Almost every games at red ranks is against swf? also looks like the rank now actually matter
Killer experince at red ranks imho, is getting even worse, we're getting more survivors that actually know how to play the game and when those survivor are swf, with also the most crutches possible, it's getting really hard to get even 1-2 kills, the gameplay is really frustrating.. is it only me?

Oh no survivors that actually know what they are doing? I guess I should quit the game now

Well previously it was too easy to rank up which put a lot of potatoes at red ranks that shouldn't have been there. These potatoes are what made the games imbalance less noticeable. Now that "most" the potatoes have been kicked out, the imbalance is just more noticeable.

Well, yes. Most of the times competent SWF teams will be the ones ranking all the way up. The chances of going to R1 as a solo have decreased considerably.

Pick your most powerful add-ons. Use Ruin and NOED together. Also Spirit Fury/Enduring, or Sloppy/Thana. Any perk combo that is really strong. Equip Ebony mori. Play like a complete uncaring jerk. That's how you beat these high rank SWFs.
Talking from experience. You have to play dirty.

@thesuicidefox i guess you're right, even if i don't like to play dirt
@legion_main the previous rank one were almost everyone solo or boosted

Without trying to be rude, it just means you haven't actually gotten the chance to improve against competent survivors. The problem isn't SWF. The problem is people of a lower skill level facing them and suddenly being heavily outmatched for the first time.

@ClogWench Exactly same thing happened to me last night one game I play against potatoes then the next game I get competent tryhard survivors
its just hard to adjust right away

You are clearly playing wrong.
And if you get too frustrated, just take the official BHVR advice:

There is a limitation as a killer. U cant win against sweaty swf groups who don't care about ruin and finish gens in normal time while beeing optimal af with looping and not wasting pallets on a map like bloodlodge. Unless u play nurse, you will get stomped. Even as Billy, u can sometimes feel hopeless in such a situation. The only hope u can have is that ur opponents are making some mistakes and u are ready for it to punish that. Otherwise gg.

Yep, I've noticed it too. Not that it matters much anyway because queue times are so long.
But I understand why survivors do this.
It's far less stressful playing with reliable teammates than with trash randoms.
I just wish the devs would get serious about actually trying balance the game (which means addressing bad map design).

@ClogWench no problem dude, you are right, i guess now i have the chance to improve against better survivors... but it would really matter for the final result?
@Sythalin lmao

@Mister_Holdout @HavelmomDaS1 exactly, you guys got that point.. unlucky since i play on console even if i'm good with nurse, with her is not automatically gg, i don't even use omegablinks..

It's a vicious cycle.
I duo at max and dont use crutches / items / toxic offerings, but I still get booty blasted by powerful addons that killers feel they need to use to combat the toxic SWF's.

Like you said, ranks matter. If you can't hang with the best survivors in teams at the top, then you will go down to a rank where your skills are more appropriate.
The fact that groups need to be SWF to work at the top means that killers are too strong for solo survivors in general. So if a skilled killer goes down to the bottom ranks, it's overkill for normal solo survivors who don't have godly skills.
This looks about right.
There is definitely a balance issue but if people would stop deranking and let themselves play where they are supposed to it will get better. Also, devs need to fix the emblem/rank/matchmaking system.
Finally, I don't mind if SWF is taken out of the game, there's too much whining around it so I say good riddance let's get rid of it. I don't even use SWF except sparingly when the one friend in my friendlist actually also plays, which isn't that often.
That way we can finally balance the game properly.

I'd like to see the stats at Rank 1-4.
Saying that 4-mans approach even the majority sounds like a placebo. But I don't play red rank killer anymore, so I have no say.

@Mochan you are right, but i'd like to put it simple.. i can rank up or win the games against good swf... how? proxy camping and tunneling, since swf are too far altruistic.. even then it's not sure that i win or at least don't lose, since ds, bt and MoM are common.. the fact is that as killer every tiny mistake costs you an entire game, and this isn't a competetive game, that's where the unbalance is.. survivor got too many chances, doesn't matter if they do ######### up. Also there are 3-4 really good killers, and the rest are a joke, even if they play perfectly they can still lose.. Spirit fury was a nice buff for almost all killers, but against swf, is less useful, if they do know u got it, they don't drop the pallet, or they do earlier ..

So you think if the survivors play optimally and make no mistakes they should still lose?

I'm probably one of the best Billy player on PS4 ( i know curving , zoning , every advanced tricks) playing without ruin but sometime i fall on bad RNG maps then lose because of it. last i played macmillan with him (suffocation pit) there were two jungle gym and 4 t-wall next of each other (impossible to counter with chainsaw).
Crotus prenn , haddonfield , wretched shop are those even the best killers have to get looped all the way or cut the chase to be looped again with a different survivor.
Nurse won't be taken in those because she melt everyone. but M1 killers have to lose sometime due to bad RNG/design. As for viability Billy/nurse are the top one some will say spirit too but i disagree.
Why? because spirit is only good for three things (being unpredictable , prayer beads being one of those rare unbalanced add-ons , and have more pressure due to increased MS during phasing). If she was predictable (phasing during vault or mindgame) she wouldn't be such a threat.
I do hope Clown will be buffed soon enough he has the best potential to counter SwF due to bottle supposed to counter loops.

@xllxENIGMAxllx Yeah billy can still get looped af.. i can say i'm one of the best nurse on console since there aren't too many, but i have to deal with ######### fps sometimes, so i prefer playing something else.. example is Spirit.. she is probably better than billy against good survivors with no add ons, she is my one of my best choices after nurse, most consistent killer i play, the problem is that the sound is not optimal right now.. but you can be unpredictable in too many ways... when you get used to her, you either end the chase in 15 seconds, or 40, but that's it.. you can just stare at them, look what they do, if they run catch up, if they walk, looks the direction, sounds and catch up.. if there are windows they can fast vault then slow vault again as mindgame.. you need to have a quick mind and instinct, sometimes you need to stop and look around all with good tracking(that's why i think duration and speed add ons are really good with her).. spirit is not easy as everyone say if you meet good survivors and you are not using op addons, you could get ######### up badly, especially if they are not injured or they run iron will. Hag is another good choice. let's s hope for ghostface, the game needs something new

Also Billy it's much more easier to get used, only for this reason he may be more viable, if you are a good spirit you don't get looped. Look some Zubat and Scott rank 1 gameplay recently. Hag may be better too.
