I'm angry
I'm fine with that ghostface has no survivor and map, but why did they have to list it?
they called it "chapter 12"
all the chapters contain map and survivor and this "chapter 12" has none, it means that future chapters will not have a map and survivors ?

I think Ash was to make up for the lack of Survivor. Similar to Bill and Leatherface.

I know, I know...the developers seem to have forgotten the difference between a chapter and a paragraph . Before we go any further, developers , please clarify what constitutes a chapter and what constitutes a paragraph, so as to avoid any further confusion in the future.

Thats not true my friend @Peanits did comment on a post awhile back saying a chapter can refer to a solo character.

Ash was a chapter and a dev stated that a chapter can consist of only one character. Stop bringing salt to the forums because of a single word... "chapter." Especially since everything that has been labeled a "chapter" has been a stand alone LICENSED character, meaning it's a good bet that normal original characters will come out as all three things... Killer, survivor, map... and even once in a blue moon they put out something that is original and stand alone doesn't mean it will happen every time.

Except the Halloween and Elm Street "chapters" included a map and survivor , both of which were licensed.
EDIT forgot to add the Saw chapter to the list.

@TheShape78 and your point? Just because it happened twice doesn't mean it will happen every time. Don't you think its stupid to get upset over a word? It's just silly and no point of that. Paragraph... Chapter.... It doesn't matter its content and people should be happy about that.

I want them to call the release of a solo character a paragraph like they used to. Still excited. Just be more specific since they terms had already set definitions and now they are changing them. I respect needing more time with the game and not releasing 4 chapters every year. But dude, just call it a paragraph. It’s just going to disappoint people who have been playing the game for 3 years and know the difference between the two.

They can make that argument, but it's crap. It takes all three things to make a chapter. It's a paragraph otherwise. Which having a paragraph is fine. Just don't pretend it is what it isn't.

Yes, it is stupid to get upset over a word. My point is, since this game first released , it has always been well established that a 'chapter', whether it's licensed OR original , includes a map and survivor . 'Paragraphs' only include one character with their perks, but no map or survivor. Very simple. People are upset, because all of a sudden, the developers seem to have forgotten all that, and are now calling what is by all intents and purposes a 'paragraph'...a 'chapter' , even though we all know the difference between the two. The problem here is not the people, but the developers , because they have confused everyone. So, they need to clarify the difference again, in order to avoid this confusion in the future.

@TheShape78 Its not the devs it's the people. If they cant except the fact that a word can change meaning when it comes to a dlc of a video game than that's their problem and honestly need to get over themselves. It has nothing to do with being confused just stubborn and not wanting change.

I totally disagree. I already stated I’m not upset that they aren’t releasing a survivor and map with Ghostface. But it is ridiculous to use two specific terms for types of dlc, and then not make a formal announcement that one term isn’t being used anymore and the other term will be an umbrella term. I love behavior. But I still think it’s unprofessional to not just either keep the terms that they’ve set in place or make the change in definition more apparent.
its literally the team just being worried that people won’t be happy that they aren’t doing 4 Chapters, and now want to call paragraphs chapters to make it seem like nothing has changed instead of recognizing they can’t handle four actualized chapters with the other game changes they hope to introduce.
change is fine, more time needed is fine. Lack of transparency isn’t.

i already knew it was DLC. You're not helping helping them out, you’re just assuming people who want transparency are all angry.
Not mad, still love the game and I’m excited for and appreciate the content they are putting out this year
They still need to be more transparent.
Why do you think they changed the definition?
it’s not being stubborn, at least on my end I am just asking for them to be more specific and clear when they make changes to already established terms.

Considering its the 3 year anniversary release chapter, it is disappointing its not a full on chapter release of killer/survivor/map.
