Console Survivors Only. Question.
Have you seen an incredible increase in camping or tunnelling lately? Ranks 5-12? More than usual?
And an increase of NOED users? Is it just me?
I feel like I've been camped every other match and almost every game has been a NOED game.

Normal at that rank. At higher ranks you just get targeting or dodging.

It’s definitely felt more common lately. I had this problem a lot yesterday. I’m assuming it’ll only get worse if you’re on Xbox like me because of all the new players coming in for the next month with the free month.

it's no mystery to me. tunneling is necessity with the pip system the way it is, so tunneling is epidemic and will continue to be. i don't tunnel as killer and pay the price. i have not made it past rank 14 since the rework. i was rank 7 the season prior.

The only time I tunnel is BM survivors or if I run across the unhooked survivor while looking for the rescuer. Only time I camp is BM survivors or all gens are done.
To answer your question though, yeah I see a lot of it.

Tunneling and camping is super high in my games. Majority of Killers on PS4, in,my experience are bad and just insta camp the first person they catch. Doesn't always work in their favor..but potato teammates feed into it and it rewards that unfun and ######### tactic

very much so. in order for garbo tactics to work, a killer must have help from survivors. usually, not a problem.

Then I have no idea how if you have been playing since the beginning how ranking up is so hard. It's pretty easy as killer especially at your rank. The amount of bad killers you can get, even at red ranks just shows how easy it is.
Survivors usually aren't good at that rank. You can literally run really dumb builds as killer at that rank and still double pip.
The only way you will struggle to rank up is if your bad, camp or use mori's a lot.

Camping and tunneling happens so much i use my decisive strike almost every match. Its honestly a great perk if youre in those ranks. Im down to 5 now and i think the tunneling is decreasing so sometimes i take the risk of switching decisive for something else

Well as a solo survivor on xbox, found it a lot harder the last month.
Not just killer behaviour but also survivor. Lost count the number of 1 hook deaths I have had. Having to use kindred, and then not always helpful

The only time I see them camp is when it's a must or if they're pissed off.... a killer who's just not confident and resorts to camping at rank 5 shouldnt be there... rank 12...... eh yeah I can see that there still fairly inexperienced

I got used to it, but yes. If you don’t cleanse though, that NOED part is on you.

Camping is just a symptom of the genrush meta. You get 1 hook and 3 gens already popped well you get this strong urge to say f it and just camp the guy to death so you at least feel like you won something.

my experience has been that the higher i rank up as survivor, the greater the likelihood that i will be chased off the hook by a professional. very few streamers don't do this.

And yes, that's what I'm not used to. I watch pretty efficient streamers like Ardetha who shame tunneling and they, themselves, don't tunnel as a killer and do exceptionally well. That's why it's strange when I see it so often.

i can tell you're panicking but bringing up a conversation about tunneling and expecting advocates to come out of the woodwork is rather odd. you are correct about ardetha. ardetha and marth88 are two of the best killers i've seen.

i have run into 3 facecampers and even more tunnelers today so yeah it's common unfortunately. It just shows the killer is either very salty or just trash. usually the worst campers are leatherfaces and also i have seen alot tunneling spirits which makes me want to dc lol

I got camped by a Wraith last game and currently in rank 9. 😅
imo there are more campers in the green ranks than usual.

Yeah just got to rank 6 and honestly considering using DS and have started using BT. I’m also cleansing totems at the speed of sound because if they don’t have ruin, definite NOED, if they do? 70% chance of NOED...Although to be fair as killer at rank 12 I have had a surprising increase in people who hook farm in front of me or people who get off the hook running at me directly, I usually just slug them and move on, I feel bad taking someone out in 2 mins into the match especially if the team hasn’t even got a gen done (and I don’t even run ruin) and it creates pressure anyway, in hook farming cases I always go for the unhooker being a survivor main, hook farm in front of my face and I will end you. They tend to DC when I go for them too (especially if they led me to the hook with scratch marks while I’m ew3) because they expect the easy escape/to go immersed while the killer chases the poor injured guy.
Really doesn’t make much sense to me, tunneling is incredibly prevalent through most of the middle ranks. But I kind of understand though if they’re getting rushed and desperate for a kill, in saying that I still see it even if my “team” is failing miserably and can’t do a single ruin gen. I find pressure more useful than an outright kill of an easy target personally but each to their own. One bad teammate on the floor means one person off gens to help them.

I know they’re common at purple- red ranks, not surprising given the point of this discussion and feeling the need to have such perks to have a chance at surviving given how “aggressive” killers are at those ranks. I mean most are saying to get to rank 1 survivor your only hope is to be in a sweaty SWF at this point...
