DBD in current state....

It's not that bad. They take too long to do everything, but the devs have been pretty consistent about eventually getting around to dealing with most of the major problems that the game has.
I mean this year we are getting map redesigns, dedicated servers, a story mode, 4 new chapters, matchmaking improvements, optimization, a freddy rework, and more. Yeah ghostface is going to take a while to fix; but they will eventually fix him. The main problem I ever have with Bhvr is they just take soooooo long to do some of these things; but better late than never.

It's not just disappointing that they take forever to do things and typically release things full of bugs and glitches that should have been vetted prior to releasing. What bothers me is they got a free $1 million grant from the Canadian Media Fund and still struggle this much. Most game companies receive no money to get started and put out decent games, but these guys get a free million and still operate at this level.

I was unaware they got money from the Canadian media fund :O

Dead by Daylight is not the only game they make and have made. A lot of people only know Bhvr because of DBD; but I originally knew them for both Naughty Bear and WET. Right now DBD is STILL not the only game they work on; and they are pushing content out at an astonishing rate while doing a lot of behinds the scenes work to try and refactor code; so I am not that bothered by how slow they work sometimes. At least Bhvr is one of the few companies I fully trust to eventually make things right; which I can't say about most gaming companies.

You haven’t seen most game companies then. BHVR does fix issues, but I have never see a company continue to create as many or more issues than they fix.

It is however the only game that the DbD team is working on. There's not much cross game work amongst DbD team employees.

To my knowledge, Deathgarden was made by BHVR.
