Drop Survivor Glitch

Recently, I've been encountering an issue where when I go to drop a survivor, instead of them being dropped they break free. I know it wasn't them breaking free because each time it happens, I ask them if they filled the wiggle meter, and they've always said no.This is keeping me from getting survivors to hooks that are barely out of reach from the first pick up, and it needs to be fixed. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue?

I wonder if it has something to do with them being close to wiggling out.

When you drop them they recover part of their wiggle bar.. so maybe it is when that recovery is applied?

so they may wiggle to 80 or 90 percent then you dropping cause it to fill, and instead of the hitting the ground they escape.

I think that is what could be happening... someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's related to them being close to wiggling out, cause this only ever happens when I've been carrying a survivor for a while. I know when you pick up a survivor every time after the first time their wiggle bar will be more filled than before, but I thought that would be triggered by the pick up and not by the drop itself.

The "drop" action adds 30 or 33% to the wiggle bar progress meaning you might be inadvertently filling the bar for them when trying to drop them after awhile.

I'm 100% positive that dropping adds to the bar progression I just can't recall if it 30 or 33%.

Each time you drop a survivor their wiggle bar fills by 33%, so if you drop someone with 70% or more, they will break free of your grasp. But I'm not totally sure.

It's intended. Otherwise, you'd be able to pick them up and drop them infinitely. It was added because people were abusing that, actually.

it is not actually a set percent of the bar, iron grasp adds more drops before they stand up

It's intended. If you carried them too long and they are close to wiggling free, you can't drop them anymore without releasing them.

Thanks for clearing that up. That being said, I hate this feature and I think it makes no sense. I get that it was put in place to counter toxicity, but I think it removes some tactical decision making from people who have legitimate reasons to drop survivors when the wiggle bar happens to be at a high percentage.

When you drop a survivor the wiggle meter goes up a substantial amount. Most likely they were close to wiggling free, even if they weren't wiggling at that point if you drop them they will get free.

That said, if you just picked them up, then dropped them, and they got free just a second later that's definitely a glitch.

As for tactical decision making, that's exactly it. It's a balancing feature that allows survivors to do their own tactical decisions in order to save teammates.

It's definitely not a second later, it happens the moment I press the drop button. I'm not entirely sure how wiggling would be a tactical decision for survivors though, I figured it was just kinda a given.
