pipping on billy unusually hard?
i've noticed that conditions which would easily result in pipping with most killers make you safety pip at most when playing billy, and from what i've seen i think it's because he gets punished unusually hard in the chaser emblem. basically, chases with billy are generally very short if he catches someone out in the open and even if they're near a loop a good billy ends chases quickly. i wonder if adjustments should be made in how emblems work and affect different killers so that ranking up with certain ones isn't unusually difficult
for example: i can get a 3k, with each killed survivor getting 3 hooked, and have the person who gets away be on death hook and still safety pip on billy, but on any other killer that's an easy pip

Adjustments should definitely be made. Trapper gets none for chasing most the time.

the problem billy has, is his oneshot.
usually, you get one succesfull chase for each hit you perform during a chase, so M1 killers get a total of 2 chases before they down a survivor. billy, thanks to his oneshot, only gets one succesfull chase, therefore only half the points other killers would get.
just as @Poweas said, multiple killers suffer from this. any killer using a oneshot ability / add on, but mostly Trapper.
Trapper gains no chaser emblem points at all for trapping a survivor, which leads to good Trappers getting a 3 or 4 kill and having a bronze chaser emblem, denying them their 2 pip / pip.

So rather than chainsawing them, I have to hit them and chase them?
That's a lot of time wasted.

@DudeDelicious Its not being overly reliant if it works. The game shouldnt punish killers for SUCCESSFULLY utilizing their power the way it was intended. This same problem is still present in gen-grabs for example. If i sneak up on a survivor working on a gen, should I wait til they notice me so I can engage in a long chase which requires 2 hits rather than just grab and hook them immediately? One way is WAY more efficient, but... doesnt count for ######### for emblems because its not considered a hit nor a chase.

Why do you want to rank up anyway? Enjoying long queue times?

@HazeHound The reason queue times are long in those ranks is BECAUSE people actively avoid getting to those ranks, weather that be to avoid the long queues that they themselves contribute to, or to face off against easier opposites, er...i mean less sweaty.

i don't, i just thought i'd point out that, for someone who does want to rank up (to play against friends who are high rank survivors, for example), certain killers are much better options than others for doing so
