A way to play on linux?

Ok, so I know there is no native version for linux. But ever since steam released proton I've wanted to switch OS.

The game does actually run with proton but EAC doesn't work
Judging for what I've read EAC has made WINE modules for other games in the past.

the point of the post:

-Devs, if you're reading this, is it too much work to make this work on proton? I know you're not obligated to do so but it would be nice of you
-Anyone knows a clever way to make EAC work on linux? Maybe is it possible to use the EAC module from a different game?

can you maybe install the virtual machine Oracle VM, then install windows on it with DBD

Dead by Daylight needs DX11, which needs an actual physical graphics card, the only way for a VM to have that is passing it through with a KVM, and for that you need to have 2 graphic cards(one for windows and one for linux)

At that point is more viable to just dualboot(even if you have to reboot to switch between OS)

I was just looking for a solution to this since the game works perfectly with proton and it's only an issue with Easy Anti-Cheat(an issue that has been solved on other games)

EDIT: I'm in no way saying that this HAS to be done, just that it would be cool

UP! please devs can you maybe contact EAC to know what is the situation? if they will work on compatibility with Steam/Proton? When EAC will be compatible with Steam Linux and Proton it will be fully playable on Linux. That would be great to have some kind of attention please.

I would also like this to be fixed. I have always dreamed of a day i can compleatly break away from windows. I prefer linux but due to issues like this have to run an half windows half Ubuntu rig.
