only for the very top survivors. Everyone else would hate it because it'd basically be a slaughterfest.
1 -
I could see it more as a KYF feature than a ranked trial feature. Won't happen but would lead to interesting matches.
1 -
You do know that would make some loop areas a complete nightmare for Killers right. In fact some areas like the Asylum might actually just become Infinites
1 -
How about fall damage from survivors? Y'know, the humans who fall from ridiculous heights no problem and don't even take damage. -1 health state based on fall distance from survivors who fall from great heights (this damage can down them as well).
Would also get rid of a lot of balanced landing cheese and other tile exploits.
2 -
If killers can have a perk like Balanced Landing a gain a 150% sprint for 3 seconds, hell yeah lol
Imagine the survivors not running Balanced Landing lol
2 -
Killers are stunned enough.......... especially if you play legion
1 -
How about: survivors should be stunned like killers when hit by something.
3 -
Yea well I want to drop pallets on survivors and stun them.
3 -
You mean it will make them balanced? You are not entitled to free kills.
0 -
You aren't entitled to free escapes
1 -
"infinites = balanced"
"downing a survivor in a chase = free kill"
2 -
Wanting maps to be balanced has nothing to do with wanting free kills.
Maps like Wretched Shop, Ironworks of Misery, Disturbed Ward, Haddonfield, Preschool, Grim Pantry & Ormond for instance have absolutely atrocious loops and of these maps, all but Wretched Shop can be turned into near infinite loops (or an actual infinite in the case of Haddonfield) with balanced landing alone, a stagger for killers would turn all but one of these maps into actual infinite loops with no opportunity to mindgame them meaning that nobody would ever be able to catch those survivors under any circumstances.
Understand that fixing these maps to not be problematic would also mean the removal of bloodlust which is a win for everyone. Rather than add problematic aspects that worsen current problems we should look to fix what issues we already have.

Killers are supernaturally empowered by the Entity. If you want to argue sense, it makes no sense that survivors are still alive after being hit with a chainsaw.
1 -
Every competent killer knows when to drop the chase.

Killer has Enduring, which is meta anyway, that should be a perk to remove the stagger effect similar to Balanced landing.
I always found it strange that killers were unaffected by falling but survivors where, when the design was supposed to be that Killers move faster, but Survivors are more agile.

I always found it strange that survivors can wiggle once they have been hit several times with a chainsaw...
3 -
This would mean that enduring would become an actual requirement to have a reasonable match on already problematic matches. The last thing we need is to make perks mandatory to run.
The problem with the idea of giving killers a stagger effect is the following two points ;
- This would turn already bad maps into actual infinites if those bad maps had drop-offs.
- The killer already moves faster than survivors meaning that when they fall they move much further than a survivor does. Assume this is at a structure then what this would do is allow survivors turn right into the structure all while the killer loses more and more distance which ties into the issue above.
