Ghostface getting nerfed?
Been hearing a lot of people on youtube and Twitch talking about ghostface saying either hes going to be nerfed, or plz don't nerf.
Did the devs say anything about ghostface getting nerfed anywhere? Just seems to me GF seems to be in a good spot right now from what i seen of gameplay videos of current ghosty's PTB and am genuinely curious.

He just got buffed. Nerfing him makes no sense.
But then again, we're talking about behavior here. So it wouldn't surprise me.

I agree. Though i have not played him myself, from what i seen from youtube/twitch he seems to be pretty good after being tweaked a bit, and its why i am curious if he IS actually being changed again.

All the polls they did have 80%+ or more saying Ghostface changes = Good!

Seeing videos it seems that on the PTB there are very few good players so Ghostface often manages to get 4ks
I hope the devs don't ######### this up by needlessly nerfing him

Would be really ######### up if they did. Have all these people happy about the buffs, gets released, small nerfs, everyone gives them ######### again.

I think it's just down to people enjoying him as he is now and being worried of another Freddy situation. Which I doubt will happen anyway.

Well over 300 people on forums voted they like the changes so if they nerf him they would just show how they don't understand killer power design and also don't listen to our feedback. He's almost perfect right now so nerfing his is really bad idea.

Killers tend to get nerfed for some reason when they're out of PTB.

I doubt we will see much changes between current PTB build, besides bug fixes, when Ghostface comes out. And I don't think they plan to make additional tweaks or anything like that.

My only issue is bugs not letting survivors cancel his power. Other than that he's fine.

Having seen a few videos, sometimes being right behind Survivors who are looking at Ghost Face and not getting him out of Stealth Mode looks a little bit weird.
But overall, calling for Nerfs or further Buffs should only happen when he is live. PTB can show the obvious things when a Killer is clearly too strong or clearly too weak (like it was with the first version of Ghost Face). But the finetuning should only be done based on the Live Server, when people know how to play and play against Ghost Face.

Clearly survivor mains are voting yes too...otherwise it wouldn't be a landslide yes everywhere...

I am a Survivor Main (but also play quite a lot of Killer), and I like the Ghost Face changes. I have not played vs him, will do that when he is live, but I have faced the first PTB version and I never had such boring games in DBD, ever.

Let me guess whatever could survivor main think : "OMG no terror radious AND instadowns unfair OP please nerf also bring old DS back cuase new DS is useless, it's one time use so it's supposed to be strong."
You don't want opinions of anyone who is biased towards his own side, survior nor killer. GF is in a good spot (with exception of OoO). He has counterplay, he's fun to play against, he's decently strong. Most of players now see this so that's why numbers are so high on the vote.

As much as I hate to say it a Nerf is most likely coming in my opinion, The Detection is too wonky as it is right now and that's whats making him strong.
There will be multiple complaints on his release about survivors staring, pointing even being picked up by ghostface and not deactivating his power which is the case with his buff. My Guess is the devs will wait a month for sales to drop then nerf/fix the detection putting him back in a weak spot.
That's the problem with a power designed like ghostface is he's weak by design, Having the detection be part of his power makes him outright weak. He;s only decent now because it's not working properly.
It's three 3rd person cameras vs one 1st person. He was doomed from the beginning.

I always use premotion, so I'll have no problem with detection. And yes, instadown is a problem for low-mid range survs, same as MoM in the other side.
An about DS, I think it should be 30 secs.

Problem is that low-mid ranked survivors can get better and spot GF more efficiently. No matter how skilled you are as killer old MoM would always screw you whenever you would play low tier killer.
Also I think DS is fine. 1 minute feels just about right. Only complain I have about it is that unless you count in head you have no idea if it's a minute already. I cetainly don't want any notification if they have a DS but it's so annoying to have to count for each survivor just to be sure.

But can we have some details of the nerf? Where the hell they said "Ghostaface nerf incoming" ???? What the nerf will be?

Ghostface is in a perfect point I see as of now, counterplay and all, I mean we have Hillbilly, Nurse, Leatherface and Myers? Why not Ghostface.

Then nerf him in mid chapter to early ptb state!

I commented this in another post that asked the devs to nerf Ghostface but I think it applies here too:
He went from being a basic-M1-killer-with-unusable-garbage-power one week to viable and possibly competitive for mid-high ranks the next. 1 little nerf to how he is now will make him lose viability again, and since this is a licensed DLC people have to pay money for and can't be bought by grinding for shards... I don't believe anyone would accept much less pay real money for a killer who isn't at least viable. Especially when its such a famous killer of cinema. Remember how many people screamed at the devs on forums like this for refunds after the Freddy nerf? How many have done the same after the Legion nerf? No matter how "Fun" a killer is to play as or oppose, if they aren't able to compete in mid-high ranks, they are garbage and no one's gonna buy a garbage killer. Just last week there were posts and comments of people stating that they won't be purchasing GhostFace because he was terrible, and although the frequency of those statements has dropped since his PTB buff, there are still people making the same statements, because even after the buff its speculated that at best he'll be a mid tier killer, and they won't accept anything short of high tier for their money.
The Devs made a smart move business-wise by buffing him, but even smarter than that, they only buffed him to the point of viability, and didn't make him an "OP Pay to Win Killer" as he still has counter-play that will just take a few matches for players to adopt. On top of all of that, I believe everyone would benefit if he is able to be viable at the high ranks, personally I'm getting sick of fighting only Nurses, Spirit's and Billy's at rank 5+, and it would be great to have another contender giving us more diverse experiences there.

Yknow usually people give me ######### for spouting I'm a Survivor main, and this is exactly why I do it.
People just assume when they have a different opinion, they MUST be a Killer main. Well, I think Ghostface is in a good spot imo. In fact, he could use a small buff so hooked/downed Survivors either can't reveal him, or can do it within a VERY small distance.

I just got my first quad with ghost face, complete with hatemail. He plays how I wanted a killer to play which is great. the only issue I have is hooked survivors being able to break his night shroud

This is a sarcastic statement many people use in referral to how some killers get nerfed once they're in the game, such as Freddy, who was a decent killer once upon a time, but was made horrible by people who complained enough.

P2W KILLER has sprint from Meg survivor + run while crunching from The Pig killer and Nea the survivor + stalking from Michel Mayer but instant + kill in 1 stab from Michel Mayer but faster + watch survivors like bbq and chile from leather face + run more than survivors or Legion even wihouth use the sprint + long weapon lunge from Freddy + his own habilitys like block engines = block the main target of survivors + learned habilitys from other killers, etc. Dead game for me lol just need teleport from Nurse right ??. Literally 90% killers switched to him, you dont even see the old killers anymore unless you play 24/7, i bought recently Michael Mayers and i feel scammed cuz he can stalk and oneshot in less than 5 seconds while i need the whole match to do the same with Michael Mayers, totally game breaking, all matches as survivor against him, he killed the whole party in less than 2 mins even with obiously noob player handling him.
