A Question for Members
Who here tries to be as unbiased as possible, but knows they are still biased/sound/look biased?
I know I fail to be unbiased. But I try anyways, what about you guys?
And no, this doesn't accomplish nothing, but I wanna see your responses. And have something lighthearted instead of all these: "Nerf this/that" or "This and that are op".

I've played enough of both sides to try and look at things from both perspectives and try to be unbiased...... but I always still seem to gravitate towards the killer sided point of view since I see it as the harder and more stressful role and play survivor to relax since it is so much easier.

It's impossible to be completely unbiased.

I don't think anyone is completely unbiased here, anyone who does is usually lying or nuttier than a hamsters turd.
While i do try to consider the perspective of survivors i still usually gravitate for either Killers or high rank gameplay in general.

I don't think anyone here can be truly unbiased unless they play both sides in red ranks regularly. You really have to experience both sides at the cutting edge to have a more clear view of what is or isn't balanced.
That's an opinion that a lot of people on here don't like because it will exclude many of them, but I think it's true. People don't want to believe they could be wrong.

@Blueberry @ChesterTheMolester
Which is why I have the phrase 'As Unbiased as Possible'. Much as I wish it so, I know no one can be truly unbiased. But some people can accept when they're wrong.
But I do wanna know if you both think you're generally unbiased in terms of killer and survivor gameplay. Or if you think one side is better then the other (I doubt people would admit that actually, now that I think about it).

There’s bias in everything; you can’t fix that. The best thing is to look at post objectively, and answer to the best of your ability.
I try my best to play both sides; I play a lot of Spirit and Huntress, and I main Jane and Kate on the survivor-side of things.
Topics as such as “SWF Treatment” cannot be looked at without bias— as truly it’s a matter of opinion. There’s data about SWF, but that is... completely up to interpretation. Rather than using relative experience in my case, I try my best to base my opinions on facts. I can be a bit survivor sided, and both sides’ claims can be very outlandish, the standoff-ish nature of this game is due to the fact that when you play it, you usually like one side more than the other.

I play both Killer and Survivor.
However, at brown ranks I don't understand what most of the fuss on these forums are, and I am a relatively bad survivor, but decent killer. As even though Brown Ranks killer currently, I did manage to get to green ranks on killer 3 times, while survivor never have.
Because I play both, I see both points. Because I am bad survivor, I am naturally survivor biased, despite playing more killer. As I see survivor harder, because I escape less than I can get 4ks.

I used to always be biased towards survivors side since developers keep nerfing them to oblivion but im starting to see why
Ive been playing a lot of killer recently and even with ruin survivors still gen rush like hell it is pretty ridiculous how fast gens can get done

That's probably me, yeah.
I truly want it to be balanced, but i can't help but love buffs for my Wraith.
While most can probably agree buffs on the current him wouldn't hurt the overall balance, i wonder if i would ever stop liking buffs for him.

"Or if you think one side is better then the other"
Are you referring to in terms of game balance or in terms of one side being less biased?
"But I do wanna know if you both think you're generally unbiased in terms of killer and survivor gameplay"
I genuinely believe I am. I literally play both sides at rank 1 regularly and I play almost every day, all day (too much probably). I'm on the receiving end of both sides regularly. My survivor play is also 99% solo so i'm also comparing it at the worst side of it.

As I’ve been told before, I’m a biased survivor main and a biased killer main. Jokes aside the least biased imo is Killermainbtwm8

I do believe in fact that survivors have an serious advantage over Killers if played efficently. I did try to look for solutions that only affect them, or atleast affect them harder than the majority. Like increasing gen regression to punish splitting up, buffing weaker Killers and offer viable alternative for Ruin (PGTW and Huntress Lullaby would fill these spots if buffed properly). I also saw how BHVR failed to do anything about it except for the Surveillance rework, which gives some Killers atleast somewhat of a fighting chance.

@Watery Words to live by. I agree with you on that matter. Though we all know SWF is a hot topic and will usually bring out the most bias of us.
@TheGameZpro3 There is nothing wrong with that sort of seeing :) Not here to judge, though there is nothing to judge.
@legion_main Given your name I find it surprising XD Buuuuut, with all that, I guess you sit on killer bias?

@Blueberry Game balance, I know the answer to who thinks the other is better or not 🤣
@ChesterTheMolester I will tentatively agree with your posts. I am of the belief that no one is entitled to winning. But some perks DO need to be brought up to better standards. Weaker killers need to be brought up, though, if we do that, I don't think survivors should be nerfed hard.
@TreemanXD Pft. You're pretty chill. From what I've seen you look like a survivor main, but I don't know what you actually align yourself with. @KillermainBTWm8 is obviously a biased killer main >_> /Jk

@Shad03 its because before I played killer about 40% of the time at night because thats the only time I can get survivors instantly and I would play survivor during the day only
but I have been playing a lot more killer (about 60% of the time) and got to a high rank and I see why people complain a lot it honestly didn't seem like a problem before they first made ranking system harder (I would always be rank 1 on both sides) but now im at about rank 8 as killer and I get some sweaty ass survivors all running BT, MoM, Self Care, Dead hard all that kind of stuff and it feels like I have to play billy to actually destroy them
So in short terms yes im sitting on the killer bias

I played mostly killer but from time to time i play survivor. In all my responses I take the Killer's and Survivors in consideration. And I try to provide logic and reasoning behind all my posts and comments.
But people still try to classify me as a:
"Survivor Main"
Which is in fact false. When I bought the game I only played the Killer for 99% of the time. Now it's about either 75% or 50% of the time.
and as my Forum name states the first DLC I bought was the Halloween DLC.
So I just don't understand why people try to call me out on something I'm not?
I just try to bring logic into the matter and tbh when I was a killer 99% of the time the old D.S. wasn't impacting me, and I used to think it sucks that it got nerfed. Now I just don't care, about Nerfs unless the nerf is too powerful and breaks the balance for the Survivor.
So Like I stated above all my points are about Logic and Reason. And as a killer I see the survivor's struggles, especially with NOED and how the old D.S kinda combated all the 1 Hit Downs. Now M.o.M is getting a nerf that might break the perk. -shrugs- but what do I know? I'm just a "Survivor Main" lol. (Enters Sarcasm).
But yeah lol I try to go 50-50 and I make long posts like this explaining myself with logic and reason ;)

"Logic" and "Reason" are not things considered when humans talk to you.
I understand you though :D

@Shad03 normally I’m a 50/50 player but I recently got bored of killer, not because I couldn’t win but overall I sometimes just get bored of killer. If I’m being honest I haven’t been in the red ranks since we had the old pip system.
I generally play at green ranks since I like playing other game too and honestly green ranks fits my skill level.

@TreemanXD I feel ya, I'm not playing as much as I used too. So I'm a ex-rank 1.
I play mostly killer, about 80% of my games. But you can still see my trying to advocate for survivors every while.

Both sides played very well I think the game is quite heavily in survivors favor, even if they're all solo's. It isn't even close.
SWFs just exacerbates the imbalance even more, but it would still be unbalanced regardless.
There are obviously some small exceptions to this like Nurse but generally speaking. Any M1 killer is getting absolutely destroyed against an equally skilled group of randoms.
To give it even more perspective, you could let the M1 killer use any perks with all survivors running zero perks and he would still get wrecked. So you can see how unbalanced it is when you also throw a DS, MoM, Adrenaline, BT/DH/BL onto each survivor as well. This is because the core of the imbalance comes from bad map design.
This is assuming all sides are playing very well, IE a rank 1 match with no boosted potatoes. The reason we don't see this happening ALL the time is because there are a ton of boosted potatoes.
When any of the M1 killers are destroying it's because the survivors just played very poorly.
The frustrations the two sides are getting here are different though. When you lose as survivor it's because either you or your team played badly, IE low ranks or just potatoes in general. When you lose as the killer it generally has nothing to do with you, the survivors just didn't mess up.
As survivor you can fix this frustration by getting better at the game or getting better teammates, IE there IS a solution to the problem.
As killer there is no fix, which is why it's especially frustrating. Unless the survivors play badly you just lose. There's nothing you can do except decide to play Nurse.
Like I said this is assuming both sides are playing very well. The game is balanced around low ranks and assuming that the survivors will play badly, IE where all the second chance perks come from that get abused by survivors that don't make mistakes.

I try to be as unbiased as I can and typically avoid things that I have no experience with.

I play mostly survivor (70/30) and have been red rank survivor and up to rank 5 killer (but tend to lose interest at high purple ranks because killer becomes a chore, I tend to fall into purple ranks regularly as both if I play normally- 4-6 times a rank season for 6h-8h sessions divided into that 70/30 ratio) I agree with the above, with killer being the more stressful role and going up against 4 people and having to outplay all of them, I feel I come across as killer biased even though a majority of my play time is as survivor. It really depends on the topic, pipping and general bp gain I think is more messed up for survivors as they have to play every role despite the situation of the match and this depends on the killer and teammates more than individual performance (but gatekeeper and chaser are also messed up on the killer side) but balance is more messed up for killers especially since they fall into tiers and some become inherently weaker against higher skilled survivors and a lot of survivor sided things can be abused to destroy certain killers while survivors are a pick and play the same mostly.

Life itself is biased.
The point is not going all the way to the "hard-head" state.
3 -
Biased: (Survivor Perspective)
I think camping is a stupid, no skill tactic to gain sacrifices.
Biased: (Killer Perspective)
Camping is decent, because it guarantees sacrifices in situations where it's impossible to win another chase (gates opened).
Unbiased: (Both Perspectives)
While camping is annoying, it's necessary in certain situations. It's best to bring perks to counter it such as Borrowed Time or Kindred. If the killer is camping mid match, try your best to rush generators since a camping killer gives every survivor free roam of the map.

I try to remain as unbiased as possible. I used to be a Survivor main but now it''s closer to 50/50.
I take neutral stances on most things in this game and try to see both point of views because I have a deep understanding of both, along with knowing the history of this game.

while i started as a heavily killer sided member, i do believe i have changed quite a bit in favor of overall balance.
still, i can see myself supporting many killer buff ideas. i also regulary visit the killer subforum, yet the survivor subforum is something im not visiting a lot.
i try to be as unbiased as possible though

I try to see both sides but I am biased to killer.

I am not biased to one side but I can come accross as biased depending on the topic of discussion.

I try to be unbiased but I'm honestly not sure. You tell me, am I biased or not?

I try to be unbiased, but some people here strike me as the type to accuse people whose apartments are burning down of being biased against others who have leaky roofs.

I've played this game of both sides an equal amount of time and reaching rhe same rank for both. I started as Survivor and played a fair bit before trying Killer and then reached a point where I play both, in a back n forth manner.
I can honestly say I prefer the design, concepts and aspects of Killers more than Survivors. Love that they have abilities and pretty fun designed Perks....that said in practice Survivor ends up being more fun because of how less stressful the lows are as Survivor VS the lows of playing Killer.
I can honestly say my beliefs and opinions are fairly neutral amd not swsy too, drastically in one direction or the other. There are changes to one side I may fully embrace and cheer for, while a different change for the same side I am completely against and that this goes for changes made to BOTH sides.
