Is Legion actually OP or Weak

I've been getting horribly confused lately. I love to play the legion, enjoy the play style and feel of it. Anywhere you go to look online, most sources agree that legion is one of the worst characters in DBD. I refuse to believe this however and see the strong points in the character. In playing many of my games, (mainly if i have done good), i get a lot of negative feedback saying how the character is broken to play against and requires no skill involved towards it. The views just don't add up here so i'm not sure how the world truly sees this character ranks. My playstyle involving this character at the moment is based much on using the advantages of holding a survivor. Keep in mind, i like this play style since i thought it up and I have got to 12 this season so far of maining him/her. I run Iron Maiden, (which might change but the notification of survivors exiting a locker is nice), Iron Clasp to increase my hold time with a survivor and the strafing effects, Agilitation to increase movement speed, and Mad Grit to allow to quick injuries/downs and increase the delay of wiggle. The playstyle is turning out to be very effective which prevents rescues and catches players off guard when i get aggressive while holding a teamate. Until it doesn't work, I will keep using it. If anyone can respond to this with information of how the Legion is truly ranked vs. comptitors, whether not it takes some skill to play, and whether my playstyle/loudout seems to be either a bad/good idea, please don't hold back. (Honest feedback please, keep this civilized)

That build can definitely catch people off guard and do some legit damage. Very few run it outside of meme purposes. Survivors may start to adapt to that once you get beyond rank 10, but I would suggest just sticking to what you find fun. If you really care about ranking up with Legion, you may need to switch to Ruin, Thanataphobia, Enduring, Spirit Fury at some point. But honestly, I think survivors will appreciate the variety with your Mad Grit build.

One of the things i find enjoyable is doing things that aren't the "meta". I love to experiment around and try to find new ways things can work in-game and enlighten others about my findings.

    Band wagon opinion =

    Nurse Billy = good

    Spirit hag = ok

    Freddy legion = bad

    Everyone else = meh

Don't listen to what the band wagon says, play what's fun, play what you find good. This is coming from a Freddy main.

Legion is amazing for my playstyle. I love hag and him bc they function differently. Sometimes I have to let up on survivors playing w him bc he applies so much pressure with his speed. There’s no one who hangs out on an gen when Thomas the Tank Engine is flying towards them at Mach speed lol he can out loop and injure, causing players to heal. The only mistake I see killers making w him is chasing for too long or not using Feral for info/pressure/constant injury as opposed to using it to down/tunnel survivors.

Pros for Legion- gen pressure, constant injury that requires immediate attention (not like an M1 where they can just go off injured and not heal/jump on a gen) basically if you smack 2 survivors w FF you have a ton of time to find the others, and use M1 on them.

there are perks like Beast of Prey and Dark Devotion that take away his terror radius causing survivors to bleed out while in chase... making him a near one down killer.

He’s actually pretty scary bc of that speed, gen hook and map pressure is relatively easy on large maps and his Frenzy shows through the corn on CWF maps

palettes. Getting stuck in an infinite is kinda not possible using legion correctly. Can’t catch them? Frenzy, vault the pallet and run to another survivor, knock as many off a gen as possible, down and hook one, destroy the infinite/safe pallet. Legion is very hard to loop. (Even as a rank 2 survivor)

cons: the 4 sec cooldown and tunnel vision effect. When this cooldown is on you need to move the camera and try to stay on survivors and collect as much visual and sound info as you can in chase. A stupid survivor will t-bag and waste their time to get away though, so... not too much of a problem.

Red Ranks. Yes he’s viable. No he’s not at the top of the list. Red ranks will gen rush w out slowdown perks. Legion can apply pressure yes but with enough decent loopers your power can get rendered useless. Legion needs a solid perk build and strat in red ranks
